Chapter 883 You Get The Jade!

Alyssa seemed to be acting quite normally again, so Rocky just shook his head and smiled. Heopened the Magic Spiritual Space and momentarily stepped in. Fortunately, he still had someclothes left in the lab from the time when he'd gone into the depths of the Black Sand Abyss.Drawing out those clothes from the space, he turned and handed them to Alyssa. Then he turnedback around prudently to allow her to change into them.

As he heard the sound of rustling clothes behind him, he tried to organize his thoughts to thingsmore rational; there were just too many things he could imagine happening right now.

"Alright, you can turn around," Alyssa finally spoke behind him.

Rocky glanced back and found Alyssa dressed in men's clothes rather charmingly. Her messy mopof hair was pulled back now, making her appear almost too pretty to be a man.

"How long had I fainted?" Alyssa asked immediately as she made the final touch-ups to herappearance.

"Just two hours. Not too long," Rocky replied.

"Well, the enchanted barrier I'd set up can at least stand for another four hours. That gives us twohours to figure out a plan to get out of this place,” Alyssa sighed in response.

"First things first. The spiritual power inside you is still a mess. You'll be unable to use the powertemporarily. So you'll have to come up with some way to get out of here without using it.” Crossinghis arms, Rocky eyed her.

At that, Alyssa gritted her teeth and looked frustrated, shaking her head. "Damn it. Then we're notgetting out of here unless the Divinity Surrounding Enchantment vanishes. But the enchantment canhold for about eight hours. And starting from the moment it was placed until now, it's only beenfour hours. Counting the time span on the enchanted barrier outside, it can only protect us foranother two hours. We'll have to try and hide for another two hours, hoping those two guys outsidedon't replace us. Or else..."

"It does sound hard... The thing I don't understand about all this is why they want your Moon Fox sobadly. Don't they have their own guardian beasts? Or is there something particularly special aboutyour guardian beast that I don't know about?" Rocky asked curiously. He had been wonderingabout all of this for some time now.

"Alright, well... How much do you know about the guardian beasts?" Alyssa finally asked.

"Not much. I only heard Woods mention them before," Rocky replied with a shrug. He owned thefamed Beast Encyclopedia in the Wild Spirit Land, but there hadn't been any record of a guardianbeast in it. The Beast Encyclopedia was comprehensive as it even had a record of the Soul-shadowBeast. But there hadn't been any record of guardian beasts from the spiritual race. It could be anindication that whoever wrote the book didn't want people to know about such beasts. After all, thesecrets of the spiritual race were not something that mere humans could explore. It would makesense if that was the case.

"Really?" For a moment, Alyssa hesitated, but she finally decided to explain. "I can't really tell youanything about Moon Fox right now. The more people know about it, the more dangerous thingscan get for me. But what I don't understand is how the Heavenly Demon Clan would know aboutthe secret of Moon Fox too... Even within the Wood Clan, only the chief and a few selected elderseven know about that secret.”

Her words made Rocky suspicious now. He recalled the memory he recalled back to the time he sawthe dragon-shaped jade in the Myriad Spirit Tomb. At that time, the witch from the Holy DragonEmpire happened to mention the legendary guardian beast, Moon Fox. That was also the name ofAlyssa's guardian beast. Were they the same one? Or did they have some sort of connection?

This was still merely Rocky's conjecture, of course. But he couldn't probe into this matter now. Themany secrets of the Myriad Spirit Tomb were beyond comprehension, after all, and he didn't wantAlyssa to think twice about him in a situation like this one.

"Oh, I almost forgot..." Alyssa suddenly spoke up, as though a thought had occurred to her. Shelocked eyes with Rocky and asked, "How on earth did you get the Dragon Flame Pearl that you'dused to save my brother?"

"The Dragon Flame Pearl?" Rocky's eyes narrowed at her.

"The Dragon Flame Pearl was one of the three treasures the Roaring Flame Empire once sent to ourTimber Deity Empire. The other two treasures are a secret manual of the Heavenly Stage, and atreasure map. If the pearl is in your possession, then it stands to reason that the treasure map iswith you too, doesn't it?" Alyssa raised an eyebrow and looked askance at him.

Upon hearing that, Rocky was rather surprised. He hadn't expected that the treasures he hadsomehow procured on the Gehenna Border were actually tributes to the Timber Deity Empire fromthe Roaring Flame Empire. And yet there he was, with all of them in his possession.

"Wait, what treasure map?" He was quick-witted enough to play dumb. But he knew that map wellenough; it was the treasure map that led him to replace the Myriad Spirit Tomb. Moreover, clearly,Alyssa cared deeply about that particular treasure map. She likely already knew that it hadsomething to do with the tomb, and was seeking it out as well. If Rocky's guess was right, he justcouldn't admit that he had the map. This was one card he had to keep close to his chest for the timebeing. If Alyssa knew he'd already been into the tomb, there was no telling what the consequencesmight be.

"Don't play dumb with me, Rocky. Hand over the map this instant. And it's useless for you to keepholding onto it anyway. If you give me the map, I'll give you the Dragon Flame Pearl in exchange.”Obviously, Alyssa was already certain that Rocky had it.

"I don't have it, honestly. I didn't know there was such a map! Look, if you don't believe me, you'rewelcome to search me." Rocky held out his arms. It was true; he didn't have that map anymore. Hehad already burned it just after he left the Black Sand Abyss. With the route keeping in his mind, hedidn't need it anymore.

Of course, she didn't believe his words, but she wouldn't search him. After all, he was quite smartand if he had hidden the map, it was impossible for her to replace it out.

"Fine, forget it. We'll talk about this later. Right now, the most important thing to do is figure out away to get out of here. I've consumed too much of my spiritual power, so it's hard for me to recoversoon. If I can restore at least half of my spiritual power, maybe we will have a chance...” Alyssa saidin a worried tone. But the more she thought it over, the worse her worry became. Shaking her head,she added, "It won't be possible to regain that much spiritual power in two hours, though.”

At that, Rocky frowned slightly. Still, he hesitated before finally taking out the Sea Blue Magic Jade,shining in its crystalline brilliance. "I think you can make it easily, if you use this jade.”

"What is this?!" Alyssa's eyes widened to their limit as she felt the emanation of strong spiritualpower from the jade.

"I guess based on how experienced you are, you already have an idea of what this thing is." Rockysmiled.

"Is... Is this the Sea Blue Magic Jade that showed up in the Myriad Beasts Ground?" Alyssa asked, jawhanging open. She was knowledgeable enough to appraise the jade and its origins immediately.Prior to this moment, she herself had sent out a team of spirit manipulators to seek out the treasurein that area, but she hadn't known that it was this particular jade. Had she known, she would'vegone to search for it herself. It wasn't until later on that she received a report back from thereturned team, telling her that what they found in that area was the legendary Sea Blue Magic Jadeitself and that the jade was a bait. It was used by a spiritual race member to attract the spiritmanipulators sent out by numerous empires there for him to gather their spiritual power. In fact, thespiritual race member almost killed all of them. It was a mysterious woman that had prevented himfrom doing that.

But never did she imagine that Rocky would have such a thing in his possession.
