Chapter 450 The Legend Of The Evil God

The golden dragon growled fiercely as it coiled itself around Rocky without warning. Locked in itspainful embrace, Rocky struggled desperately to break free. The more he resisted, the tighter thedragon's grip became. As the light emanated by the dragon glowed, the black air surrounding himbegan to disperse. The evil presence was waning.

Everyone present was shocked.

When Sabina noticed the evil presence all around Rocky was being crushed by the golden dragon,she hopped off of Duchess Silver's back and rushed towards Rocky in huge strides. Gathering all ofher spiritual power in her palm, she smacked the golden dragon with all her might.

Suddenly, the golden dragon glistened with light which then penetrated Rocky's body. This causedthe evil forces to retreat within the remaining eight layers of seal.

As the evil power that consumed Rocky began to recede, he found himself on the verge of fainting.Quickly noticing this, Sabina lunged forward and broke his fall with an embrace.

Sabina found herself irritated and her cheeks flush in embarrassment as Rocky leaned against her.She knew that pushing him away was impossible, so she had to curb her temper for the time being.All the men found themselves jealous of the lucky Rocky.

"What do we do now, sir?" Liam turned his gaze to Woods.

Woods remained silent as he fixed his eyes on Rocky and Sabina.

A soldier arrived and announced, "The outer layer of the Magic Lotus Array has been breached! Ahuge army of Crimson Dragon Army soldiers is charging through at this moment!"

After a minute of careful thinking, Woods commanded, "Give them my order to retreat the entirearmy east out of Hippo Land." Rocky had broken the Magic Lotus Array. If they fought, the deathtoll would surely rise.

Under Woods' command, the Timber Deity Empire soldiers retreated swiftly to the east.

Meanwhile, Marin and Dunn rushed and led the Thunder Bird Legion and the White Tiger Legion tounite with the Iron Dino Legion.

Seeing Rocky unconscious in Sabina's arms, Marin rushed and asked with eyes wide in shock, "Whathappened, Commander Ji?"

"He's fine. His spiritual power just ran out.” Not wanting to explain further, Sabina quickly handedover Rocky to Marin.

Before Marin could respond, the unconscious Rocky was already leaning against her. She felt hercheeks start to flush but still managed to wrap her arms around Rocky's waist to keep him fromtumbling down.

"I can take care of him, Commander Marin.” Dunn told Marin hastily.

"Don't bother. I'll take him back to our camp. You lead the army to conquer the camp and makesure that all Timber Deity Empire's garrison has left.” Marin summoned Verdanim and helped Rockymount the creature that would take them back to the camp on the hill.

As she watched Marin accompany Rocky back and the Dragon Twined Wood in her hand, Sabinanow understood what her master meant with Rocky needing her protection.

It still baffled her—the horrible, evil power that lurked within Rocky. He wasn't ordinary, which wasfor sure. There was something about him that he desperately tried to hide.

Rocky slept for a day and a night. Arising from his deep slumber, Rocky found himself lying in a bedin a camp—with Marin asleep beside him. With her fluttering eyelashes and her pouty lips, she waseven more beautiful asleep than she was awake.

'Why are we sleeping in the same place? Was she taking care of me?’ Rocky wondered as he gazedat Marin and felt his heart full of warmth.

He tried to get out of bed without waking her but failed.

"You're awake!" Marin exclaimed with glee upon seeing him. She'd been worried about him thewhole day and night—worrying he would never wake up.

"How did I get here?" Rocky asked trying to remember what he could of yesterday.

"Commander Ji saved you. I brought you here.” Marin answered him.

"Sabina?" Rocky narrowed his eyes as Sabina's image flashed across his memory.

"Where is she?" he questioned, seeming to have remembered something.

"She's at the camp at the Hippo Land. The Timber Deity Empire army has retreated,” Marin replied."I see." Rocky appeared to have lost his memory of how he defeated the Timber Deity Empire armyon his own yesterday.

"Are you alright? You don't remember anything from yesterday at all?" Marin placed a hand gentlyon his forehead to check for signs of a fever.

"No." Rocky grinned, enjoying the attention he was getting.

"Why?" Marin started to feel weird

"Forget it. I'm just happy we finally managed to take back the Hippo Land," Rocky replied as hesmiled and held Marin’'s hand in his.

Removing her hand from his swiftly, Marin looked as though she touched something horrible.Turning away she muttered, "You should rest. I'll get you something to eat.” Then she left.

As soon as she disappeared, Rocky's eyes were glazed over with darkness. Of course, heremembered what had happened. Especially when the evil power got the best of him—and thatwasn't the first time. "What did Sabina do that removed the evil from within me?" To answer that, hehad to ask her when they were reunited.

As soon as he thought of that, Rocky left the camp with great haste. He was nowhere to be foundwhen Marin returned with a bow! of gruel.

"Where did he go? This gruel took a while to simmer.” She muttered to herself disappointingly. Hereyebrows were knitted together in frustration.

Meanwhile, people hurried in and out of the camping ground to clear the ground and repair thedefenses. When Rocky appeared, they all stopped and paid him their respects with looks ofgratitude etched on their faces.

The heroic story of Rocky facing the entire Timber Deity Empire army circulated within the army andimpressed everyone.

And from then on, all those who had witnessed Rocky that day as he was possessed by the evil spiritand wielded his fearsome sword nicknamed him the Evil God.
