Rebirth of the Prime Dragon Master
Chapter 518 The Deadly Incidents

Shortly after noon, Rocky and Sabina trudged through an ominous swamp, until they stumbled ontoa peculiar landform

This area had a strange aura. It was dead silent. The ground was covered in dirt as grey as soot, asthough raging fire had ravaged the land. Nothing was there, save for some boulders sprinkledthroughout. Perched on top of the boulders were grotesque, bird-like spirit-manipulated beasts. The bird-like spirit-manipulated beast was called the Black Vulture. At first glance, it looked like anynormal vulture. However, upon closer inspection, one would notice their slightly bigger build. Rockyand Sabina gauged that its strength couldn't be higher than the three-star level, which wasconsidered as a low level in the Myriad Beasts Ground.

Of course, even so, it was still quite the ferocious beast, especially when in groups. A coordinatedattack from a group of these vultures could tear apart a wild spirit-manipulated beast at the fourthgrade of the four-star level in the blink of an eye.

However, when it came to feeding, these vultures’ diet was limited to meat on dead bodies, especially rotting ones. The more disgustingly rotten bodies, the more satisfied they seemed to be.The vultures didn't usually attack other wild spirit-manipulated beasts. They would only fish introubled water. Thus, they usually preferred to perch at a safe distance, quietly watching the otherbeasts mangle each other. The vultures would patiently wait for a beast to fall dead. Immediately, they would swoop down and surround the corpse, guarding their prey. However, they'd wait a fewdays, enough to let the carcass rot to their satisfaction. Only then would they feast on it.

Thus, the vultures had the most morbid sense of taste compared to all the other beasts in theMyriad Beasts Ground.

Rocky and Sabina pondered on this as they cautiously took some steps forward, vigilantly eyeingthe vultures.

The vultures haughtily returned their gaze. Some grew nervous, screaming suddenly; somenervously flapped their wings, as if they wanted to flee. All the while, their beady eyes followed thetwo figures as they made their way through the solemn, gray land.

Feeling their eyes on her, Sabina felt a chill run up her spine. But she stood her ground, defiantlystaring back at them.

"Don't provoke them, or we're in for some trouble,” warned Rocky as soon as he noticed Sabina'sstare

With a snort, Sabina reluctantly broke eye contact with a vulture and hurried to catch up to Rocky.Suddenly, a strong gust of wind billowed through the land. It blew the dry, grey dirt up into a flurryso thick that it blotted out the sun.

Soon after, an unpleasant scent permeated the air. It suddenly hurt to inhale sharply; it was asthough they were breathing fire. “Sulfur, * Rocky thought to himself as he and Sabina covered theirmouths and noses to avoid being choked by the thick smoke.

Suddenly, Rocky felt his heel sink into the ground, causing him to lose balance. He quicklysidestepped to recover, and upon looking at where his feet had sunk, he noticed a hole. A red hotliquid seeped from the hole, dancing dangerously near his feet.

He then checked the sole of his shoes, only to replace it sizzling from the heat of the magma.

"You deserve it." Sabina gloated with a satisfied expression.

As soon as those words left her lips, however, the magma shot up from the hole with a new frenzy.Dangerously hot tendrils of lava spurted towards her, searing holes into her clothes

She urgently summoned her spiritual power with the Ice nature to wrap around her body. Thisstopped the splashing of the magma, and instantly killed the small flames that danced on herclothes.

"Same goes for you," Rocky said with a wicked smile, gloating at Sabina's flushed cheeks.

Sabina threw him a look of reproach, but said sternly, "I think there's something wrong. Let's get outof here."

"I agree with you.” Rocky nodded seriously.

Then, the earth beneath them shook. They barely had enough time to exchange glances when theground cracked and fell through.

In the blink of an eye, magma burst forth from the cracks, devouring the earth as though it wereliving and ravenous.

Rocky and Sabina sprinted away as fast as they could, but they could tell there was no way tooutrun the cracking earth and the flowing liquid.

Before long, the whole land seemed to gradually be eaten by the sea of magma. Rocky and Sabinafound less and less of a foothold, panic and desperation welling up inside them. Soon, the magmasurrounded them from all directions, and what little ground they stood on was quickly shrinking."Hey, what are you doing? Summon Duchess Silver now!" Rocky shouted to Sabina hysterically.Sabina barely nodded and immediately opened her Magic Spiritual Space. Duchess Silver emerged, and in a flash, Sabina had mounted its back. She reached out a hand to Rocky.

He grasped Sabina's hand at once and climbed onto Duchess Silver's back.

Duchess Silver hissed under their weight, kicked its hind feet, and launched into the air. The nextmoment, the whole land below them was swallowed by the golden boiling sea.

"This Myriad Beasts Ground truly is a dangerous place,” Rocky said with a sigh of relief. "Just now,we could've been killed, if it weren't for Duchess Silver!” He smiled, patting Duchess Silver on itsside. Sabina's earlobe tickled with every word that left Rocky's lips, as he was leaning so close to her. This made her uncomfortable. All of a sudden, Sabina felt a shiver down her spine. Her face turnedbright red with anger. She turned to glare at Rocky and shouted, "Shut up!"

Rocky was confused by her reaction, but before he could reply, he sensed something behind him. When he turned to look, his face grew pale. He abruptly whipped his head forward and wrapped hisarms around Sabina’s waist tightly.

"You..." Sabina was stunned. She hadn't expected Rocky to suddenly hug her tight, and she felt herbody become warm suddenly. She felt outraged. The spiritual power with Ice nature emanated fromher body, enveloping her in a cold chill.

'He just wants to take advantage of me!" Enraged thoughts raced through Sabina's mind. She hadn'tbeen touched by a man since she was a child, so she was not used to the idea of being touched sosuddenly. “Is he molesting me?’

But when she opened her mouth to give Rocky an earful, the world suddenly got dark. A shadowenveloped the sky, covering the sun. As she turned around and checked what had caused such athing, her mouth dropped open in shock.

Hundreds upon hundreds of Black Vultures gathered in the sky, their beady eyes staring right atthem. They had an ominous, starved expression, and instantly, Sabina knew they were their prey. Asinstantly as she realized this, the horde of vultures charged after them.
