Chapter 1534 An Old Woman

After chomping down a lot of fish that Rocky cooked, Eunice, who used to eat meagerly, couldn'thelp but pat her slightly swollen belly and complained, “It's your fault! Why did you cook so much?Now, look what you've done. I'm so full!”

“Nobody asked you to eat that much,” Rocky replied with a bitter smile. “I'm going inside my MagicSpiritual Space to deal with something. Are you okay to just stay here alone?” Rocky asked aftertidying up the table and the tableware.

"Do you take me for a toddler? Of course, I can manage by myself. But actually, I'm bored to bealone. Where's Kohen? Ask it to come out to accompany me!” Eunice said after hesitating for awhile.

Rocky just smiled and shook his head as he called Kohen out to accompany Eunice. Afterward, hedirectly entered his Magic Spiritual Space and went to his laboratory to continue his research.

As they separated ways for a while and did their own thing, the night passed rather quickly.

The following morning, when Rocky walked out of the space, he was a bit surprised that he couldn“treplace both Eunice and Kohen beside the stream.

“Where would those two go early in the morning?” Rocky let out a frown, knowing that thissituation wasn’t normal. Even if Eunice left because she had something to do, she would definitelyleave a message. However, wherever he looked, he didn't replace any hint of her whereabouts.

“What's happening?” Rocky murmured to himself, worrying about the two. Without wasting anytime, he released his spiritual power to search for Eunice’s aura within the area of a few hundredmeters.

Soon enough, Rocky perceived Eunice’s aura. However, it was fluctuating rapidly as if she wasfighting with someone or something.

As soon as he found a hint of her aura, Rocky rushed towards the direction where she was supposedto be.

Not long after, Rocky passed by a hill and eventually saw a delicate figure that should be Eunice. Atthe same time, he also noticed that there was a short figure who was fighting against her.

However, the thing that surprised Rocky was that Eunice was actually at a disadvantage and wasbeing pushed to a corner.

Worried that Eunice might suffer an injury, Rocky dashed forth and swiftly made his way betweenthem. In an instant, he appeared in front of Eunice and protected her by displaying the Thousand-star Swordsmanship.

All of a sudden, a blinding light exploded within dozens of meters, filling the area with dazzlingstarlight. At the same instant, the short figure was quickly enveloped in it.

Sensing that he was in grave danger, the short figure hurriedly leaped backward to get out ofRocky's attacking range. His movements were extremely agile and did not resemble a human beingat all.

Seeing this, Rocky did not continue his attack and just stood still.

“Basil! He is the thief who stole our fish last night! I saw him sneaking around early in the morningso I chased after him,” Eunice shouted as she pointed at the short figure.

As Rocky took a closer look, he eventually realized that the short figure was actually a child aboutthe ages of twelve to thirteen. However, his appearance was pretty different from normal humanchildren. He had a pair of fierce eyes which was almost the same as a beast. At that very moment,they were filled with vigilance as he stared at Rocky. The short figure was not wearing humanclothes but rather beast skin, which revealed his blackened skin. That was when Rocky recognizedthat he was a real black child.

“Oh, it's just a child!” Rocky was actually a little surprised because it was out of the ordinary for achild to appear here in the Spiritual Sea Region.

"Yes, but it's also a thief,” Eunice softly mumbled.

Because of Rocky's sudden appearance, the little black boy looked restless and uneasy. From time totime, he would make loud groans like that of a beast.

Noticing that the little black boy was hostile to them, Rocky decided to restrain his aura and tried tocommunicate with him. “We're not bad persons. We won't hurt you. You don't need to be afraid.What's your name? And what are you doing here in the Spiritual Sea Region?”

However, there was no response from the little boy and it seemed that he didn't understand any ofthe words that Rocky just said. He just kept on slowly moving around Rocky and Eunice, not lettinghis eyes off of them.

“I don't think he can understand the human language. I've actually tried to speak to him earlier, buthe just attacked me,” Eunice said, still annoyed that she wasn't able to deal with the little boy byherself.

