Chapter 772 The Myriad Spirit Tomb

Juey was held at knifepoint by Queenie. With the tip of the dagger pointed at her face, a bit ofuneasiness ran through her body. But still, Juey remained calm and composed.

"Queenie, you are going too far. If the chief replaces out, I won't be able to protect you," Lucas said in areproachful tone. They didn't mean to come to the Magical Beast House; they were just on tour andhappened to pass by. They didn't want to expose their identities, but they also didn't expect that theXiao Clan would be so rude to them

Queenie had the hobby of threatening and pushing people around, even powerful ones, whichmade her known as "Miss Troublemaker." But because she was the second daughter of the powerfulCao Clan, no one dared to fight back. The only person who could afford to do so was the clan chiefherself.

"Master, I know what to do. Let me have some fun first, and then we'll go to the Black Sand Abyssand replace the legendary Myriad Spirit Tomb," Queenie said. She seemed to have thought ofsomething and her face flushed with excitement.

“Black Sand Abyss? Myriad Spirit Tomb?" Standing in the dark, Rocky rattled his brain trying to thinkwhat these two places were. He knew he had already heard of the Myriad Spirit Tomb, but hecouldn't seem to recollect the memory.

Rocky reached into his carry-on bag to get a small, folded parchment. He quickly spread out theparchment on which there was a painting that seemed like a treasure map. The patterns on thepainting vaguely represented a terrain. A line ran through one end of the map to the northern, toppart of it. On top there was a cross with three words faintly written. Rocky could barely make out thewords, but he was certain they read "Myriad Spirit Tomb."

“This girl referred to the Myriad Spirit Tomb. Is it the same one on the map? Does it mean that thetreasure map is actually leading to the Black Sand Abyss?’ Rocky thought to himself. He was greatlysurprised. He found the treasure map along with the Dragon Flame Pearl and the secret manual onspiritual martial arts. He didn't pay the map much attention until now, because he thought it led tonowhere. He wasn't sure where the map pointed to or what it was for. It was only when he heardwhat the girl said that he figured out that the map was actually leading towards the Black SandAbyss.

While Rocky was thinking about the map and where it led to, Queenie pulled out a tendon from herbag. The tendon was slender and resilient, but looked firm and tenacious like a whip. She thenrevealed the tendon to the people of the Xiao Clan and then said with a devilish smile, "This is atendon. If anyone one of you can tell me which spirit-manipulated beast this came from, I will lether go. But if you can't, then it's your fault for what's going to happen to her." She then pretendedto cut Juey's face with her dagger.

All the members of the Xiao Clan stood there, looking at each other hoping that one might have theanswer.

Though Juey often went out to hunt beasts, it was her first time seeing this kind of tendon. She triedto think about it first, but after no answer popped in her head, she looked to see if any of the othermembers had the answer. To her dismay, she was greeted by the grim expression on each of theirfaces. She knew she was in trouble. Juey couldn't help but look at her father with some resentment.She felt like she was being abandoned. Raef never let Mary suffer this kind of humiliation. They wereboth his daughters, and yet why didn't he do anything?

But no matter how much she hated her father, she knew that the fact couldn't be changed. She waslike an abandoned child. Deep down inside, she had already known this since she was a kid, and shejust didn't want to admit it. But now she was completely wakened up from her dream.

"Hmm...it seems none of you knows the right answer. This is getting really boring." Queenie shookher head and turned to Raef. "Chief Raef, please don't blame me for what I'm about to do to yourdaughter.”

"If hurting her can please you, then do it," Raef said painstakingly. He took one look at Juey beforeaverting his eyes. He knew he had to abandon her for the sake of the clan.

"Father..." Mary couldn't believe her father said that. After all, Juey was her sister. When she wasabout to open her mouth to protest, Raef shook his head. She hesitated for a moment but thengave up.

At the same time, all the other members of the Xiao Clan, including Travis, couldn't seem to look ather. They didn't seem to care about Juey.

Juey sneered in disgust upon seeing this. She felt dejected, so she closed her eyes and calmly said,"Miss Queenie, just do it."

"I really didn't expect that the Xiao Clan members would be so timid. Do you really think that I willnot hurt her?" It never occurred to Queenie that Raef would simply roll over and let her hurt hisdaughter without even pleading. Even she sneered in disgust. But she still held the dagger tightlyagainst Juey's face, still trying to provoke the Xiao Clan members.

Just when they thought Juey was about to be disfigured by Queenie, a deep cold voice suddenlyechoed in the area. "Isn't that just a tendon from the Heavenly Wing Fish? That beast is notsomething rare.”

As soon as the voice came out, all eyes were immediately drawn to it, including Queenie's andLucas’.

Instead of being angry, Queenie's beautiful face showed a flash of surprise. She didn't expectanyone to give the right answer. The tendon did come from a spirit-manipulated beast named theHeavenly Wing Fish that lived in a secluded and mysterious place deep underwater. This made theHeavenly Wing Fish very rare, and only a few knew where it lived. Even the best-known beastevaluators across the Wild Spirit Land might not have seen one before.

"Rookie?" It was a very familiar voice for Juey. When she opened her eyes, she saw Rocky walkingtowards her. A sudden feeling of relief washed over her. However, she found that the man standingin front of her was different from the one she met before. His eyes were cold and scary.

"Who are you? How do you know this is a tendon of the Heavenly Wing Fish?" Queenie wasdoubtful that this man was a member of the Xiao Clan. After all, she believed it was impossible forany member of the Xiao Clan to know about the existence of the Heavenly Wing Fish.
