Rebirth of the Prime Dragon Master -
Chapter 451 Too Bad To Be Saved
Rocky felt indifferent as the strange glances came from the people around him. While he withdrewhis eyes, he found where Sabina was.
Sabina was standing next to Uriah and Rubygon, and there was gauze wrapped on Rubygon's body.He thought that someone took good care of his spirit-manipulated beast.
Rocky walked straight towards them. Both Uriah and Rubygon cheered up when they noticed thattheir master came closer, the excitement was evident on their faces.
Sabina turned around to where Rubygon and Uriah were looking, and she found out that it wasRocky. Her eyes stared at him coldly. "So, looks like you're all right, aren't you?" she asked in a coldtone.
"Yes. I guess I'm okay and feeling fine because of your kind bless!" Rocky replied in a funny tone, regardless of how cold Sabina responded to him. "By the way, what happened yesterday on thebattlefield?" he added.
"You don't remember anything?" Sabina queried with a confused look on her face. She quite notunderstood why he asked such a question right now.
"Not so much, I could only recall a few," Rocky said. He could only remember a fragmented part ofthe whole event yesterday. But he barely knew nothing about that part where Sabina saved his lifeat the end.
"Oh, that," Sabina responded in a flat tone. Her cold face showed that she cared nothing aboutwhether Rocky was alive or not.
"I guess I was out of control again, wasn't I?" He stated as his eyes became sharp. Deep in his heart,he already had an answer to his question. This was not the first time that he encountered somethinglike this. Due to that, he familiarized the feelings during the first time, it was like being engulfed in aflash by endless darkness.
"Again? What did you mean? Have you ever been like this before?" Sabina asked. She was puzzledand surprised by his statement.
"I had another time when I encountered the same situation just like what happened yesterday.”Rocky nodded his acknowledgment in a calm tone. He recalled the day when Marcia forcibly sealedthe power of the Holy Dragon Bead inside his body. After that, he became an ordinary spiritmanipulator from a royal spirit manipulator, with a much lower level of power. He kept a grudge onMarcia ever since she took away Rocky's identity as a royal spirit manipulator by sealing his innerpower. However, after experiencing the mutation of his body once again, he understood now whyshe had to put the nine-layer seal upon him. Because if she hadn't done so, he would be devouredby the evil forces inside him quickly once he lost control of his body.
Sabina understood right away why her master Marcia asked her to come with the Dragon TwinedWood and protect Rocky back then because Marcia predicted that the evil power inside Rocky'sbody would blast off again.
However, Sabina could not understand why her master would care so much for Rocky. She hadnever seen her master offer so much help to any other man before. What was more, the FrozenWind Dagger was now in Rocky's hand, which meant a lot to Marcia. Sabina heard from Marciabefore that the Frozen Wind Dagger had been given to someone else, she had no idea that it wasRocky who now owned it. That was why she was curious about the relationship between her masterand Rocky Bai.
She could not figure it out but what she knew, for now, was the secrets Rocky carried on his backwere way heavier than what she could imagine.
"How did you make it?" Rocky asked, and he fixed his eyes on her. He didn't ask directly but Sabinaunderstood what it meant.
"Well, I have my way to do that. That's none of your business, just mind your own," Sabina repliedwith an expressionless look on her face. She did not want to let Rocky know that her master wasMarcia. So, she wanted to cut the conversation quickly because it might be too risky if she let himknow her real identity. It would bring her a lot of trouble while completing the tasks that her masterhad assigned to her, she then threw a cold glance at him and was about to leave right away. On topof that, she couldn't bear to see Rocky standing in front of her. Because the longer she watched him,the more details she would recall about yesterday. Sabina couldn't help thinking about how he fellon her chest, which made her ashamed so much. She had to suppress her anger to prevent herselffrom beating him due to violation.
Rocky knew it was not easy for Sabina to reveal to him, and he realized that he would know nothingif Sabina was not willing to tell him more. So, instead of asking, he put on a slight smile on his face."Anyway, thank you for giving me a helping hand yesterday!" he added. Rocky said it in his mostsincere tone and looked in her eyes. He was indeed thankful for Sabina. If she didn't show up andhelp him, the consequence and outcome would look disastrous.