“There's something strange about him. He's just a child but his aura seems to be quite on par withours. Normally, at his age, he shouldn't be able to possess that kind of strength. I'm thinking if hewas born with divine power. Do you have a guess?” Rocky asked as he also fixed his eyes on theboy.

"Who knows? All I know is that we have to be careful. You're right; he's just a child but he seems tobe pretty strong. The worst part is that he is very hostile towards us!" Eunice said anxiously. She hadfought with him a while ago, so she knew that he couldn't be underestimated.

“Well, you called him a thief. It would be rather strange if he didn't become hostile to you,” Rockysaid as he teased Eunice, trying to ease her anxiety.

“Humph! What are we going to do now? It doesn’t seem like he would willingly listen to us,” Eunicereplied as she let out a frown.

“Let me try again.” Apparently, Rocky was interested in the little black boy, so he wanted to trysomething out.

Then, he tried to slowly approach the boy. However, since he was extremely vigilant towards Rocky,he quickly retreated, not giving Rocky a chance to get near him.

Seeing this, Rocky thought for a while and then decided to use the Mysterious Beast TransformationSkill. Suddenly, his whole body emanated a strange light and a peaceful aura that could make eventhe most hostile beings want to get close to him.

Then, soon enough, the boy, who had been retreating all this time, suddenly approached Rockysubconsciously. But not long after, he began to come back to his senses and immediately showed afurious expression, knowing that he had been deceived by Rocky. Because of this, he bared his teethand attacked Rocky. His thin hands were like sharp claws of a beast that shot out a domineeringforce.

However, even though he saw what the little boy was trying to do, Rocky just stood still and didn’tplan to dodge at all.

“Basil, what are you doing? Watch out!” Eunice couldn't help but exclaim worriedly because Rockymight actually get hurt with what he was trying to do.

Boom! Boom!

Suddenly, a few strong forces passed by Rocky but none of them hit him.

“I thought so. You didn’t mean to hurt me,” Rocky smiled calmly.

Seeing Rocky's composed expression, the boy was stunned momentarily. Then, he quickly jumpedback and distanced himself. Then, he spoke to Rocky in an incomprehensible language, but itlooked as if he was actually talking to himself.

After that, the boy suddenly turned around and eventually rushed into the forest. Immediately after,he disappeared without a trace.

"Hey! What were you trying to do? You scared me to death just now! Why didn't you fight back?”Eunice immediately asked as she rushed towards Rocky's side. But seeing that Rocky was safe andsound, she was somewhat relieved.

“It's because he didn't really want to hurt me. I'm thinking that he just wanted me to be aware of theoverwhelming odds against him,” Rocky explained.

“Huh? How did you come up with that conclusion?” Eunice asked and looked at Rocky in confusion."Hmm, it's just my guess.” Rocky shrugged his shoulders and revealed a faint smile.

“Ugh! How can you say that? That child doesn't look like a human at all! Is he a beast child?” It wassaid that sometimes, spiritual beasts adopted abandoned babies in their territories and raised them.“That's a possibility. But right now, we should be focusing on more important things.” Earlier, Rockyactually paid great attention to what the little black boy said. Although he didn’t understand a word,he got a feeling that the boy was trying to warn them about something. Unfortunately, he couldn“tverify it right now.

“Okay then,” Eunice agreed and put the matter aside.

Afterward, the two of them continued their journey under Kohen’s guidance.

Meanwhile, there was a huge treehouse on a thousand-year-old tree in an ancient forestsomewhere in the Spiritual Sea Region. Inside the treehouse, there were all kinds of bottles and jugsof herbs. At that moment, an old woman was grinding some black herbs on an old table.

At the same time, there was a crystal ball on the table. Inside it, all kinds of images were constantlyflashing. Out of nowhere, Rocky and Eunice showed up on the crystal ball and it seemed that they wereshuttling through a forest.

As soon as the old woman saw Rocky, she immediately stopped what she was doing and suddenlymurmured excitedly, “He looks just like him! He looks just like him!”

The very next moment, the old woman turned into a shadow and disappeared in situ
