Rebirth of the Prime Dragon Master -
Chapter 187 Giving A Violent Thrashing
With a resounding boom, a fireball was catapulted from Uriah’s tail and heavily hit the iron-hardshell of the stronger three-star Dark Heaven Insect. With a shower of blinding sparks, its shell beganto smoke.
A few meters away, Rocky could sense that Uriah had greatly weakened in physical strength andspeed. The Dark Heaven Insect seized the opportunity and struck at Uriah, wiping it out. Because ofthe enormous consumption of its physical strength, Uriah rolled over on the ground before it couldstagger and stand up. Fortunately, it wasn't hurt badly.
Seeing Uriah being knocked down, Rocky was about to step in to offer some help. However, at themoment, a beast as small as a dog ran out. Standing before Uriah, it made threatening gestures tothe Dark Heaven Insect, valiant despite its harmless size.
"Little Rubygon!" Rocky cried out. He was totally astounded when he recognized the small creature, totally not expecting it to come rushing out to defend Uriah. However, Little Rubygon's power wasnowhere near the caliber of the Dark Heaven Insect.
The Dark Heaven Insect was visibly irritated by the small beast in front of it. Without hesitation, itran right at Little Rubygon, who would be killed or severely wounded if a collision happened. Rockycould only watch in horror, with no time to save poor Little Rubygon.
But all of a sudden, a beast jumped forward to keep Little Rubygon behind it. It took the blow fromthe collision of the Dark Heaven Insect. With a deafening bang, the impact wave spread to alldirections, dirt and stones flying as though they had been swept up in a hurricane. The ground wasshrouded in dust.
Uriah whimpered. It was completely exhausted and couldn't take it anymore, collapsing on theground. However, at the moment, the Dark Heaven Insect was preparing to launch a second attack.Uriah was in a critical condition. Its life was in great peril!
"Whistle!" A bone arrow zoomed rapidly through the air, sinking neatly into the hind leg of the DarkHeaven Insect. Pushed by the mighty momentum of the arrow, the Dark Heaven Insect lost itsbalance and tumbled down on its back.
At the point, Rocky darted towards the Dark Heaven Insect, tightly clutching the Frozen WindDagger. He stabbed its soft underside, and the Centipede-snake's venom seeped instantly into itsbloodstream. Almost right away, the Dark Heaven Insect was totally paralyzed, unable to fight backat all.
"Uriah!" Rocky shouted as he rushed to Uriah, which was hobbling to stand up. Going through thesecond violent collision, Uriah looked miserable. It was clear that it was suffering through a greatdeal of pain. However, after a careful examination, Rocky diagnosed that apart from some sideeffects of the collision, there was no fatal wound inflicted. He breathed a sigh of relief, patting Uriahgently.
Little Rubygon ran over to Uriah and whimpered, as if to thank it for saving its life. Uriah bowed itshead to rub against Little Rubygon's, comforting the distressed beast.
Rocky turned back to look at the two Dark Heaven Insects. Though Rocky had brought them undercontrol, he was scratching his head at how he could possibly transport them back. Last time, he hadcaptured only one Dark Heaven Insect, so the situation was easier to handle. But two Dark HeavenInsects were a different story, and they were pretty big to boot. It was going to be a really trickyproblem to bring the two Dark Heaven Insects back without raising the attention of soldiers of thenortheast military camp.
It was a pity that Rocky wasn't a spirit manipulator at the Heavenly Stage, or he could deal with thetwo Dark Heaven Insects without making an effort. After all, when a spirit manipulator reached theHeavenly Stage, he or she would be able to open the Magic Spiritual Space which was capable ofconnecting one space with another. With the Magic Spiritual Space, Rocky could have carried thespirit-manipulated beast with him to avoid unnecessary trouble and others" attention. Even morebeneficial was the fact that when a spirit manipulator evolved beyond the Heavenly Stage, his spirit-manipulated beast would gradually grow into a giant one along with his increase in power. Oncethis happened, his spirit-manipulated beast couldn't enter towns and cities. Otherwise, it wouldwreak great damage in its path. In other words, the Magic Spiritual Space was a must for the spiritmanipulator in multiple aspects of life.
