Not long after, the right army led by Felicia and Erica assisted in the retreat of the injured people ofthe Phoenix Master Clan from the east.

Meanwhile, Marcia, Cherry and others from the Butterfly Divine Clan alongside members of theDragon Master Clan led by Moira retreated as well, fighting along the way to try and buy more time.But because they were still outnumbered by the spiritual race forces led by Alston, they struggled toget rid of their enemy for a long time. Gradually, they were surrounded.

But then, Jill and Bryant arrived just in time with their forces to join Marcia and the others.

"It's strange. Didn't the Phoenix Master Clan retreat? Why did they suddenly return? Do they have adeath wish?" Alston wasn't gullible. He immediately became suspicious.

Soon, Alston discovered that most of the new reinforcements were human spirit manipulators andonly a few elite Phoenix Master Clan warriors led by Jill.

He immediately understood what was going on. Then, he ordered two groups to chase after theretreating enemy armies with one group heading the east while the other heading the west. Hestayed behind, intending to deal with the troops led by Marcia, Cherry, Moira, Jill and Bryant face-to-face.

The Glory Army boasted quite a few powerful ordinary spiritual beings that greatly outnumberedtheir enemy's. Although Sabina and the other women were considered to be as powerful as theordinary spiritual beings along with Bryant and Lance, they were busy dealing with their respectiveopponents.

As for the spiritual masters on Alston's side, there were as many as ten. This included the elders whopossessed enough power to shake the earth with a single move.

To compare, Rocky's side only had three spiritual masters along with Jill. Adding Marcia, Moira,Cherry and Kayla, there were only eight individuals who were of the spiritual master level. Thismeant that the Glory Army still had the upper hand.

Fortunately, they were able to form a stalemate with Alston thanks to two legendary guardianbeasts—the Phoenix Master Clan’s Ice Phoenix Queen and the Dragon Master Clan's Holy-bloodDragon King. All this extra support meant they wouldn't go down so easily.

Soon, the legendary guardian beasts of both the Ghost Master Clan and the Giants Clan appeared—making the upcoming battle even more thrilling.

The tension grew with each passing second. The elite warriors of the Phoenix Master Clan led by Jillwere by no means weak. However, they weren't in their best state due to the continuous fiercebattles they had to join over the past few days. To make things worse, they were being fiercelyattacked by Alston's ordinary spiritual beings and spiritual masters. The fierce attacks were likewaves on a stormy ocean, turbulent and ruthless. With all these adding up, the Phoenix Master Clanwas having a rather hard time.

"I believe it's time to retreat,” Marcia proposed to Bryant once she saw the time had come.

Bryant gave the order and led both the human spirit manipulators and the human troops to fightheading east as they retreated, leading away some of some spiritual race forces of the Glory Army.Marcia then gestured to Moira and Jill. Soon, all the members of the Dragon Master Clan, the elitewarriors of the Phoenix Master Clan, and even Cherry with her Butterfly Divine Clan retreated to thewest.

Once he realized that Marcia and the others had retreated by splitting into two groups, Alston knewthat they were trying to separate his forces. Thinking their struggle meaningless, Alston then led thepatriarch and several spiritual masters of the Giants Clan, and a thousand spiritual race members tochase after Marcia and the others to kill them all.

At the same time, he raised the Dark King Mace in his hand. All of a sudden, lightning flashed andthunder rumbled in the sky, and dark wind was surging. A moment later, hundreds of dark thunderfell directly from the sky, exploding a circle of light, and spreading around at the same time. In aninstant, wherever they fell, there were ruins and no bones left.

When Marcia and others saw that Alston was going to kill them as soon as he made a move, theirfaces changed.

"Moira, please retreat with the others,” Marcia ordered Moira, knowing that blocking the Glory Armywouldn't be an easy feat.

"I won't leave you here!" Moira retorted in defiance, not wanting her sister to put herself at risk."Don't worry about me. I've already figured out my escape plan.” Marcia then suddenly leaped andrushed towards Alston, wielding the almighty Flood Dragon Halberd to fend off Alston's attack.Suddenly, an enormous halberd-like silhouette fell from the heavens and slashed across the airtowards Alston.