Regardless of how sincere he looked, Sabina, on the other hand, remained her cold face. "Well,Marin is a nice girl. You have to be good to her!" she suddenly blurted out.
She turned and left before Rocky could understand what she meant.
"What? Do you guys understand what she talked about?" Rocky turned and looked at Uriah andRubygon confused. He had no idea why Sabina said something like that.
Meanwhile, the news about Rocky led the army to successfully regain the field of Hippo Land hadbeen sent to the frontline of the Crimson Dragon Army by Carrier Beast as soon as it could. Lanceimmediately called all the Elite Commanders and Frontline Commanders in the military camp for ameeting after he heard the news.
"I can't believe Rocky captured a strategic position so soon!”
"I agree with you. We tried three times there before and could not make it to hold the field of HippoLand in the end, but he did it."
"It's very important for us to recapture the Hippo Land this time. As we all know, it is the hub ofseveral strategic sites. What's more, the recapture of Hippo Land is helpful for Crimson DragonArmy to enhance troop morale!"
At the commander's tent, almost everyone inside stated their points of view on this great victory. Inaddition to the excitement, there were also surprise evident on their faces.
They were astounded for a reason. The Crimson Dragon Army fought continuously to recaptureHippo Land three times, but with no lucks in the end. However, it was the first time that Rocky triedto do so, it only took him several days to complete this tough task and he made it easily. No wonderwhy everyone was shocked about the news. Crimson Dragon Army had been in a weak position forso long. The recapture of Hippo Land meant a lot because it made it possible for the army to havedifferent strategic sites nearby cooperate during battle.
Even Lance admired his wise decision of letting Rocky lead the army. It was a very wise choice andhe was glad he had done that.
"Father, now that we have recaptured Hippo Land, what is the next step?" Isis asked with a joyfulface. Although she had some different opinions when her father wanted Rocky to lead the armyback then, she couldn't deny that he was indeed a skillful person. Nevertheless, she did not expectthat Rocky would complete the task in such a short time, and she was surprised that he couldrecapture the field of Hippo Land.
"Of course, we should take the initiative to strike! This time, an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth!"Lance stated in a firm tone as he clenched one of his fists in readiness. He unconsciously raised hisvoice as he felt excited for a minute.
But a piece of sad news was on its way. Just as the old saying said, when things went too far, theywould go the other way.
Before Lance and other commanders could discuss the further plan for the battle, the bad newsarrived carried by the Carrier Beast.
"What are you saying?! We just lost the field of the Nine Grottoes? How was that possible?! Themain forces of the Timber Deity Empire shouldn't have arrived at that place!" Lance spoke out ofgreat shock. He found the bad news hard to digest.
What Lance heard before was, the main forces of the Timber Deity Empire would move to the southafter they held the field of the Dead Silence Mount, and they would head for another strategic siteof the Crimson Dragon Army, the Nine Snakes Gorge. He had made adequate preparations at theNine Snakes Gorge before the main forces of the Timber Deity Empire arrived to make sure thatthey had no way to escape the clutches. He planned to lead the army in person as soon as the mainforces of the Timber Deity Empire arrived at Nine Snakes Gorge because he thought that it wouldencourage the soldiers.
Lance didn't expect the main forces of the Timber Deity Empire would change their plan and foughtfor the Nine Grottoes instead. He had no idea that the Timber Deity Empire would pretend to takeanother path while sneaking down the other.
Worse, the Nine Grottoes was the last defense for the frontline of the Crimson Dragon Army. Itwould be possible for the Timber Deity Empire to attack the frontline if they got ahold of the field. Also, most of the forces of the Crimson Dragon Army were separated in different strategic sites, withonly several thousands of soldiers left in the frontline at this moment. In other words, if the mainforces of their opponent concentrated all their power and attacked the frontline, none on thefrontline of the Crimson Dragon Army would be able to survive.
