Chapter 186 Kill Two Birds With One Stone

Rocky stared closely at the spot under the magical saliva and soon, he saw something pitch-blackcrawl out of the ground. The creature had a hard, black shell and black wings. Rocky realized that itwas the Dark Heaven Insect that he had been looking for. This particular Insects strength was at thefirst grade of the three-star level, the same as that of the one he had captured earlier.

Rocky heaved a sigh of relief. The Dark Heaven Insect at the first grade of the three-star level waspretty easy to deal with. It would not take him too much effort to capture it alive. On one hand, hisstrength was the same as the creature's. And in addition to that, he had secret weapons—the bonearrows dipped in the Centipede-snake's venom, powerful enough to paralyze a big beast in a splitsecond. But before he could move in to capture it, he saw another huge figure crawling out of theground nearby. It was another Dark Heaven Insect. But this one was at the second grade of thethree-star level, stronger than the previous one. Its strength was at least equivalent to a spiritmanipulator, who was at the second grade of the Earthly Stage.

"Wow! I get to kill two birds with one stone? I just can't believe my luck!" Rocky blurted outjubilantly. He was surprised by the arrival of the second Dark Heaven Insect. It was hard to believethat he had managed to lure two Dark Heaven Insects out of their caves at the same time with hismagical saliva.

Although it was a lucky break that two of them had popped out from underground all of a sudden,it was going to be tricky to capture and get them back. He had to figure out a good plan fast. Ifthere were only one of them, it would have been easy for him to capture it alive. But now, he had tocapture both at the same time. It was going to be a bit troublesome. The Dark Heaven Insect wasvery difficult to deal with because of its tough skin. Rocky had to conquer the two Dark HeavenInsects at the same time. He would be in serious trouble if they joined together to fight him off.

He watched as the two Dark Heaven Insects crawled out of the ground and dashed towards themagical saliva that was hanging above them. Rocky felt his heart pound and his mind was racing. Heknew that he had to come up with a good plan as soon as possible. Opportunity seldom knockedtwice; if he missed this chance to catch the two insects alive, it would be hard for him to replace anopportunity like this again. His plan, although it was an absolutely difficult challenge, was to takethe risk and go all out to capture the two insects alive. But if that plan failed, he would kill theweaker one first, and capture the stronger one alive, since it could produce Dark Heaven Eggs at themedium grade. It was the best strategy he could come up with at that moment—sacrifice theknights in order to save the queen, which meant making minor sacrifices to safeguard majorinterests.

Making up his mind quickly, with two abrupt whoosh sounds, Rocky shot two bone arrows stainedwith the Centipede-snake's venom, one after another, towards the Dark Heaven Insect at the secondgrade of the three-star level. He wanted to immobilize the stronger insect first so that he couldconcentrate on capturing the weaker one.

But Rocky had completely underestimated the strength of the stronger Dark Heaven Insect. Themoment he shot the bone arrows, the stronger Dark Heaven Insect immediately noticed the threat.Before the arrows could reach its body, it suddenly turned around and flapped its black wingsswiftly. A gust of air rose, which deflected the flying bone arrows instantly and they pierced into thetrunk of a tree nearby. His original plan had failed.

Rocky squinted, looking cold and grim. The situation had gotten trickier for him if he wanted tocapture the two insects together. The weaker three-star Dark Heaven Insect became alert after itsaw what had happened. It turned around and stood next to the stronger Dark Heaven Insect,hissing hysterically and looking ferociously at Rocky. But soon, it sensed the danger in the airinstinctively and tried to quickly escape back into its cave.

"Uriah!" Rocky waved to his war beast. He wasn't planning on letting either one of the insectsescape.

Uriah understood Rocky's orders and immediately howled deafeningly. As it roared into the sky, itstwo flame tails entangled with each other and a fireball appeared. It shot out, and with a loud bang,the fireball exploded in front of the two holes from where the two Dark Heaven Insects had crawledout of.

The earth shook for a moment, and the holes collapsed and were buried under gravel and soilWhen the two Dark Heaven Insects realized that they could not return to their nests, they hissedangrily at Rocky. The stronger Dark Heaven Insect stretched its black wings and rushed towardRocky, ready to attack. The creature's huge body, coupled with its super power, destroyedeverything in its path and razed everything in the way to the ground.

"Uriah! I'll leave the big guy to you. Be careful!” Rocky said.

