As expected, the gigantic and tall beast defending its master was Rubygon.

"Go away, you beast!" Commander Wei yelled furiously as he tried to strike Rubygon.

"Rubygon, come here!" Rocky called, in a low voice.

Without any hesitation, Rubygon leapt like a tiger towards Rocky's side, as commanded.

"Stay on Rubygon's back for a while,” Rocky whispered to Marin, who was in his arms. Straight awayMarin hopped on Rubygon's wide back.

As she left Rocky's arms, a sudden feeling of loss came over her and she felt cold. Disappointedly,she looked at Rocky and pursed her pink lips to a straight line.

By then, Rocky had shifted his cold and sharp look to Commander Wei.

"Son of a bitch! Who are you? How dare you ruin my good fortune?" Commander Wei exclaimedangrily when he glared at Rocky and looked at Marin, who was already on Rubygon's back. He wasalmost successful in capturing Marin. If he had succeeded, the troops of the Crimson Dragon Armywould have lost their leader and the beautiful Marin would have been in his custody. However, tohis great surprise, a young man who seemed to appear from nowhere shattered all of his dreams."Don't get fresh with me! I'm an Elite Commander appointed in person by Lance Liu, theCommander in Chief of the Crimson Dragon Group!" Rocky said in a terrifyingly domineering voice.But he looked calm and steady at the moment.

"How could a bastard like you be an Elite Commander in the Crimson Dragon Group? If so, theCrimson Dragon Group is indeed rubbish as I imagined! Otherwise, they would not have elected youas their Elite Commander. Such an appointment would make everyone laugh their heads off!"Commander Wei said, looking at Rocky disdainfully. It was hard for him to believe that Rocky, ayoung-looking and a low-level spirit manipulator was an Elite Commander, directly appointed bythe Commander in Chief of the Crimson Dragon Group.

"I've said the truth. Believe it or not. It's all up to you. But you old pervert, by the way, where doesWoods, your adviser, come from?" Rocky asked with a grim laugh. He was more curious about thebackground of Woods than about Commander Wei, who was in front of him. Besides, he hadn'tseen Woods in the battle between the two armies.

"Woods? Don't mention him. I should have killed all the troops of your Crimson Dragon Army if itwere not for him. He can't do anything right!” Commander Wei shouted angrily, twisting his face. Heput the blame on Woods for the disastrous failure they were suffering. If he hadn't listened toWoods, who had advised him not to take any action, he would have dispatched troops to annihilatethe Crimson Dragon Army long before the latter launched this surprise attack.

"Really? If it were not for him, could a fool like you successfully resist the attack of the CrimsonDragon Army for the past three times?" Rocky said it on purpose to humiliate and irritateCommander Wei.

This touched Commander Wei's sore spot as his face became more ferocious after hearing this. Heresponded by shouting angrily and inducing his spiritual power to the second grade of theHeavenly Stage and he then pounced upon Rocky menacingly.

By instinct, Rocky turned back his head and looked at Marin who, in turn, was staring back at himfrom Rubygon's back.

"Do not fight against him recklessly. You can't beat him!" Marin reminded him as soon as she sawRocky turning his head back.

Her words amused Rocky so much that he burst into laughter. The reason why Marin said thesewords was because she had no idea about Rocky's real strength. Rocky even wondered how Marinwould react when she saw his strength with her own eyes.

Rocky's real strength was still a secret. Now that the Crimson Dragon Army was only one step awayfrom a critical victory, without wasting more time, he decided to push forward. Although his nextmoves would expose him as a senior spirit manipulator at the Heavenly Stage, he decided it wasunnecessary to keep it a secret any longer.

With these thoughts, Rocky began to give out his spiritual power. Suddenly, spiritual light thatcombined black and red beams of light appeared around him, offering a weird sight, especially atnight.

Marin was startled to see the strange spiritual power emitting from Rocky's body. This was becausethe version of spiritual power unfolding in front of her very own eyes was markedly different.Besides, she had never seen any spiritual power in black and red. This color pattern was quitedifferent from the spirit power of any ordinary spirit manipulator or any royal spirit manipulator.

But what surprised Marin the most was that she could clearly sense Rocky's spiritual power rising upextremely fast towards the Heavenly Stage.

"Rocky Bai, you..." Marin mumbled with utter disbelief in her eyes. In the next moment, Rocky'sspiritual power broke through the Heavenly Stage and a gust of strong spiritual power thatcombined black and red beams of light was ejected from his body.

Meanwhile, Commander Wei had closed in towards Rocky. Seeing Rocky's spiritual power rising tothe Heavenly Stage, he was dumbstruck. It was something beyond logic and quite unreasonable forhim. He could not understand how Rocky's strength had risen up sharply out of the blue.

However, a strong intention to kill Rocky grew over him. He realized that Rocky was a great threat tohim and the Timber Deity Empire. He analyzed that if Rocky really was the Commander leading theCrimson Dragon Army, then maybe he could win a merit by utilizing this opportunity to kill Rocky.With these thoughts in his mind, Commander Wei didn't stop in his tracks. Instead, he tried to givefull play to his spiritual power at the second grade of the Heavenly Stage. He opened his armswidely and roared, "Soaring Fury!" All of a sudden, his entire body turned into a big figure. The sizekept on increasing and it enveloped Rocky like a high mountain.

Soaring Fury was Commander Wei's best skill of spiritual martial arts. Whenever he used this skill,his opponent would be beaten to death, unless the person was more powerful and skilled enoughto fight against him.

"Stay away, Rocky!" Marin yelled. Her face was deathly pale in agony. Although Rocky possessedstrength at the Heavenly Stage, it seemed Commander Wei was unstoppable, as he was at thesecond grade of the Heavenly Stage. The difference between the first and the second grade of theHeavenly Stage would result in the crucial difference between life and death. Marin was not sure ifRocky held any better skill to resist Commander Wei's spiritual martial arts.

Meanwhile, the surrounding people involved in the fierce battle, regardless of the parties theybelonged to, stopped fighting on seeing Commander Wei's horrifying skill. All their eyes were gluedon Rocky. Everyone, including Marin, thought Rocky would try to escape from Commander Wei'sattack as he was not able to fight back.

However, to everybody's surprise, Rocky didn't lose his composure even after watching CommanderWei approaching. All of a sudden, he moved forward and charged at Commander Wei.
