Rebirth of the Prime Dragon Master
Chapter 400 Celebrating

Only half an hour had gone by.

The girls quickly changed into normal clothes. Isis and Marin were strikingly beautiful, head-turningstunning, both in their own different ways. As they got dressed, the moonlight shed its rays on theirfine bodies, highlighting their graceful and alluring features; a spectacle for passers-by, whoinadvertently slowed their cadence and gazed at the enchanting scene from a distance.

Meanwhile, inside the pass, soldiers started to gather around the fire, cheerfully chatting, eating, and drinking. This was the one time when they would be able to sit back and relax, forgetting, for amoment, about the troops of the Timber Deity Empire that were stationed beyond the walls.

"Hey guys, who's up to party with me?" Rocky walked over to a small group of men and flashed abottle of wine around.

The soldiers immediately responded to this cue, cheering him along.

"Should we get Isis and Marin to dance for us?" Rocky asked the rowdy crowd.

"Yessss!" was the unanimous reply. The tone of the evening had now been set and the soldiersturned to ogle at the gorgeous creatures on the wall. One had soft and gentle features, fresh like astream of mountain water, whilst the other was enticing and dazzling, with the elegance of a rose. The men were completely under their spell.

"Girls, come join us!" Rocky signaled them over.

"Come! Come!" Soon all the soldiers started chanting together with Rocky. They couldn't believethat this was actually going to happen! They were only used to interacting with the girls in theirposition as Commanders, hence always strict, austere and harsh. This was one of those once-in-a-lifetime type of moments and none of them wanted to miss it.

"Ew, what a douchebag. I could kill this guy right now!" Marin said through clenched teeth as sheglared back in anger at Rocky and the excited troops.

"Same here, but we can't lose track of what is in our best interest. We still have a chance to survive,so I say we just play along for now.” Isis knew Marin was right but she couldn't help feeling bitterabout it all. It was the first time she was going to have to dance under such circumstances, and tomake matters worse, she was going to have to perform for her soldiers. The whole thing wasunbearably embarrassing.

But she was one determined and fearless woman, once her mind was made up about something, there was no going back.

"To be honest, in my case it won't make much of a difference, but it's your reputation I more worriedabout. You are the Deputy Commander in Chief after all, what if word got around that you dancedfor these pigs?" Marin couldn't hide her concerns about the whole ordeal.

"If it means that we manage to keep the Wild Heaven Pass safe then I don't care either. Come on sis, let's go put on a show." Isis smiled at Marin, her pep talk worked and she nodded in agreement. The night was clear and calm, a warm breeze caressed their bare arms and the moonlight shonebrightly on their luscious hair.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, the music started. At first, a single sharp note as if to attract everyone'sattention, shortly followed by a string of bright and rapid notes. The melody was as mesmerizing asthe blazing rays of the moonlight sparkling off the bewitching fingers strumming the instrument.Isis extended her arms and as she swayed her body to the sound of the music, she slowly climbedon top of the wall, carrying out an angelical and graceful dance.

The girls performed in perfect harmony.

The soldiers were no longer shouting like brutes and gapingly admired the sylphlike figures. Theyapplauded in admiration as they too rocked their bodies to the music. The atmosphere was magicaland enchanting.

For a short moment, even Rocky let himself be enchanted by the two mermaids, but not for long.Taking advantage of the fact that no one was paying him any attention, he took a few steps backand quietly left the group. He walked over to where Rubygon and Uriah were resting and took themwith him as he discreetly left the pass.

As luck would have it, the wind carried the music over the wall and straight to the ears of theenemy's sentries. Without wasting any time, the guards scurried back to the camp to share theinformation.

"Come again? Are you telling me that there is a woman dancing on the walls of the Wild HeavenPass? Is that what you just said?" The three Commanders couldn't believe what they had just heard;dumbstruck by this news.

"And you are sure that you saw a woman dancing?" one of the Commanders asked dubiously."Come to the front and you can see for yourselves!" responded by one of the sentries.

The three Commanders kept looking at each other, back and forth, speechless and astounded. Theystepped out of the tent and together with two thousand soldiers, mounted their horses to ride the 1kilometer that separated them from the Wild Heaven Pass.

Halfway, they stopped. From that distance, they could already hear the alluring melody. As theyfocused their gaze into the distance, they noticed her immediately, a dancing figure fascinatinglyprancing on the wall.

"It looks like reinforcements have arrived and they even brought women to perform for them. Whodoes that? Neanderthals!" exclaimed one of the Commanders, as he spat the words out of hismouth.

"They must have 20'000 men at least. Otherwise they wouldn't be celebrating so confidently andcarefree. They don't even seem to care about our presence anymore!" cried out anothercommander. He couldn't tell if his fury was due to the fact that he was jealous that the soldiersinside the Wild Heaven Pass were having such a good time, or whether he was offended by theindifference of the Crimson Dragon Army.

"Hold on! This could also be a trap. Maybe they are trying to make us believe that they have letdown their guard, luring us into attacking them. Don't forget that they have already used this tacticin the past. Fool us once and shame on us!"

"You're right. This is a tough situation. I can't believe that we aren't able to take down the WildHeaven Pass. It's preposterous!”

As the two other Commanders discussed the situation avidly, the third Commander frowned anddid not speak. He couldn't help but think that something was off, he had a gut feeling that hecouldn't describe nor explain just yet.

"Commander Zhou, we have to retreat our troops. We can't hold on for much longer. The enemy isalready dancing and celebrating, while we are outside suffering.”

"Can't we just retreat already? I can't even remember what it feels like to touch a woman! What Iwouldn't give to be surrounded by a bunch of women right now!"

The two chatty Commanders felt defeated as they spied on the celebratory Crimson Dragon Armyfrom afar.

"Or, we come back again tomorrow to see what they are doing. I am not fully convinced," suggestedCommander Zhou hesitantly and cautiously.

"Why? Do you honestly believe that we can defeat an army double our size? Do you want to get usall killed?"

"But..." How could he make them see that he knew how Rocky tended to operate? The rascal hadalready fooled the army of the Timber Deity Empire in the past by faking a plague outburst. Theyhad had to lower their defense in order to deal with the new alleged adversity and that was whenRocky had infiltrated their ranks and solely killed Commander Zuo. This scene could very well beanother one of his infamous tricks.

"Oh don't you 'buts’ us now. You can fight this alone if you want. You go ahead and lead the troops. We are heading back to the city!" It was obvious that the two Commanders were afraid of dying. They had worked too hard all their lives to be at the top of the ladder and now they just wanted toenjoy some of the perks that came with the job! They didn't seem to think that there was any pointin fighting the enemy anymore. They had never had to face Rocky on the battlefield. They had noidea how he fought and to make matters worse, the enemy had called in reinforcement. Not onlywere the chances of winning extremely grim but too many of their men would perish in combat too.At the end of the day, they just wanted to go back home, safe and sound.

"Fine. You can leave me in full command of the troops if you want and after I replace out what theCrimson Dragon Army is up to, I will make up my mind then.” Commander Zhou was not going togive up just yet, he still had a few hours ahead before he had to take any decision.

The two spineless Commanders had not expected him to react like this and were taken aback by hisresponse. The truth was that they could not abandon the troops either...they didn't even want tothink about the consequences they would have to face. The price to pay for their cowardice was toohigh...
