Rebirth of the Prime Dragon Master -
Chapter 437 Blood Dyed The Ground Red
"When will I own such a magnificent beast? Just forget about it. Let's go now." Rocky maintained asteady gaze in the direction where Sabina took off riding her exemplary beast. He then pattedRubygon on its head signaling it to leave too.
Rubygon let out a thunderous roar, stretched its legs and began to speed hoping to catch up withSabina and her beast.
Meanwhile, on the Hippo Land's west side, the two armies were neck and neck in a fierce battle. The Crimson Dragon Army led by Marin was in high spirits and determined as they charged aheadto the Timber Deity Empire's military camp. But the Timber Deity Empire had managed to gather alarge and strong troop and with that, they stopped the Crimson Dragon Army hundreds of metersbefore the military camp of the Timber Deity Empire.
Suddenly, the dull sky had been awakened with a series of fires lit around the battleground. Boththe armies clashed and began fighting on the slope in front of the Timber Deity Empire's militarycamp. The soldiers met their enemies head-on with aggression, and as the casualties began to riseon each side, loud sounds of chaos and violence filled the air.
While some soldiers struggled to get up after being knocked down, some fell on this foreign landonce and for all, never to wake up again. Battles were cruel and cold but the blood scattered acrossthe field remained warm. Every man was fighting with all his strength, not just to save their lives but,to defend the honor of their land and shedding blood for this noble cause was a way of provingtheir loyalty. Many would sacrifice their lives as a testament to their loyalty and dedicated service. But in the end, all that remained was an incessant war.
"Charge ahead, warriors! Kill all the soldiers of the Crimson Dragon Army. I have tolerated them forfar too many days patiently. And today I finally have the chance to confront and greet them withaggression. Stop their middle route army in their tracks. And seal their west route.” After delegatingthe army, Commander Wei led several spirit manipulators at the Earthly Stage to the war. He swiftlydashed through the battlefield killing soldiers of the Crimson Dragon Army who came in his way.Commander Wei looked deceptively ordinary but he was at the second grade of the HeavenlyStage. And the military ranks of the Timber Deity Empire were different from those of the HolyDragon Empire. They also had Frontline Commanders and Elite Commanders in their ranks. But thestandard for promotion of the Timber Deity Empire commanders was stricter than that of the HolyDragon Empire. Only the spirit manipulator at or above the Heavenly Stage could be qualified as acommander, and that was the standard. And the number of soldiers a commander could lead, depended solely on his experience. The commander of the Timber Deity Empire, includingCommander Wei, could lead about seven to eight thousand soldiers, which was much stronger thanthat of Frontline Commanders in the Holy Dragon Empire.
So, Commander Wei was evidently somebody quite significant. After all, the one chosen to be acommander would under no circumstance be ordinary.
Alongside several spirit manipulators at the Earthly Stage, Commander Wei with ease foughtthrough rows of soldiers to where Marin stood chivalrously commanding the Crimson Dragon Armyamid the turmoil
"Damn it! I didn't expect to confront the Crimson Dragon Army's commander who is so supremelybeautiful.” The Commander was taken aback by how overwhelmingly beautiful Marin was. As hegawked at her with his eyes wide open, his jaws dropped too upon seeing this pleasant surprise.Even though Marin had been leading the army all this while, even during the feint, Commander Weididn't see her before as he hadn't shown up earlier. And now he was beyond shocked to replace thatthe Crimson Dragon Army was led by a Commander who looked so pretty.
A frown set in on Marin’s face as she spotted Commander Wei of the Timber Deity Empire, who wasat the second grade of the Heavenly Stage. But she wasn't scared at all. In fact, she too was nearly atthe second grade of the Heavenly Stage and had the added advantage of being a royal spiritmanipulator. With that rationale, she was confident of confronting Commander Wei.
"Move aside all of you, right this instant. I will tackle her on my own,” Commander Wei ordered.Within a second the spirit manipulators at the Earthly Stage beside Commander Wei dispersed tofight others on the battlefield, leaving Marin and Commander Wei alone.
"Hello gorgeous, I'm coming for you!" He passed a wide flirtatious smile as the Commanderunleashed his spiritual power at the second grade of the Heavenly Stage which ignited his body. And the next moment, he showed up right across Marin, a spate of spiritual power brewing in hispalm.
"Capture Claw!" Commander Wei transformed his palm into a claw following which a giant clawshadow appeared above his claw before he rushed towards Marin.
Marin grew increasingly irritated by how smug and vain Commander Wei was, and her body wasimmediately engulfed by bright blue spiritual light.
"Silk-smooth Water Skill!" Marin condensed her spiritual power into a silk of water that securelycovered her arms.
In an elegant manner, Marin waved her arms and instantly smooth silk of water shot out, clashingwith and defending her from the big claw shadow.
Bang!
The two streaks of spiritual power collided mid-air and immediately created a strong sound waveand radiating energy that swept across the ground and got everyone to stop their attack stances fora brief moment.
It seemed that both of them nullified each other's attack in the first round.
"You are a royal spirit manipulator!” Commander Wei was taken aback by that round of attacks andstarted to take her seriously as a contender. He was a common spirit manipulator. Even though hisstrength was a little higher than Marin’s, a royal spirit manipulator whose strength was nearly at thesecond grade of the Heavenly Stage was actually equal to an average spirit manipulator at thesecond grade of the Heavenly Stage. Therefore, their strength was in fact at the same level.
But despite the last attack, Commander Wei still remained extremely confident of defeating Marin.Suddenly, he drew a serious expression and took a step back to concentrate and gather his spiritualpower to open the Magic Spiritual Space, and released a four-star grade third Huge Pointed-mouthed Rat.
The lower body of the Huge Pointed-mouthed Rat was swollen like a balloon, looking veryunnaturally bloated, while its upper body was disproportionately slim and slender. The rodent hadthree heads and four hands. While his pointed mouth boasted several sharp teeth as foul slimysaliva was dripping out of its mouth. The creature looked as sleazy as its master.
"Verdanim, come out and play now!" Witnessing Commander Wei summon his unnatural lookingspirit-manipulated beast, Marin immediately let out Verdanim from her Magic Spiritual Space.Verdanim, whose body was larger than common spirit-manipulated beasts, flew through the crackof the Magic Spiritual Space and imposed its presence as a high-class spiritual race. The spirit-manipulated beasts of the Timber Deity Empire soldiers cried fearfully at the sight of Verdanim.Even Commander Wei's Huge Pointed-mouthed Rat looked a little scared on seeing Verdanimmajestically fly down from the sky.
On any given day, four-star third-grade Verdanim was far more powerful than the Huge Pointed-mouthed Rat. After all, dragons were one of the most powerful high-class races among the spirit-manipulated beasts in the Wild Spirit Land.
The sight of the great war dragon wiped the smug expression from Commander Wei's face instantly. He didn't expect that Marin would own such an excellent war dragon, at such a young age, whichmade him burn up with rage and jealousy. And the advent of Verdanim made him realize that thechance to win was narrow.
But Commander Wei coveted Marin and desired her, he was no longer willing to return without her. With such intentions driving him, Commander Wei ordered his Huge Pointed-mouthed Rat toconfront Verdanim as he launched an attack on Marin. Marin showed no trace of fear and bravelyfaced Commander Wei. Both of them exhausted every skill they mastered with neither of themshowing any signs of concession.
The war went on for an hour, many people died, and their blood painted the ground crimson red.But the Crimson Dragon Army was at an advantage for being in a high spirit after making asuccessful raid.
