Anger burned in Travis' eyes as he stared at Juey and Rocky.

"Mr. Rookie..." Juey called out, looking for answers. She did not expect that she would be the chiefof the Xiao Clan. Like a lost child, she looked at Rocky for help.

"Why not express your gratitude to His Royal Highness?" Rocky nodded to Juey.

After she got her bearings straight, Juey bowed to Woods and said, "Thank you so much, Your RoyalHighness."

"I look forward to seeing how you will develop the Beast Curing Skill of the Xiao Clan,” Woods saidwith a warm smile. He was joyous not because he was happy for punishing Raef, but because Rockywas alive. Seeing an old friend who he thought died a long time ago, alive and well in front of himsparked an unmatchable joy inside his heart.

"Your Royal Highness, as the chief of the Cao clan, I am also responsible for this accident. I amwilling to accept any punishment!” said Lucilla. Though Raef acted on his own accord, his Xiao Clanwas affiliated with the Cao Clan, which meant that the latter was also responsible for whattranspired. This might make the Cao Clan lose Woods' support, but still, she was adamant to receivethe consequences.

"Don't worry, Chief Lucilla. I won't hold you accountable. It's lucky that you have invited me to comeover. Otherwise, I'm afraid that I will regret not coming here for the rest of my life!" Woods repliedwith a grin and then looked at Rocky. If he hadn't been here, he wouldn't have found out that Rockywas still alive.

Everyone was confused by what Woods had said. Even Lucilla was at a loss. She noticed that Woods'grin was directed at Rocky as if they were old friends.

"Your Royal Highness, please let the Cao Clan deal with Chief Raef. He endangered not only thename of his clan, but also ours too. For that, he should be severely punished," Lucas said sternly."It's up to you," Woods said indifferently. He didn't care about Raef or the Xiao Clan at the moment.What he wanted to know was why Rocky was still alive and how he got in the Cao Clan's mansion.He then gave Rocky a slight nod.

Upon hearing this, the people of the Cao Clan breathed a sigh of relief.

"Take Raef out and watch over him closely. We'll decide his fate after the Beast Master Contest,”Lucilla said in a cold voice.

Soon, Raef, whose face was as pale as a sheet, was taken out of the hall.

"What about Miss Mary? What are you going to do with her, Your Royal Highness? I guess it wasMiss Mary who drugged you," Lucilla asked Woods as she looked at Mary, who was still kneeling onthe floor, shaking in fear of what might happen to her.

Truth be told, Woods didn't care about what happened at the moment as he was preoccupied withRocky. He thought for a while and asked, "Is Miss Mary also going to take part in the Beast MasterContest?"

Lucilla nodded her head. She wanted to deal with Mary together with Raef so that news about whathappened wouldn't spread. However, since Mary was a vital role prepared by the Cao Clan for theBeast Master Contest, losing her would be a huge blow to the Cao Clan. Hence, she hoped thatWoods would spare Mary. But she didn't have any say on this matter, nor could she stop the princefrom punishing Mary.

This time, Woods turned to Rocky for help and saw him shake his head.

"As for Miss Mary, she personally admitted her mistake, and it was her father that forced her topoison me. In addition to this, she is going to participate in the Beast Master Contest on behalf ofthe Cao Clan. That is why she would not be held accountable for the time being,” Woods declaredafter contemplating for a while. He knew the Cao Clan would suffer a heavy blow if Mary were to bedisqualified from the contest. He would not be so lenient if this were under normal circumstances.After all, he was the prince of the Timber Deity Empire. No matter how good-tempered he was, hewould never allow anyone who poisoned him to get away scot-free. However, after seeing Rockygive him a hint, he decided to let Mary go this time.

"Thank you so much, Your Royal Highness!" Mary couldn't help but shout with gratitude. She wassurprised but grateful for Woods' decision. She didn't expect that Woods would let go of her thateasily.

Of course, Mary didn't know that the one she should thank for was Rocky. Otherwise, she wouldhave suffered the same fate as her father.

Hearing that Woods would not punish Mary, Lucilla breathed a sigh of relief too.

"Chief Lucilla, Master Lucas, I'm afraid I have to leave now. The next time we meet will be in theBeast Master Contest. I hope the Cao Clan can achieve good results then. I have very highexpectations for you people, especially...” While speaking to Lucilla and Lucas, Woods stood up andturned to look at Rocky.

Although the voice was low, it was so close that Rocky could hear it. He couldn't help but smile ashe watched his old friend leave.

"All the Xiao Clan members, please leave now." Seeing that Woods had left, Lucilla waved her handto tell the Xiao Clan members to leave first.

Soon all the Xiao Clan members, including Mary, retreated from the hall except Juey.

"Miss Juey... No, I should call you Chief Juey from now on. You can go back and have a rest first,”said Lucilla as she turned to look at Juey, who still stayed beside Rocky.

"Chief Lucilla, I'll leave too," Rocky said.
