Rebirth of the Prime Dragon Master -
Chapter 882 Treating Wounds
With the lead of the Rainbow Glow Unicorn, it wasn't long before Rocky, still bearing Alyssa in hisarms, found a cave for sanctuary. It was tucked away under dense bushes beneath the foot of a cliff.Opening the Magic Spiritual Space, Rocky then sent back the Rainbow Glow Unicorn, before heturned back and took Alyssa into the safety of the cave.
As they entered the cavernous space, Alyssa grasped his arm with a gasp, "Wait!"
Rocky instantly stopped and looked down at the figure in his arms.
Taking a sharp bite from her own finger to draw blood, Alyssa set down an enchantment around thecave entrance. And upon setting that safety barrier down, she let out a small cough before finallycollapsing back against Rocky, limp and completely drained.
Rocky was terrified upon seeing her pass out like that. He rushed further into the cave and laid herdown on the flattest space he could replace. Alyssa was covered in blood and bruises, completelybeaten.
“She's hurt just about everywhere and she's covered in injuries... I can't even imagine the kind ofpain she's in. I don't even know how she managed to hold up this long, * Rocky murmured tohimself as he assessed her situation with wide eyes. He couldn't believe Alyssa's determination.
He then began settling things into the cave around her. He opened the Magic Spiritual Space oncemore to enter his lab and fetch some things for medical use: his sutures, alcohol, cotton gauze, andother items set to treat and disinfect prior to surgery. He was almost about to head back whensomething came to mind, and he fetched a vessel that had been tucked away before he made hisway back. Leaving the lab, he exited out of the Magic Spiritual Space.
Before he set about to treating Alyssa's wounds, Rocky extracted a small drop of blood from her bypricking her finger. He caught the drop of blood into the vessel and sealed it.
'Saving you is no easy task, you know. You owe me for this." He rebuked her in his heart even as heglanced over at her. Even so, the corners of his mouth twitched. Under normal circumstances, anyman who had seen her like this couldn't go on to live in this world.
However, Rocky was not someone who would take advantage of a woman in this condition. And hecertainly wouldn't with Alyssa, who was particularly volatile. If he had any intention of remainingalive after she woke up, then he'd better try not to see her. Otherwise, he might die because of thisact.
Rocky ensured that every tool he intended to use was sterilized before he would proceed withsurgery. He disinfected all the wounds he could replace on Alyssa's body using alcohol. Then hepainstakingly sutured up the more serious injuries. Finally, he covered them in gauze to keep themclean. Taking two drops of the magical saliva, he fed them carefully to Alyssa. Then, he used histechnique of Holy Life Saving Hand and unblocked Alyssa’s meridians to revive her bloodcirculation.
As he dredged her meridians, seeking out more blockages, Rocky realized how much more seriousthe extent of Alyssa's injuries were compared to how it looked on the outside. Her body andspiritual power were at a complete state of disarray. And even with his considerable powers, hewouldn't be able to rein in the rampant spiritual power going haywire in her body. But if he didn'tintervene, there was no telling how much worse this could've gone for her. Especially with twopeople outside hunting her down. It was imperative for Alyssa to awaken again as soon as possible.Rocky did everything he could do, but even after all of this, she showed no signs of awakening. Soall he could do now was to turn around and sit, closing his eyes. He could only wait now, with thehope that she would awaken soon.
It was two hours later before Rocky heard a groan behind him. Opening his eyes, he turned to seeAlyssa awakening like a princess from a storybook, slowly opening her eyes. And the instant she did,he almost felt as though a light had returned to heaven and earth itself.
"Are you awake...?" Rocky asked tenderly, watching her.
Alyssa's eyes were bleary before they finally focused on Rocky. Her gaze began clearing inrecognition, and she carefully sat up, looking around at her surroundings. Finally, she dropped hereyes to her injury, and found it treated and wrapped in gauze that was now stained dark red.
She looked up at Rocky instantly, her eyes like shards of flint. There was every likelihood that herfirst order of business would be to kill him.
But as she stared at him, her eyes clearly livid, she made no move to attack him. She just staredangrily at him.
Seeing that she wasn't about to kill him anytime soon, or maybe cut out his eyes or lop off hishands, Rocky sat puzzled instead. He wondered if she was more injured than he thought, or if shewasn't quite up to murdering him just yet. “She's really going to be quiet? Seriously?" he askedhimself.
"What are you still doing here?" Alyssa finally demanded, her tone arrogant and disdainful as sheaddressed him the way a princess addressed a peon. She wasn't angry at Rocky because he'd healedher. She may be, in many ways, quite unreasonable, but she couldn't possibly overlook what Rockyhad just done for her by healing her the way he did. Were it not for him, after all, she would alreadybe in the clutches of the two men from the Heavenly Demon Clan. No, there certainly was no reasonto be angry. In fact, she had every reason to thank Rocky. But there were just some things that pridewould never allow.
