"Watch out!" Rocky immediately lowered Sabina's body while his arms were around her waist andprotected her body with his.

Rocky's reflexes were almost as swift as the flock of vultures diving towards them. But because ofthis, some of the vultures ended up swiping his back with their sharp talons.

In the blink of an eye, his back was badly mangled with blood. He released the evil spiritual power abit too late, causing him to fall one step behind the vultures.

It wasn't until then that Sabina realized that Rocky wasn't drawing her closer to him to takeadvantage of her. It was to protect her. With the amount of strength she had, she was ready to takeon the vultures before they could attack.

"Go, Duchess Silver!" As she noticed that they were surrounded by vultures, Sabina's expressionchanged drastically. Not risking carelessness, she called out for Duchess Silver.

Duchess Silver moaned deeply as it raised its head. It rushed swiftly towards the vultures like anarrow released from its bow.

The vultures, however, were relentless in their chase.

But Duchess Silver was able to drive them away thanks to its speed.

"Are you alright?" Sabina asked Rocky who still held her when they managed to get to safety."Don’t worry. It isn't fatal.” The calm facade he tried to put on was broken by the twist of pain thatspread across his face.

Worried, Sabina ordered Duchess Silver to land at once.

"Can you get your hands back?" Sabina asked assertively as Duchess Silver began to land.

With a bitter smile, Rocky did as she said. Unfortunately, the injuries on his back caused him to losehis balance. His whole body trembled before falling from Duchess Silver's back to the ground below.Seeing this startled Sabina. She quickly came to his side and noticed his bloody back.

"You..." Sabina realized that Rocky saved her at his expense.

"Don't... forget about it... Just put some of the magical saliva on it. I'll need your help..." He reachedinto the silk bag on his waist and produced a bottle containing the magical saliva. He handed it toSabina.

As her eyes glanced over Rocky's back, Sabina began to feel guilt and pity. He risked his life for hers,after all. She quickly regained her senses. "Why should I feel guilty? I never asked for his protection.I'll be fine without it.’

Stubborn as she was, Sabina admitted that this was the first time she felt guilty for a man—andbeing protected by one as well.

They both knew that Sabina was stronger than Rocky. The fact that he was still willing to sacrificehimself for her was truly special to her. Normally, Rocky would've protected himself. So this selflessact of his—of protecting a woman he knew could overpower him—uwas difficult for her tocomprehend.

"Could you hurry up? It hurts!" Noticing Sabina's confusion, Rocky urged her on. Even though thewound was superficial, it still caused intense pain.

If this had happened to an ordinary man, he would've yelled. Thankfully, years of experience hadblessed Rocky with an overwhelming level of endurance and calmness.

At his order, Sabina glared at him. Despite this, she quickly opened the bottle of magical saliva. Shedipped into it with her finger and gently dripped it onto his horribly mutilated back.

The moment the magical saliva touched the surface of his back, Rocky gasped at the sharp pain thatensued.

"Painful?" Sabina asked him.

"What do you think?" Rocky retorted.

Sabina immediately went silent. Her eyebrows raised upon observing the wound on Rocky's back—which she knew was causing him tremendous pain just by looking at it. The amount of pity she feltfor him shocked her. This was highly unlikely of her. She should be more concerned aboutbecoming stronger and following in her master's footsteps—not someone else's welfare.

Her years of strict training within the Ji Clan since childhood turned her into a heartless killer, eventowards her family. The only one who could make her expressionless face change was Isis.

But ever since her master ordered her to accompany Rocky, she felt strange. Originally, she despisedand ignored him. Now, she found herself drawn to him and willing to change her demeanor forsome odd reason.

"Hey, do you want me to die of pain?" Noticing she wasn't paying attention to him, Rocky raised hisvoice and said.

"Because I think that's exactly what you want to happen!" Sabina snapped out of it. She continuedto apply the magical saliva on Rocky's back. When she realized this was her first time to touch aman's body, her face blushed a deep red. This act of healing Rocky meant something entirelydifferent to her at the moment.

"How cruel!" Rocky complained through gritted teeth. But as the magical saliva began to work, thecoolness it provided canceled out the sting his wounds brought.

Hearing his complaint, Sabina smiled as if the gentlest wind just caressed her face. However, it leftas quickly as it came.

The magical saliva worked tremendously. Most of Rocky's wounds had already healed and he couldeven move freely now.

"We have to learn to be more careful next time. The Myriad Beasts Ground is full of hidden dangers.We'll never know what we may encounter next," Rocky uttered with narrowed eyes. Looking back onwhat had just happened, he knew that they wouldn't be as lucky the next time. The only other timeRocky considered himself lucky was when he had the mysterious woman named Cherry to help him.Rocky was fully aware of Sabina's power—the preliminary level of the Supernal Stage. However, thisdidn't matter when they were in the Myriad Beasts Ground where she could protect herself at most.It would be a challenge to protect someone else in this stage.

Only one word was fit to describe the Myriad Beasts Ground, a horrific and dangerous place—thatwas hell. Danger and crisis were infinite here.
