Chapter 457 Master of Treasure Hunting

As Rocky entered the Myriad Beasts Ground, his purpose for being there started to become evenclearer. He did not embark on this journey simply for his growth or for him to arrive at the secondgrade of the Heavenly Stage. He also wanted to collect rare treasures. He knew that, while raretreasures wouldn't help him ascend evil spiritual power, it would help him increase Fire spiritualpower. He experienced this a while back — his Fire spiritual power was able to reach the fifth gradeof the Earthly Stage after he was able to refine an intermediate and a superior Dark Heaven Egg.However, he still had a long way to go before his Fire spiritual power reached the Heavenly Stage.Therefore, he was committed to promoting the Fire spiritual power to the Heavenly Stage tostrengthen the power of the Evil Flame.

There were countless of rare treasures in the Wild Spirit Land, but all of them could be classified intofour levels: primary level, medium level, premium level, and rare level. Among which, the DarkHeaven Egg could be classified within the primary level. Similarly, the Heaven Divine Lotus Seed andthe Water Essence Pill — both previously obtained by Rocky — were also on the same level.

Rocky wasn't able to retrieve a lot of rare treasures. Only the spiritual power Ice Crystal which heacquired in the cave of the Ghostly Ice Fox-wolf could be considered a rare treasure of significantvalue. It was one of the best among the primary level treasures. Unfortunately, the spiritual powerIce Crystal was only one year or so years old at the time of Rocky's retrieval from the cave. If it wereany older, it would have been much more valuable.

Apart from that, Rocky also had the superior Dark Heaven Egg which was born from the DarkHeaven Insect — a creature with a body designed to create rare treasures. It was also considered asone of the best treasures in the primary level. On the other hand, the spirit-manipulated beasts likeGhostly Ice Fox-wolf and Three-tailed Aquatic Lizard just let rare treasures condense in their body.However, in fact, their inner spiritual power was not strong.

At that moment, the Ice Crystal had the same spiritual power as the superior Dark Heaven EggRocky had recently acquired. Even if the Dark Heaven Insect did not have many stars to its name, itwas made to produce rare treasures thereby making it extremely valuable. Other insects that couldnot produce their own rare treasures all paled in comparison to it.

With that in mind, Rocky waited for the Dark Heaven Insect Queen to lay its eggs. That way, hecould have a whole treasure trove to himself.

But, of course, the Wild Spirit Land also contained other types of rare treasures. There were alsomany treasures much more advanced than the superior Dark Heaven Egg. Compelled by the idea ofrare treasures, Rocky embarked on a journey to the Myriad Beasts Ground in pursuit of treasuresmore superior than the superior Dark Heaven Egg. After all, if Rocky could acquire more advancedrare treasures, it would benefit his cultivation.

But Rocky's plan was merely wishful thinking for most spirit manipulators. It appeared to be a dreamfar beyond one's reach. Most spirit manipulators would have been happy with just a primary DarkHeaven Egg. Most would even feel grateful to simply encounter a treasure as rare as the DarkHeaven Egg.

Obtaining rare treasures such as the Dark Heaven Egg required a lot of fortune. It was not an easytask even for masters who had already exceeded the Supernal Stage. But, of course, all this wasbased on circumstance. For one, Marcia generously gave Rocky some valuable pieces of yellowspiritual crystal when they were both in the Palace City. Marcia did so without any hint of hesitation.Another reason why Rocky seemed ahead of everyone was that he had the aid of the Rainbow GlowUnicorn. With its help, Rocky knew where the treasures were - except for the ones that remaineddifficult to replace. Usually, the better treasures came with greater risks. Rocky was all too familiar withthese risks as he once almost lost his life when he retrieved the spiritual power Ice Crystal.

Rocky led the four beasts through the periphery forest of Myriad Beasts Ground. At that point, theybravely navigated the area as they found themselves familiar with the routes. They no longer fearedthe wild spirit-manipulated beasts which only had two or three stars. In ten minutes, they alreadyfound themselves at the end of the forest.

Along the way, Rocky was able to spot a few rare treasures similar to the primary Dark Heaven Egg.He picked them up and planned to give them to Sue as a gift upon his return. To his dismay, he wasnot able to retrieve treasures similar to the spiritual crystal. It felt like he used up all his luck after heacquired the extremely rare blue spiritual crystal.

At the edge of the forest, one could see the Myriad Beasts Ground. From where Rocky stood, itlooked frightening and dangerous. Wild spirit-manipulated beasts populated its land. Almost all ofthem had three or four stars and they all acted in groups. They looked like they were waiting for aprey they could hunt and kill.

Rocky knew that beyond the edge of the Myriad Beasts Ground, they would encounter morefrightening wild spirit-manipulated beasts perhaps with four-star level or even with five-star level.Rocky knew, for example, that he could encounter the five-star Ghostly Ice Fox-wolf which he metpreviously.

With his current cultivation, Rocky was not sure if he could still make himself go through the edgeof the Myriad Beasts Ground safely, not to mention entering into its deeper parts.

Rocky knew better this time. He threaded the outer forest edge carefully and slowly. He watchedout for any wild spirit-manipulated beasts that might suddenly appear.

A half hour into their journey, Rocky found himself at the mercy of Bloody-eyed Wolves - a beastconsidered to be at the third grade of the three-star level. If they were considered as a spiritmanipulator, Rocky knew that they would have been as strong as one who was at the seventh gradeof the Earthly Stage.

Rocky shivered at the memory of his last encounter with Bloody-eyed Wolves - an encounterwherein he almost lost his life. When he was attempting to rescue the little Ghostly Ice Fox-wolf, hefound himself almost in the mouth of the Bloody-eyed Wolves. Fortunately for him, a strange-looking yet powerful woman came to his rescue. The woman possessed the physical features ofhuman beings, yet something about her obviously made her seem beyond human. 'If she wasn'thuman, what was she?" Rocky wondered curiously.

So when Rocky found himself faced with four Bloody-eyed Wolves yet again, a familiar angerswelled inside him. He was fuelled with rage and so he quickly drew out the Frozen Wind Daggerand infused spiritual powers in it. In an instant, the Frozen Wind Dagger transformed into a FlamingBlade.

Uriah and Rubygon stood fiercely beside Rocky, ready to fight. Rainbow Glow Unicorn grabbed thelittle Ghostly Ice Fox-wolf to the back of the show and awaited for their cue to attack.

"Go!" Rocky signaled. Rocky slashed the Flaming Blade of Frozen Wind Dagger in his hand. Forevery move, a trail of smoke would follow the blade. Uriah and Rubygon lunged forward, eachtaking on one of the four Bloody-eyed Wolves. They attacked with their utmost power.
