Chapter 625 Congratulations to the Bride and Groom

"This is all my fault,” Woods lamented. "I should have been more careful.” He was confident at firstthat he could successfully attack Evian City. However, his plans did not consider Rocky joining indefense of the Crimson Dragon Army especially when he was wronged by Lance.

"Rocky should not have intervened. We underestimated him. He even managed to escape theassassination and successfully revealed Laney's identity,” Alyssa said with resentment. HearingRocky's name made her flinch and triggered a deep anger in her. She could not wait actuallymeeting the man and giving him what he deserved.

"I've warned you about him, Alyssa.” Woods was only informed afterwards that Alyssa sent Laney toplan the assassination. When he found out, the plan was already in motion. He could only worryabout Rocky. When Laney returned, she informed them that her identity had been exposed and thatthe assassination had failed. Woods felt a rock get lifted off his chest. Despite everything, he did notwant Rocky to die like that.

"He can't run away forever," Alyssa remarked with conviction

"Your Royal Highness, the Evian City spy sent news." A guard came in with an armful of paper.Alyssa grabbed the papers and skimmed it. Her eyes widened as she went through the files.

"What happened?" Woods asked after seeing Alyssa's shocked expression.

As a way of response, Alyssa passed the papers to him.

"Rocky is going to marry the daughter of Lance?" Woods shared Alyssa's surprise. "And it'shappening soon.

We shouldn't have let go of him before. We should have killed him earlier. As soon as he marries thedaughter of Lance, he would become much more powerful than he already is," Alyssa said sternly."Do you just want to kill him because you are afraid of losing?" Woods inquired. He knew thatAlyssa was already determined to kill Rocky. And, if Alyssa planed something, it was more likely asure thing to happen. At that point, Rocky's early death was inevitable.

"Are you kidding me? I am not afraid. I just think he's annoying and a nuisance. He had been hidingfrom us which is frankly cowardly of him. He isn't even brave enough to confront me in thebattlefield,” Alyssa sneered scornfully, "That's good to hear especially now that you will soon have achance to fight Rocky face to face,” Woods said with a knowing smile.

"What do you mean?" Alyssa asked.

"I just have a strong feeling that Rocky will be taking control of Crimson Dragon Army. Lancewouldn't just let him marry his daughter without a real valuable exchange. Rocky would make agreat army leader,” Woods speculated.

"It's possible. But I won't let him win, even he has the entire Crimson Dragon Army with him," Alyssasaid, clenching her fist.

Woods did not let her rage get to him. He smiled and thought to himself, “Rocky, you owe me bigtime. 1 just saved your life. I will not let you go away easily. And don't you dare fight my sister or elsethat will be your sure defeat.’

As Woods and Alyssa planned Rocky's defeat, Lance was planning Rocky's wedding with Isis whichwas scheduled to happen in three days.

Lance had already spoken to Rocky about leading the main camp of the Crimson Dragon Army. Hewould be taking charge right after his marriage with Isis.

Everything happened quickly. It was fortunate that the Crimson Dragon Group had more thanenough resources to fund the wedding. With still three days until the wedding, Rocky and Isis hadalready received generous amounts of gift from well-known people in Evian City and thesurrounding cities. They all wanted to be more connected with Lance.

The base camp was already crowded with visitors from different places.

Amidst all the flurry of activities, Isis and Rocky just sat still and waited for their big day.

Isis was involved with the planning because it was expected of the bride.

While Rocky often disappeared into the morning and went home late.

The day before their wedding, Sue went to Rocky's room and found no one inside. He had beengone for two days and he hadn't tried his red robe yet.

"Why would he disappear the day before the wedding?" Isis was worried. After all, Rocky hadalready done something similar in the past.

"Don’t worry, Miss Isis. Mr. Bai is reliable. I am certain he will fulfil his duties to you and the CrimsonDragon Army." Sue treated Rocky like her elder brother. She was happy that Rocky was marrying Isisespecially because she had always admired Isis.

"Sue, don't call the lady Miss Isis anymore. You can just call the lady sister," the maid beside themteased. Isis was also aware of their relationship.

"I can't do that. Although the lady will be almost like my sister-in-law, she deserves respect andnothing else. I will still call her Miss Isis," Sue insisted.

Isis let out a soft chuckle. At that point, her mind was overwhelmed. She couldn't believe she wasgoing to marry the next day, and that she was going to marry Rocky. It seemed like it was justyesterday when she first met Rocky. It was at the Isis Pavilion and she caught Rocky peeping at her.And now, she was going to marry that man. They had been through quite a drama together it feltalmost unreal.

"Miss Isis, please look out for Mr. Bai. After all, he is quite irresponsible with himself. I hope you takegood care of him,” Sue said as she combed Isis’ hair.

"I will." Isis nodded. She knew that it was her duty as a wife to take care of him and she accepted itwholeheartedly. Their marriage was inauthentic, but she was determined to act like a real wife.

"The phoenix coronet and the gown are here. You can try it on. If it doesn't fit, we'll send it to thetailor.” Two maids entered with the items.

Isis admired the phoenix coronet and the gown and said, "It's beautiful.”

"Oh my, you'd definitely look gorgeous in this!" Sue sweetly remarked.

With the help of the maids, Isis tried the wedding garments. Everyone in the room stared at her withadmiration. She looked like a peony in full bloom.

"Wow," a man’s voice said. "My future wife looks beautiful. I wish there was a way for me to capturethis memory." Isis looked up and exchanged glances with the person who just entered the room.