Rocky took down the bottle containing the magical saliva and put it away in case that other wildspirit-manipulated beasts would be attracted. His spiritual power had almost run out and Uriah'sreserves had also reached its extreme limit. If they met any other powerful wild spirit-manipulatedbeasts, they would be in great trouble indeed
For the sake of security, however, Rocky took a drop of the magical saliva and also gave one toUriah so that they could both recover their physical strength and spiritual power as soon aspossible. Rather than suffer an unexpected attack, he decided that the wise thing to do was utilizetwo precious drops of the magical saliva.
After two hours, Rocky had recovered a lot with the magical saliva. By now, he had the energy tobrainstorm about how to transport the two Dark Heaven Insects back to the northeast militarycamp.
All of a sudden, a sharp hooting came not far away. "Damn! Hurry up, or I will stew you as mysupper! You jerks!"
At the sound of this voice, Rocky's eyes flashed like lightning. He moved quickly behind a giant rockand looked into the distance. He saw some spirit manipulators dressed in military uniforms, escorting two lorries of wood through the Carcass Valley. The spirit-manipulated beasts pulling thelorries were called bald camels. Though they were at a very low level, they were mighty and docileand were ideal for this function. They were agile and able to walk on any dangerously steeplandforms. Therefore, they were often used like horses to transport army provisions and other heavystuff.
Rocky looked the spirit manipulators up and down and found that their military uniforms wereembroidered with "northwest military camp”. It seemed that it was a team of spirit manipulatorsresponsible for escort of the northwest military camp. On average, their power was at the fifth gradeof the Mortal Stage.
At the sight of the two lorries, Rocky got an idea as his eyes lit up. Immediately, he tore a piece ofcloth and masked his face, then rushed towards the team like a shadow.
Those bald camels appeared to have sensed a certain aura, so all of them balked in fear. The spiritmanipulators instantly cracked the whips in their hands to drive them forward. They assumed thepoor beasts were simply feeling lazy and scolded, "Move! Don't be lazy!"
Regardless of the maltreatment, the bald camels stood still, staring straight ahead and trembling. Itseemed as if they were frightened at something and dared not move on.
At the point, the spirit manipulators noticed that a figure standing far ahead got in their way. Theycouldn't figure out whether he was hostile or not.
"Hey! Who are you? Get out of the way! Don't mess with us! Don't get in the way! You want to die?"one of the spirit manipulators bellowed as he stepped forward. He was arrogant and aggressive, and Rocky disliked him immediately.
"Leave the lorries and the bald camels, and you will leave with your life,” Rocky called out. Heplanned to snatch the two lorries and the bald camels. With them, he could effortlessly transport thetwo Dark Heaven Insects back. Since there were many bushrangers here, no one would think of himas a criminal.
"Did you hear that?" The team leader burst into peals of mocking laughter, looking around at theother spirit manipulators. They all saw this strange man as an overconfident wretch.
"Captain, he really thinks he's going to plunder us!" one of the spirit manipulators replied as heguffawed.
"Ha-ha! Plunder us? He must be kidding. Doesn't he recognize that we're the spirit manipulators ofthe northwest military camp? Doesn't he know our power is much beyond his? Has he been livingunder a rock? He really wants to plunder us. What a joke! He must be tired of living," the teamleader sneered. Of course, Rocky's aura seemed faint to them, so the team leader naturally assumedthat he was no big deal. He was convinced that Rocky was too arrogant about his power.
"You! Go to teach him a lesson. Show him he is nowhere near qualified to plunder the goods of thenorthwest military camp. Send him home!" the team leader ordered the fellow spirit manipulators.Instantly, they encircled Rocky, brimming with confidence though none of them were particularlypowerful. They were no match for Rocky and soon found this out, much to their horror.
Moments later, with their mouths full of blood, several figures, beaten black and blue, rolledgroaning on the ground. Some of them even had several of their teeth knocked out. Under thisviolent attack, their faces were marred almost to the point of not being recognizable.
