Chapter 90

da Stella’s surprise soon turned into despair, Jessica owned a villa at Tarovian Terrace. It was a gift worth. 200 million from Brian. He splurged on a villa for Jessica, yet he refused to return Simon’s villa to Stella.

She felt like someone had poured cold water all over her. That jerk sure was nice to his first love, wasn’t

he?

She looked up and noticed the similarities between No 10 Tarovian Terrace and Simon’s place, No. 8 Tarovian Terrace. Her longing for her dad deepened,

She walked to the backyard, where she found Jessica sipping on a drink.

Upon seeing Stella, Jessica smiled and remarked, “Brian bought this villa for me. It’s gorgeous, isn’t it?”

“It is,” Stella replied thoughtlessly.

Jessica added, “I heard that your family previously lived at No. 8 Tarovian Terrace. Didn’t Brian transfer the villa to you after the divorce?”

Refusing to answer the question, Stella handed Jessica the handbag. “Ms. Xenos, this is the handbag. I only used it once. Please take a look.”

If it weren’t for that one scratch from Stella’s one–time use, the handbag could have fetched a resale

value of 30 thousand dollars or more.

“Bring it to me,” Jessica called her over.

Stella walked toward Jessica with the bag, but the latter did not accept it. Jessica stared flatly at the bag while Stella continued holding the box. “Stella, why are you selling off the bag? Are you short of money

lately?”

“Yes. I need some money.” Stella replied.

At the same time, she felt a dull pain from the blister on her foot. She specifically chose to wear flats.

today, but the blisters still acted up. Her face paled from the pain.

Noticing Stella’s discomfort, Jessica purposely ignored it. She casually remarked, “Do you want me to refer you to a gig? I heard you play the piano. Why don’t you work as a pianist at my birthday party? I’ll pay

you 50 thousand dollars per night.”

“It’s fine. I’ve been quite busy lately.” Stella turned down the offer with a smile.

Jessica’s birthday was around the corner–it would fall on Saturday night.

“Why? Is it too little for you? How about 100 thousand dollars per night? I’d like you to play the piano for my dance with Brian.”

Jessica’s request was clearly an attempt at humiliating Stella. She wanted Stella to perform while she

danced with Stella’s ex–husband.

Feeling frustrated, Stella was about to turn down the request when Jessica exclaimed, “Brian, what brings

you here?”

Stella looked over and saw Brian striding toward them He was clad in a black suit, holding a bag of health supplements in his hand. “I’m here to deliver some health supplements for you.”

Seeing that, Stella walked to the side. Brian did not even glance at her. He settled beside Jessica and spoke in a deep voice, “These health supplements are for you. Remember to take them daily.”

“But I haven’t finished the supplements you bought me last time,” Jessica replied softly, with a hint of complaint. “Brian, didn’t you pay Stella alimony after the divorce? Why does she have to sell off her bags

now?”

Stella’s chest tightened nervously when she overheard Jessica’s remark.

Brian finally turned to look at Stella. He stared at the bag in her hand.

Jessica added, “She is your wife of two years, after all. She’s all alone after the divorce. You should really pay her alimony. How else is she supposed to survive?”

Brian let out an emotionless chuckle. “She doesn’t need me at all.”

“What does that mean?”

“Haven’t you heard? She’s been getting cozy with Bernard recently. With Bernard around, I don’t need to worry about her,” Brian said

“Oh, is that so?” Jessica nodded before turning to Stella. “Stella, I’m good with the bag. It looks fine.

Leave it behind. I’ll buy it from you.”

“Sure.” Keeping a smile, Stella left the bag with Jessica and attempted to leave.

“By the way, Stella, what do you think about my suggestion for you to play at my birthday party?” The thought suddenly crossed Jessica’s mind again, and she called out to Stella.

dat

Brian glanced at Jessica. “What’s that?”

“Well, Stella looks like she’s in need of money. I thought of hiring her to play the piano at my birthday party

at 50 thousand dollars per night. It’s my way of helping her.”

Stella turned around and replied gently, “It’s fine. I’m quite busy at the studio because we have a

partnership going on. I don’t think I have the time to play at your birthday party.”

“Is that the partnership with Nas Group? Jessica asked.

“Yes,” Stella replied.
