"So, the Commander in Chief wants me to intercept the main army of the Timber Deity Empire atthe Nine Grottoes, and this would buy some time for the main base to assemble the army." Rockyperceived Lance's intention immediately.

Isis nodded casually in agreement. Though it didn't show up on her face, she was quite surprised tosee Rocky's ability to decipher her father's mind in a flash.

Just then, Marin, Sabina and Dunn arrived at the scene and Isis filled them in on what washappening at the frontline.

"So what are we waiting for now? I shall have the army assembled immediately.” Marin turned andleft the tent.

Dunn followed behind her.

Now, there were only Rocky, Isis and Sabina left at the tent. All of a sudden, a weird silence fellbetween them. They looked at each other, lost in their own thoughts.

Eventually Rocky broke the silence and asked Isis, "How long will it take to get to the Nine Grottoesif we set off now?"

"At least a day and a half. I'm afraid that the main army of the Timber Deity Empire might already beon their way to the frontline," Isis said in a worried tone.

"That's very unlikely. We have already burnt down their six supply ships in this battle and my guessis that those supplies on the ships were prepared for their main army. Without those supplies theycould hardly make any move in a short time." Rocky shook his head.

"So, it's part of your plan and you have already seen this coming?" Sabina was quite surprised. Shehad been wondering why Rocky had taken all the trouble to burn down the six ships, and now, shehad her answer.

"By gaining control of the Hippo Land, they want to make sure that as their main army advance intothe heartland, they would receive their food and supplies as soon as possible. It doesn't take agenius to know that the six supply ships are for their main army." Rocky had thought about it inadvance. In order to stop the advancement of the Timber Deity Empire, it was most important to cutoff their supplies. This was the reason why he chose the Hippo Land as his primary target. It provedto be a wise decision. Otherwise, their main base in the frontline would have been in danger.

"So, their food and supplies must be running low now," Isis said with relief. Finally there was somegood news.

"Right. Now, they will stop at the Nine Grottoes to wait for food and supplies. And the Dead SilenceMount is right beside the Nine Grottoes. If we have the Dead Silence Mount under control, we cancut off their supply route and starve our enemy." Rocky grinned with mischief.

"Are you suggesting that we should attack the Dead Silence Mount instead of the Nine Grottoes?"Isis asked incredulously. It was a bold plan and if Rocky was wrong, the main base in the frontlinewould be in dire straits.

"That's right. It's called, “relieving the besieged by attacking the supply of the besiegers.’ Their mainarmy would do whatever it takes to hold the Dead Silence Mount, if they ever want their food andsupplies delivered. In that case, we would easily get all the time we want.” Rocky nodded withcertainty.

"What if the Timber Deity Empire decides to attack our main base anyway?" Sabina asked indisagreement.

"If I were the commander of the Timber Deity Empire army, I would make sure I have a fallback planIf they are willing to get our main base even at the cost of their food and supplies, then let themhave it. After taking hold of the Dead Silence Mount, we can still get back to acquire the NineGrottoes. By then their army would be the fish in a barrel. If so, then the situation would weigh inour favor," Rocky explained seriously.

"But, still there is a risk.” Isis narrowed her eyes.

"Go out on a limb, because that is where the fruit is. If we just go attack the Nine Grottoes, we arejust asking for trouble. It would certainly buy us some time, but is definitely not our best choice. Itwill cost us greatly,” Rocky said grimly.

"He has a point. Better fight wisely than go head-to-head with our enemy." Sabina nodded inagreement.

Isis thought for a while and said, "I'll send word to the main base. I want to hear my father's viewson what you propose.”

It would be easy pickings for us and wecould solve the main base's problem without losing a man. It is simple and it doesn't have to be meto command the army. Besides, I have something else to deal with. So, I will be away for a while,"Rocky said, narrowing his eyes.

"Away? Where are you planning to go?" Isis asked swiftly, quite surprised by this news that Rockywas about to leave at a critical moment like this.

"I will take a Carrier Beast with me, so that you can get in touch with me whenever you are in need,”Rocky said, ignoring Isis’ query. He had no intention to tell her where he would go.

"No, you can't just leave.” Of course, Isis never wanted Rocky to leave. If he could stay, then shewould have at least someone to turn to if something went wrong.

"Why not? Are you going to tie me up?" Rocky stared at her, folding his arms across the chest.

"If necessary, I will do whatever it takes to make you stay," Isis said determinedly with darkenedeyes.

"You really want me here?" Rocky queried resignedly.

"We need you now." Though Isis was unwilling to admit, the truth was that Rocky had brought asense of reassurance to the Crimson Dragon Army. They believed that as long as they had Rockywith them they were invincible.

"I will certainly rethink about it. But now if you will excuse me..." Rocky replied as he exited theCommander's tent.

"Isis, do you really think he will come back?" Sabina squinted at Rocky's retreating back and turnedto ask Isis.

That was when Isis realized what had just happened. She dashed out of the tent but Rocky wasnowhere to be seen.

"Damn you, Rocky! Don't let me see you again!” Isis shouted exasperatedly. She had never expectedRocky to leave this way.

Hearing her shout, all the soldiers in the camp were startled, as they had never seen Isis so angry.Rocky, who had run away from Isis’ grasp, was riding on Rubygon and threading his way throughthe marsh area, knowing that if he had chosen the main road, it would be easy for Isis to intercepthim on her Silver Wind. Just like that, he quickly left the Hippo Land quietly and quickly.

"The Myriad Beasts Ground at the Gehenna Border is the best place for me to break through intothe next level. It is dangerous, but now, it is my best option.” Rocky muttered to himself as hepatted at Rubygon's back. Then they raced towards the Myriad Beasts Ground.
