When Queenie heard Rocky's tone, she was stunned for a moment, but then she paused andcarefully scanned him from head to toe. It was quite dim when they were in the water and shecouldn't clearly see him. Her indignation got the better of her when she thought that he tookadvantage of her, so she didn't carefully look at his face.

Most importantly, the water washed away all the dirt caked on him and revealed his good-lookingappearance. It was near impossible to connect the disheveled servant-looking member of the XiaoClan with the man in front of her.

"It's... It's you..." No matter how much Rocky's appearance changed, he was still the same person.Queenie quickly recognized him as the rude servant of the Xiao Clan. Even though her voicetrembled, her murderous glare was unwavering.

"It seems that you remembered me, Miss Queenie.” The corners of Rocky's mouth twitched eventhough he kept his voice light.

"You shameless bastard! I haven't paid you back for what happened in the Xiao mansion! Youfollowed me and you even took advantage of me... Killing you isn't nearly enough to let out myhate...” She was on the verge of going berserk as soon as she was forced to remember everythingthat happened between them.

"Do you want to kill me? Why don't you dry your clothes first? Though I don't really mind if youfight me like this," Rocky laughed and wriggled his brows.

Once she realized what he said, Queenie let out an ear-shattering scream and wrapped her armsaround her body, staring at him like a frightened lamb in front of a hungry wolf. Just like a woundedkitten, she bared all her teeth and claws but couldn't actually hurt anyone.

"I saved you but I don't expect that you'd be grateful to me. Hurry up and dry your clothes. There'sa lot of beasts here and you can't reason with them. I can't play with you anymore because I have todo something important,” Rocky said bluntly and barely spared her another glance. It was toughluck that he had to meet such a headstrong girl in this kind of situation. In his entire life, he had onlymet two very unreasonable girls, one was Shirley from the Ximen Clan and the other was Queeniebefore him. It was like the two were mirrors of each other, and both of them were arrogant,capricious and obstinate girls from big clans.

Just now, the only reason why Rocky even went to save Queenie was because he was afraid he'd beimplicated by her screams but he was safe now. There was no need to mess with Queenie anymoreand he'd gladly leave her alone.

Right after speaking, Rocky turned to leave but Queenie's exasperated voice made him pause."You're not allowed to leave! If you try to leave, I'll chase you to the end of the world, catch you andtear you to pieces!”

"You're strong but dumb. If you stay here alone, you'll get killed. Go replace your master.” A deadserious expression took Queenie aback when Rocky suddenly turned to look at her. There wasn't ahint of playfulness in his words, just pure fact. If they hadn't met, Queenie would have ended upbeing dead. With her strength, she wouldn't be able to deal with the Combating Heavenly RobustWolf alone.

As soon as Queenie met his eyes, she felt like she was locked in an ice cave. Although she was morepowerful than Rocky, the eerie atmosphere around him made tendrils of unease and even fear crawlup her spine. It wasn't like anything she felt while she was at the Xiao mansion, which meant thatthe man in front of her eyes wasn't a servant of the Xiao Clan at all.

Before she could react, Rocky had already disappeared from her sight.

Once she was alone, Queenie shivered in fear at the thought of Rocky's words. Her eyes dartedaround her surroundings for a moment before she dropped onto the ground and used spiritualenergy to dry the wet clothes on her body. All the while, she kept all her senses trained on hersurroundings.

Not long after, an old man rushed over and let out a sigh of relief when he saw Queenie. "I finallyfound you. What are you doing here?"

"Master!" Queenie cried out, her eyes became rimmed red as if she suffered a great injustice.

The old man was none other than Queenie's master, Lucas, the strongest beast evaluator of the CaoClan and possibly, even of the entire Timber Deity Empire.

"What's wrong? Did something happen to you?" Lucas’ eyes widened when he saw her distress andconcerned questions spilled out of him.

Queenie immediately told him the story but omitted certain important points.

After hearing everything she had to say, Lucas looked surprised for a moment before a smilereplaced it. He was astonished that his disciple had met the young man whose family name was Bai.Considering the young man's strength, Lucas didn't expect that he'd appear in this abyss. It was allvery surprising and interesting. Nonetheless, he could only helplessly watch when he saw howincensed his disciple was even though the young man saved her life. Even though his disciple didn'tseem to appreciate the young man's kindness, as a master, he wouldn't confuse right and wrong.There was no denying that his disciple was saved by the young man.

"Master, please help me replace him. I'm going to kill him," Queenie huffed and her voice was nearlyloud enough to echo.

"I planned to take you to the Black Sand Abyss and explore the Myriad Spirit Tomb, but it's actuallyvery dangerous. I walked away for a moment and you got yourself in danger. It seems that I can'ttake you to go any deeper. We better leave first. The Beast Master Contest is about to start anywayand we have to go back to the Cao Clan to prepare for it..." Lucas ignored her request and wentstraight to the point.

"No, I have to replace him first. After I kill him, I'll go back..." Queenie stubbornly insisted.

"Queenie, this year's Beast Master Contest is very important to the Cao Clan, especially for the chief.You know that, right?" Lucas’ voice became grave.

An unwilling expression soured Queenie’s face but she nodded.

"But that young man really is mysterious. I'd like to see him too..." Lucas mused in a different tone."Then let's replace him first, okay?" Queenie whined at him.

Once she found Rocky, she'd do everything to torture him and vent her anger...
