You Missed

Bitter we feel in times of shame

Hung then shot and fallen by fame

The air was cold, the leaves were brown

As I walk alone and won't turn around

Like an open fire in an open flame

My surroundings cave in as I won't be the same

This miserable spell came into my route

I'm telling you now, you kind of missed out

With lavender wrists, a cough and a sigh

I welcome the pain with blood in my eyes

Its weak to cry, so stick to what counts

Keep it inside to whatever amounts

It sucks to be here and it's beautiful there

But reality hits and makes you aware

From a flowing shower to a merciless drought

I met you now, so yea you missed out

I was loving once upon a time when I cared

Played by the rules and tried to be fair

A golden heart for those in need

A willing hand for you to succeed

Some learn once and others take more

They look for you to up their score

Don't try to wash and rid my doubt

That's all in the past and you just missed out

I'm glad you think you are what you claim

Stick to your word, play by your game

There is nothing to say for those like me

I don't call for words, I live by deeds

You smile in the present, I dreaded the past

I wish you the best and something to last

The ground is now frozen lacking a sprout

I'm sorry for that, but you really missed out
