Rebirth of the Prime Dragon Master
Chapter 740 I Am Rookie

One of the two strong men led Rocky into the Magical Beast House and guided him to a room onthe second floor. Every inch of the room felt luxurious due to all its ornate decor. Behind theexpensive square table sat a man who was furrowing his thin brows and squinting his already smalleyes. He looked shrewd in every sense of the word and was engrossed in what seemed to be anaccount book.

When the man raised his head and saw them, he immediately locked onto Rocky's filthy clothes thatmade him look like a beggar. A frown formed on his face and he asked, "Who's that?"

"Steward Willie, he's..." Rocky didn't hear the rest as the man beside him went closer to Willie Wuand spoke to him in a low voice.

"Oh, it's Miss Juey again. She takes cats and dogs in, and now a person too. What's more, we evenneed to replace a job for him. Our Magical Beast House isn't charity hall.” Willie clicked his tongue andhis tone alone was all Rocky needed to know that he held no respect for Juey. He glanced at Rockyagain and his thin brows furrowed in disapproval. "It just so happened that a servant working in thebeast farm just quit. You may take over the job," he instructed. He turned back to the man and saidsomething in his ear.

Afterwards, the man led Rocky out of the room, back down to the first floor, and out to the MagicalBeast House's backyard. It was surprisingly big, a vast area with plenty of houses. People in uniformscame and went, greeting each other with smiles just like a big family.

They walked westward for a while and passed by a few rows of connected bungalows, all neatlyseparated from each other.

The man led Rocky into one of the bungalows and said to him, "You can live here from now on. Stayhere and wait for me." After his instruction, he left without a glance back.

Rocky watched him go before entering the bungalow and checking his new home. The room wassmall but had a huge bed piled with several quilts.

'I have to leave. There's no point in staying here, ' Rocky thought to himself. His original plan wasjust to sell things and leave without a trace.

Right when Rocky was about to turn and leave, the man appeared with a set of clothes in handwhich he tossed to Rocky. "Follow me."

Even though Rocky wanted to just knock him out and leave, he was in the heart of the Magical BeastHouse and he didn't want to cause any trouble, so he followed after him to the beast farm with atired sigh.

The moment he reached the beast farm, Rocky felt thankful that he hadn't left. Many beast stablesfor spirit-manipulated beasts greeted his eyes, the scale of which was equal to the Super Beast Farmand the beast farm of the headquarters. The most important thing was that most of the spirit-manipulated beasts here were ones he'd never seen before.

Any idea of leaving was quickly kicked to the curb; it wouldn't do for him to leave until he collectedall the samples from the spirit-manipulated beasts here to help with his research. Moreover, hedidn't actually know what was happening in the Holy Dragon Empire. According to Woods, hisbetrayal had spread all over the country already. Since he was now a traitor, it would betroublesome for him to return to the Holy Dragon Empire so quickly. Because of that, it would bebetter to stay in the Super Beast Farm, he decided.

'Did Woods let go of Sabina and the others?" Rocky thought to himself.

"Starting tomorrow, your job is to clean up all the beast stables. Every one of them should becleaned and have no smell. It is a taboo to laze around on the job in the Magical Beast House. If youget caught by Steward Willie, you'd have to pack up your stuff and leave. Understand? Rememberto change into the clothes I gave you. Don't scare our guests by looking like a beggar..." The manrebuked Rocky and then turned around to leave.

It was already dusk so there was nobody else in the beast farm. Rocky quickly found a place andchanged into the clothes that the man gave him—a long gray and blue robe and a pair of blackpants. Once he was changed, he turned from the Commander in Chief of the Crimson Dragon Armyto a servant in a beast house. He couldn't help but sigh at his current situation.

Afterwards, Rocky fetched a bucket of water and washed his face as well as his messy hair until hefinally didn't look like a beggar anymore. However, the stubble on his face made him look a littleold, but his obvious bad mood aged him even more.

'I should replace a place first to feed the Dark Heaven Insects and Dark Heaven Cubs. They should bestarving by now." With that thought in mind, Rocky was about to leave the beast farm.

Just then, a woman went through the entrance of the beast farm. She glanced around as if in searchfor something, and her eyes landed on Rocky.

It was the woman who kindly took him in.

She changed into a lavender dress; it was simple and ladylike, yet her figure was still obvious andmade her seem like the beautiful queen of a night club.

By the time Rocky got his head on straight, she had already approached him.

"Miss Juey," Rocky politely greeted.

"Willie told me he assigned you to the beast farm, so I came here to check on you," she said with asmile and looked Rocky up and down. "Anyway, you don't really feel like a beggar. Why did youlook like that before?"

"It's a long story. Thank you for taking me in, Miss Juey." Rocky bowed to her again. Although itdidn't really make a difference to him if she took him in or not, he still felt obliged to show hisgratitude.

"I often take in homeless animals; you're not the first one I took in." She waved off his thanks andsmiled brightly at him.

Rocky was at a loss whether to cry or to laugh. “So she's treating me just like a homeless animal.""By the way, I don't know your name yet. What is it?" She peered up at him.

"Miss Juey, you can call me Rookie." Rocky didn't want to tell her his real name, lest it stir up sometrouble.

"Rookie? Why, it's the same name as the dog I took in the day before yesterday! It's also calledRookie." The girl chuckled to herself.

Sweat broke out on Rocky's forehead as his head pounded. “What a silly girl she is!" he thought.“She's all breast and no brain. She just talks and talks without a thought."

"Don’t get me wrong, I'm not making fun of you. It was just a coincidence,” she quickly explainedwhen she saw the look on Rocky's face.

"Never mind.” Rocky shook his head.

"You should work hard and don't slack off! Otherwise, I'd be scolded by Willie. He'd blame me fortaking you in." She made a face and left quickly after.

Once she was out of sight, Rocky disappeared in the blink of an eye.

While Rocky was testing the waters of his new life in a strange place, his grand funeral was beingheld in the Imperial City of the Holy Dragon Empire.
