Isis and Marin were dumbfounded by what Rocky said. Fixating their eyes on him, the cousins askedfor confirmation in one voice, "The two of us?"

"Yeah, the two of you.” Rocky nodded.

"Deputy Commander in Chief and Commander Marin, it is a known fact that both of you come fromnoble families. Also, everybody knows that you're good at fighting in a battle with weapons andtactics. But, I assume you also know something about art. For example, you know how to playmusical instruments, play Chinese chess, sing and even maybe dance. Am I right?" Rocky asked Isisand Marin while looking at them in turns with his squinting eyes.

"Oh my God, Rocky! Are you looking down upon my cousin? She is a pro at all of these things thatyou mentioned, so how dare you question it? She is a master in dancing, in particular. In the wholeHoly Dragon Empire, nobody can outstrip her in dancing the Rainbow Skirt Under The Moon. Sheeven danced for His Majesty of the Holy Dragon Empire once, and he praised her..." Marin blurtedout.

"Cousin Marin!" Isis shouted as she was annoyed by Marin’s speech. She had known Rocky forenough time to know that he never asked a casual question. That was why she had a bad feelingthat maybe he would make her do something against her will.

"Oh, is that true?! That's great! So I think you also know how to play musical instruments, such asheptachord, don't you?" Rocky went on asking Marin after he seemed pleased with what he had justknown about Isis’ diverse skills.

"I know a little about playing the heptachord. Cousin Isis taught me previously,” Marin answered ina modest tone. In fact, she was quite good at playing the heptachord.

"All right, then! Good news! You're qualified to act in the play!" Rocky said confidently.

"Rocky, do you want to make fun of us? Is this your plan? I mean, is there any other reason for youto insist on making the two of us act in your play? Why don't you act by yourself?" Isis askedsuspiciously. She believed that he must be kidding with them on purpose.

"I have two reasons. The first is that I'm not a female, and the second is that I don't know how toplay any musical instrument or even dance. The play must cast two females who are good atdancing and playing musical instruments," Rocky explained calmly and patiently.

"Rocky, what the hell do you mean?" Rocky tried to explain to them, but the more he spoke, themore confused Isis and Marin felt. They had no idea what kind of play Rocky was asking them to actin.

"We're going to apply the empty fort strategy in order to convince the Timber Deity Empire that ourreinforcement troops have already arrived. If the strategy works, the troops of the Timber DeityEmpire would surely retreat,” Rocky answered seriously.

"Empty fort strategy? What is that exactly?" Both Isis and Marin seemed to be even more confused.Certainly, they had never heard of such kind of strategy, because the empty fort strategy onlyexisted in the world where Rocky came from. It was one of well-known brilliant schemes that hadpassed down from the ancient times. In his world, almost everybody knew about the strategy.

"I will fill you in on the details later. First of all, Deputy Commander in Chief, please dispatch thetroops right now urgently. We have to make everything ready before the enemy discovers there isactually no reinforcement troops inside the pass,” Rocky urged.

Isis seemed hesitant and doubtful before she took Silver Wind to the valley.

"Commander Marin, please take five hundred troops to cook inside the pass as soon as possible,and make sure that all the pots are used. Also, have some people hunt some wild animals." Rockysaid to Marin as soon as Isis left.

Marin snorted at him, but she immediately carried out the order.

"By the way, where is Rubygon?" Rocky mumbled. Soon, he found that Rubygon was listlessly lyingon the ground in a straw shed not far away with visible wounds all over its body.

Rocky ran to Rubygon together with Uriah. He checked on its wounds and found that there wasnothing severe. Rocky gave it two drops of the magical saliva, and then ordered Uriah to help healRubygon's wounds.

About an hour later, Rubygon partly recovered, and it started bouncing again.

"Thank you!" Rocky patted Rubygon on its head.

Rocky took two drops of the magical saliva. Sitting cross-legged, he began practicing his internalforce.

About four hours later, Rocky opened his eyes when he heard some noise from the south gate.

He saw Isis leading two thousand troops. They were walking into the pass in succession through thesouth gate. Inside the pass, many soldiers had already lit the fire to cook and put many pots on thefire. The smoke was curling upwards.

"It's almost time,” Rocky mumbled to himself, and walked towards Isis.

By now, Isis had already jumped off Silver Wind's back. When she saw that Rocky was walking toher, her eyes turned cold. It was not until he arrived at her side that she asked, "Is it time to tell mewhat play you want us to act in, or do you still think we are puppets?”

"It's very simple. What you need to do is to dance and play the heptachord together withCommander Marin on the defensive wall of the north gate a while later,” Rocky answered concisely."Wait, wait! Are you saying that you want us to dance on the wall?" Isis was immediately pissed off.After all, she was the Deputy Commander in Chief of the Crimson Dragon Group, so how couldRocky ever think about making her dance on the defensive wall? It was obviously not the rightoccasion.

"Is there anything wrong?” Rocky asked her.

"Yeah, you bet there is. If you don't give me a reasonable explanation, I will order them to tie you upand throw you outside right away, and then you will be picked up and taken back by the troops ofthe Timber Deity Empire. They will torture you so cruelly that you will wish you could die," Isisexclaimed in a determined tone. She looked ferocious because she believed that Rocky was justmaking fun of her.

"Madam, imagine you're a member of the Timber Deity Empire and that you see your enemyplaying the heptachord and dancing and enjoying a feast on the defensive wall. What will this makeyou think?" Rocky asked impatiently. He had no choice but to try to guide Isis to think from anotherperspective.

"Well..." Isis hesitated for a second. Then, she began thinking seriously for a while. After that, shehesitantly answered, "I will either think that my enemy doesn't fear me at all, or that it's a trap...""So, this is a reasonable explanation that satisfies you?" Rocky asked with a big smile on his face.

It was not until now that Isis realized she had been set up by Rocky. What she said right now waslike a slap on her face because the explanation turned out to be very simple. To make it worse, shehad required Rocky to explain to her. Known as an outstanding tactician in the Crimson DragonGroup, she was overwhelmed with shame.

"The performance of you and Commander Marin will directly determine the effectiveness of thescheme. By now, he had done a lot in preparation for the empty fort strategy, yet the resultsolely depended on the acting capability of Isis and Marin. They not only had to act as if it were real,but they also had to convince their enemies.

Isis fell silent after hearing what Rocky said. Some moments later, she suddenly raised her head andasked him seriously, "I have a question that you should truthfully answer."

"Sure, go on," Rocky said with a smile at the corners of his mouth because he thought that he knewwhat Isis was going to ask him. 'She will ask me why I was willing to carry out Lance's order bycoming here to help, * he thought.

"Why on earth did you come to Wild Heaven Pass?" Isis’ question took Rocky by surprise.

"Why, you ask!" Rocky burst into laughter as he wondered how she would feel if he told her that itwas because he wanted to rescue her and Marin from danger when he was told about that.

Of course, it was just kidding. He would never have done that because of how soft-hearted he was.
