Where is Everybody?

Where is everybody? Where is everyone?

Memories fly by and I'm still the one

Who's stuck, in the past, in the times that were tough

Never left, made it last, when the going got rough

Do you need a ride? Some help? Are you feeling hungry?

A friend is a friend, no I don't need your gas money.

When an argument struck and you called me in tears

I always answered my phone, and now it's been years

You complain how your friends treat you so bad

You're so blind to notice the one you've already had

You say no ones ever there for you and you feel down

But how I am to know, when you didn't keep me around

I've been pushed away, stomped on, and put to the side

I wasn't cool enough to hang, you stated your pride

You let the friendship die, and so did you, and you did too

That's okay, I'm good with that, I know my heart is blue

And what about the things you've done absurd?

Like the promises you claim and failed to keep your word.

I'll admit that hurts, but I suffer in silence

I'll still be there for you when I hear your sirens

Just know I'm not a fool, I won't support your old habits

But I guess they're not old when clearly you're still at it

I grew up and moved on, so I'm assuming that's the cause

That my other BFF resigned and hit pause

All of my friends who said they'd make it to today

Where is everybody? They've have all gone away
