Chapter 1535 An Unbelievable Occurrence

Two days passed in the twinkling of an eye. Rocky and Eunice had searched through numerousareas under Kohen's guidance, but they couldn't replace any traces of the Army-blessing Scroll.

"Hey, little guy, can you replace it or not?

I'm getting tired of all this searching!" complained Eunice.

She heaved Kohen upward and forced it to look into her eyes as she scowled at it grumpily.

Kohen stared back at her with an innocent, puppy-like expression that erased all the irritation shefelt earlier.

"Oh, darn it! Don't look so sad. We'll replace it soon,” muttered Eunice.

She hesitantly patted Kohen on the head, trying to comfort it.

All of a sudden, the little pet abruptly straightened warily and hissed twice. It seemed like it hadsensed something dangerous coming their way, as it glared fiercely toward the left of where Rockyand Eunice were standing.

Almost at the same time, Rocky also noticed the subtle shaking of the ground that grew strongerand stronger every second as if a huge monster was approaching.

"What's wrong, little guy?

Is something coming?"

Eunice asked Kohen, turning her confused gaze toward Rocky.

While Rocky and Eunice were looking at each other in bewilderment, an enormous shadow suddenlycovered them. It stood at least ten meters tall, as high as a small mountain. Although they couldn'tsee clearly what it looked like, they could see the black spikes protruding from all over its body,which made it look like a gigantic hedgehog.

"Whoa! That thing is huge. Let's get out of here!"

Rocky was the first to react. He saw that they were at a disadvantage and immediately shouted awarning. He grabbed Eunice's waist and swiftly dragged her backward with him.

Rocky, with Eunice in his arms, retreated and landed on his feet dozens of meters away from thegiant hedgehog. But it suddenly shook its huge body, and black spikes instantly shot out from it likea rainstorm, covering the area within a hundred meters with black spikes. The surrounding treesbecame collateral damage as the spikes speared through them and tore them to pieces.

She shook Rocky a few times but found that he wasn't responding, which madeher even more anxious. She was afraid that the giant hedgehog would try to attack them again, soshe didn't hesitate to grab Kohen from Rocky's shoulders, thrust it into her pocket, and then usedher delicate body to support Rocky. At the same time, she took out a spiritual rune, andspontaneously used her spiritual power to ignite it.

The next moment, the rune erupted into a white ripple of light, which instantly devoured Rocky andEunice.

With a deep breath, Eunice pulled out the black spike from Rocky's right shoulder, and as a result,blood gushed out from his wound like a river. She immediately tore off a piece of her skirt andpressed it on Rocky's wound to stop the bleeding. However, she realized after a few minutes thatthe bleeding wasn't slowing down.

Panicking slightly, she hastily fumbled with a bottle of medicine and applied it onto Rocky's wound.Unfortunately, it didn't seem to have any effect.

"Why won't it stop bleeding?

At this rate, he may bleed to death!"

Eunice murmured fearfully.

Suddenly, she felt a slight movement from her pocket. It was Kohen, who was wriggling and tryingto come out. It immediately jumped onto Rocky's chest and began licking the wound on his rightshoulder.

Without any delay, she put Kohen back on Rocky's chest and let it continue licking Rocky's injury.The bleeding stopped soon enough, but Rocky still did not wake up.

Eunice stared at Rocky worriedly, bound up his wound, and sat cross-legged, adjusting her breathand waiting for Rocky to wake up.

Midnight came soon. The beasts outside the cave slept on; the cold winds howled and swirled, andthe temperature dropped to uncomfortable levels.

Inside the cave, Eunice had already ignited a bonfire to warm herself and Rocky.

"Why aren't you waking up, man?

Come on! You're supposed to be strong!"

She couldn't help but sigh in distress. Rocky had been unconscious for almost a day, but hiscondition didn't change a bit. If Eunice didn't see him breathing faintly, she would have thought himdead already.

Kohen was lying down on Rocky's stomach, looking a little restless.
