Chapter 202 Badly Injured (Part Two)

Later, Rocky found a blacksmith shop in the Evian City. He asked the blacksmith there to make 12large shackles according to the size he designed himself. After paying the deposit, he was told topick them up three days later. With nothing to do, he left the City.

When he returned to the northeast military camp from the Evian City, the night had already fallen.Rocky went to Marin's camp and returned the token to Marin. Earlier, she had given the token tohim so that he could enter the base camp which was heavily guarded and visit Sue.

"Have you seen Sue?" Marin asked.

"Yes," Rocky said with a nod.

"Have you also seen my cousin?" Marin asked with a strange look. She must be wondering whathappened with their interaction.

Rocky nodded without denial. Not only did he see her, but he also saw her naked. He didn't knowhow Marin would react if she found out what happened. Of course, he wasn't stupid enough to tellher that. He was not that bored to ask for trouble.

"Then, what is her impression of you?" Marin asked again.

"I don't know about that. Commander, if there is nothing more to discuss, then I should leave now,"Rocky said indifferently then turned around and left Marin's camp. At the same time, he wasthinking what kind of reaction she would have if she was told that he had seen Isis naked. He betthat she definitely would not have a good reaction. He imagined how infuriated and at the sametime embarrassed she would be by that revelation.

When he went back at his own room, Rocky saw Rubygon was running around, rummaging throughthe cabinet, and making constant noise. Meanwhile, Uriah seemed to have fallen asleep with its eyesclosed.

"You naughty little guy, when no one looks after you, you will raise the roof. There is something oddabout Uriah. It rarely falls asleep like that and leaves you alone,” Rocky said to himself, feeling ratherstrange. He didn’t put much thought to it though. He looked at Uriah strangely, then picked upRubygon and fed it a drop of magical Saliva. After that, he did a brain nerve stimulation forRubygon as usual.

Soon, Rubygon fell asleep as well.

After Rocky put Rubygon next to Uriah, he sat cross-legged on the bed, took some magical salivaand then began to cultivate.

When it was dawn, Rocky suddenly heard a moan. He immediately turned his head to search for itssource. He then saw that Rubygon was lying on Uriah and pat it with one of its claws. However,Uriah looked listless and ignored Rubygon's patting.

Rocky finally realized something wrong about Uriah. It never behaved like that before. Heimmediately got out of bed and walked over to Uriah. Touching Uriah’s body with his hand, hefound that Uriah's body temperature was extremely high. In fact, it was like having a fever. He wasalerted by this discovery.

"What's going on?" Rocky asked himself. It was Rocky's first time to see Uriah like this. Its physicalcondition was extremely good and it was also a spirit-manipulated beast. Thus, it was impossible forit to get sick. Yet, at that moment, Uriah seemed to be really in a bad condition. No wonder it wasn'tresponding to Rubygon.

Rocky was a very good genetic scientist in his previous life in the modern world as well as a verypowerful veterinarian who had done countless operations by himself. Despite so, he really was at aloss about what to do when he found Uriah get sick without any sign. After all, the spirit-manipulated beasts in his current world were quite different from animals in the modern world.Also, the fact that it was impossible for it to be sick meant he did not know a way to cure him

"It seems that I can only turn to Sheridan for help,” Rocky said at once when he suddenly thought ofthe old man, Sheridan, who seemed to be mighty but deliberately concealed his ability. He once hadwitnessed how the old man treated a spirit-manipulated beast. What was more surprising was thatthe beast soon recovered after it took the medicine prescribed by him. He must be extremelyknowledgeable about it and so he might know a way how to cure Uriah and make it feel better."Let's go to replace Sheridan," Rocky said softly to Uriah and patted its head.

Uriah then managed to stand up and staggered forward.

It was inconvenient to take Rubygon, so Rocky locked it in his room. He then only took Uriah to thebeast farm where he saw Sheridan last time.

When he arrived at the beast farm, he saw that Sheridan was not there yet. Rocky got some food forUriah first while they waited, but it had a poor appetite and didn't eat any food. It only found aplace and lay down there motionlessly, which made Rocky even more worried. Uriah neededimmediate medical attention.

After the sun came out, Rocky finally saw Sheridan walk into the beast farm slowly. He immediatelywent up to him. "Sheridan, please help me treat my spirit-manipulated beast. It seems to be verysick. Its temperature is very high," Rocky said eagerly and anxiously and then turned his attention toUriah. He wanted it to get treated immediately. He didn't want to waste any time because itscondition might worsen.

After hearing Rocky's statement, Sheridan also looked at Uriah for a few seconds. He walked over itand touched its body here and there. Then, he checked Uriah's eyelids and skillfully did a thoroughexamination of its body. After that, he squinted his eyes and asked Rocky, "Did your spirit-manipulated beast once fight with a powerful beast before?”

Rocky was stunned for Sheridan's accurate speculation. However, he couldn't tell him that it oncehad fights with other powerful beasts. Once again, he decided to avoid answering the questionstraight to the point. Thus, he simply said ambiguously, “I suppose it may not?"

"It's impossible! You are not qualified to be his master. You are not even aware that your own spirit-manipulated beast has serious internal injuries. How could you be so ignorant?” Sheridanquestioned him in rage. He certainly didn't like Rocky's response and his blatant irresponsibility.