Uriah roared twice towards the sky, and then charged towards the stronger insect. Uriah's roarscaught the attention of the stronger insect. When it realized that Uriah's power was equal to itsown, it immediately grew hostile and stared at the enemy with its cyan pupils. It took an attackstance and rushed towards Uriah.

Uriah did not show any sign of weakness either. Its vigor and momentum suddenly increased. Itlooked mighty, like the king of all beasts. With a roar, it continued to dash towards its enemywithout the slightest fear.

Both Uriah and the insect were beasts at the second grade of the three-star level. The moment theyclashed, a fierce fight began.

When the other insect saw the fight between the two beasts, it moved to help its companion. ButRocky blocked its path swiftly.

"I will be your opponent today!" Rocky bellowed. As he stared at the weaker three-star Dark HeavenInsect, the corner of his mouth curled up into a wicked smirk. He could not allow the two insects toattack Uriah at the same time. That would be dangerous.

Rocky also knew that he had to end the fight with the weaker insect as soon as possible. AlthoughUriah was at the second grade of the three-star level, it was still slightly inferior to the Dark HeavenInsect at the same level. Also, the insect had a strong defense, thanks to its hard shell. Uriah didn'thave any major advantages in terms of attack or defense. So, he had no choice but to conquer thehuge Dark Heaven Insect in front of him quickly and then run to help Uriah conquer the other DarkHeaven Insect. He was afraid that if he took more time, Uriah would inevitably get hurt.

However, Rocky's successful capture of a Dark Heaven Insect at the second grade of the three-starlevel last time was mostly due to the man with the red hair. He had used him to consume most ofthe Dark Heaven Insect's power. Thus, with him being alone this time, it would not be that easy toconquer the creature.

"Guess I'll just have to give it my best shot," Rocky said firmly. He pulled out the Frozen WindDagger with one hand, while his eyes were closely fixed on the Dark Heaven Insect. The nextsecond, his eyes grew cold; he activated his power at the second grade of the Earthly Stage. Themomentum all over his body was increased immensely and he was stronger than before. Withoutany hesitation, he dashed towards his enemy.

Although the weaker three-star Dark Heaven Insect saw that Rocky was impressively stronger, itdidn't show any weakness. When it saw Rocky dashing directly towards it, the insect immediatelyflapped its black wings, which set off a gust of sand wave from the ground and blocked Rocky'sview. Then, the Dark Heaven Insect moved its huge body and tried to attack Rocky quickly fromunder the cover of the sand wave.

The next moment, there was a loud bang. When the dust dispersed slightly, it was clear that Rocky'sFrozen Wind Dagger had hit the hard shell of the insect. But since the shell was hard, the momentthe Frozen Wind Dagger hit it, a loud bang rang out and strong sparks flared up in the air. Still, theinsect didn't show any sign of weakness. It, at once, lifted its body abruptly with great force. Rockywas thrown aside violently. But he managed to land on his feet. He retreated two steps before hecould stand firm on the ground. It was obvious now, how amazing the power of the Dark HeavenInsect was.

After being thrown around by it a few times the same way, Rocky realized that he could not fightthe creature head-on. In a split second, he came up with a better plan. He drew his bow and shot anarrow directly at the Dark Heaven Insect. The insect immediately flapped its black wings, stirred up awave of dust, and tried to deflect the bone arrow. But a second after the first bone arrow was shot, asecond arrow headed towards the insect at a faster pace, almost parallel to the previous one.

Just as the insect had blown away the previous bone arrow, the other bone arrow flew directlytowards it. The three-star Dark Heaven Insect hadn't expected such a trick from its attacker. Before itcould react appropriately, the bone arrow pierced one of its legs.

The insect felt its forelimb go soft and weak and it soon fell to the ground with a loud thud.

When Rocky saw that his plan had worked, he was delighted. He took the opportunity and used hisFrozen Wind Dagger to attack it violently. He also used his bone arrows to neutralize the remaininglegs of the insect. Finally, the Dark Heaven Insect was defeated and captured, with its huge bodycompletely flattened to the ground.

After conquering the weaker three-star Dark Heaven Insect, Rocky had consumed more than half ofhis spiritual power. But he had no time to rest. To supplement his lost spiritual power, he took adrop of the magical saliva. Without further delay, he then dashed towards Uriah's direction, whowas in a fierce fight with the stronger three-star Dark Heaven Insect.

Since its power was inferior to the insects, Uriah was at a disadvantageous position at that moment.Rocky rushed to help Uriah.
