Our Journey Back To Love -
Chapter 125
Chapter 125
Brian glared at Yelena through the video call. “Yelena, keep poking your nose where it doesn’t belong, and you’ll regret it,” he warned.
Yelena, unsettled by his piercing gaze, bit her lip before firing back, “What kind of man are you to threaten
me?
“If you’re so tough, why don’t you handle Stellie’s aunt and her moral crusade? Show us what you’re made
of!”
Brian turned to Stella. “Did your aunt pay you a visit?”
Stella nodded calmly. “Yeah.”
She retrieved her phone and addressed Yelena, “I’ll catch up with you later. Bye.”
After hanging up, she turned to Brian. “Brian, I’ve got this under control. You don’t need to interfere.”
Brian scowled, visibly displeased.
At that moment, someone entered the room.
Yvonne entered the dining room. “Mr. Foley, Mrs. Hark is here to apologize to Mrs. Foley.”
The Hark family had been rattled by the lawyer’s letter sent out the previous night.
Upon waking, Melanie immediately demanded to come and apologize to Stella, fearing that any delay could mean her son spending the rest of his life behind bars.
“Let them wait,” Brian said calmly.
“Yes, sir,” Yvonne replied and left to relay the message
“What’s going on?” Stella turned to Brian. “Why’s Mrs. Hark here apologizing to me?”
Brian took a bite of his food. “I sent a lawyer’s letter to the Hark family last night.“,
“Is he awake yet?”
“He got out of danger this afternoon and made a statement admitting he drugged you. That spooked the Hark family,” Brian said, savoring each word as he leisurely finished his meal.
Stella breathed a sigh of relief upon learning that Terence had woken up.
She had always dreaded the possibility of things spiraling out of control to the point of causing someone’s death or serious injury. The mere thought of accidentally taking a life or inflicting severe harm
haunted her deeply.
After they finished dinner, Brian finally took Stella’s hand and led her outside.
Melanie and her family approached with forced smiles. “Mr. Foley, Mrs. Foley…”
Brian remained silent as he guided Stella to her seat. His composed demeanor cast a palpable tension

over the Hark family, who watched anxiously.
Melanie passed them tea. “Mr. Foley, Mrs. Foley, please, have some tea.”
Stella wasn’t sure if she should drink it and glanced at Brian.
Brian declined the tea but spoke calmly, “Mrs. Hark, do you finally see what your son is capable of? He not
only drugged my wife but also laid hands on her.”
Melanie’s forehead glistened with sweat as she reproached herself, delivering two swift slaps to her own
face.
“It’s my fault. I shouldn’t have allowed my disrespectful son to harm Mrs. Foley. I’ve failed in raising him. Please forgive me, Mrs. Foley, and don’t hold it against a foolish woman like myself…”
She then knelt down, crying pitifully.
Stella felt a bit helpless.
These people always seemed so self–righteous when they thought their actions were justified, yet they
turned into the most pathetic sobbing messes when confronted with their mistakes.
“Don’t bother crying in front of me. It won’t work,” Brian stated firmly. His unwavering gaze silenced Melanie instantly.
He continued, “If you truly want to make amends, show some genuine remorse.”
Melanie hesitated, clearly uncertain of what to do next
