Chapter 963 The Dragon-Shaped Jade

After Rocky disappeared, the spider supernatural beast slowly opened its enormous mouth and letout a long, whip-like tongue.

Rocky was about to pass through the gap and enter the spider's gigantic body when he feltsomething smack his back. He turned around and saw the tongue of the spider was chasing afterhim. He tried his best to dodge it, but the tongue was relentless.

"You are really annoying!" Rocky exclaimed. Since his invisibility ability consumed a lot of spiritualpower, Rocky had to become visible and kept the tongue at arm's length. With one rapidmovement, he evaded the tongue and zoomed forward like a flash of lightning.

After a fierce chase, Rocky finally made it to the enormous body of the spider, but its tongue circledin front of him and blocked him.

As it sensed Rocky, the spider turned around and was about to pounce on him.

Seeing this, Rocky poured all his strength into the Frozen Wind Dagger. Immediately, the FrozenWind Dagger turned into a long sword. Its sharp blade sparkled in different colors.

Before the spider could make a move, Rocky shouted and swung the sword with all his strength.However, he did not aim at the spider, nor at the tongue, but at the space above the passageway.As the colorful blade slashed through the wind, it sliced open a huge gap in the rock just above thepassageway. Endless sands and stones rained down. Soon after, the stones collapsed and eventuallyblocked more than half of the passageway.

After he successfully blocked out the spider, Rocky bravely faced the tongue in front of himHowever, the tongue became distressed and quickly pulled back.

Rocky breathed a sigh of relief and ran in full speed. He knew the stones could not block the spiderfor too long.

After he had run for a while, Rocky found himself in front of an enormous building that was like analtar. It was majestic and floated between two rocky cliffs. Under it was an endless dark abyss.

The altar sparkled under the glare of the sun and looked more glorious as it drifted in the air.Eighteen tall, wood-shaped stone totem pillars surrounded the altar like a ring. Each pillar wasjoined by a very thick chain, and each chain emitted a faint halo that would rise and fall in the air.At the center of the totem altar stood an exceptionally huge dragon stone statue. It was twenty tothirty meters high, and took up more than half of the totem altar. It looked real and spirited with itspair of luminous wings, as if it would take flight at any time. At first glance, one would think it was amasterpiece of the gods.

Rocky soon sensed a very strong aura and spiritual power that seemed to be coming from the giantstatue. He looked at it intensely and felt life coming out of the statue.

Rocky had a feeling the statue was alive.

"Is it the ancient spiritual beast that has been sealed?” Rocky examined it all over, and flew closer tothe altar, so he could take a closer look.

However, as soon as he approached the totem around the altar, a bolt of lightning surged out fromthe totem and rushed towards Rocky.

Good thing, Rocky had not released the state of Spirit Possession yet, and he was able to step backin time. The lightning missed him and hit the edge of the cliff instead.

With the sound of thunder, it sliced through the edge of the cliff instantly.

The entire altar was suddenly besieged by angry lightning that shuttled between the eighteentotems. The scene was spectacular, as bright colors danced around the altar.

'I did not expect that the altar is an enchanted barrier." As he flew back and distanced himself fromthe altar, Rocky shook his head and thought, “The forbidden area of the spiritual race is heavilyprotected. I won't be able to get in that easily.’

Frustrated, Rocky stared at the altar from a distance. Suddenly, the dragon statue looked familiar.He knew he had seen it somewhere before.

"It's strange. Why does this ancient spiritual beast look similar with the Soul Beast I saw in theMyriad Spirit Tomb? But it has fewer wings, and it doesn't have the imposing manner of a kingcoming from the heaven. Its energy is a little weak...” Rocky murmured as he compared the twoimages in his mind.

"Unfortunately, it is not alive. If it is alive, then I'll be more than happy to take the risk, so I cancollect some blood and feed Uriah's egg," Rocky said with regret. The stone statue was entirely solidand had been perfectly sealed off from intruders. Even if he wanted to get its blood, there was nochance. He needed to replace another way to enter the area.

Disappointed, Rocky had no choice but to give up and just go back home. This place was verydangerous. No one knew what else was out here and what would happen if he stayed here for along time. As he was about to leave, the dragon-shaped jade on his chest was suddenly ablaze andburned his chest.

"Ah!" Rocky shouted in pain. Compared with his previous experience, the burning sensation wasstronger this time and sank deeper into his skin. It was so painful. Rocky placed his hand on hischest to feel his skin. The moment his hand touched the dragon-shaped jade, he felt a piercing painin his finger. Something nipped on his skin and a drop of blood was sucked into the dragon-shapedjade.

Rocky was startled. Right before his eyes, the bright light dragon-shaped jade turned bloody-red.Before long, a beam of red light radiated from the dragon-shaped jade. It pierced through theenchanted barrier of the altar and went straight to the glabella of the huge statue.

As the red light burnt through the statue, it triggered a tremor from inside the earth that shook theentire altar together with the statue. The totem stone pillars and thick chains did not escape thetremors and began to convulse. Soon, the enchanted barrier showed flickers of light.

"Something big will happen.” Rocky was so stunned that he could not move. He did not understandwhat was going on. The power of the dragon-shaped jade obviously damaged the enchantedbarrier of the altar and stirred the dragon statue.

"My descendant, wake up!" A loud voice commanded out of the dragon-shaped jade. The voice wasimposing and was filled with power.

Just as the voice rumbled like thunder, the enormous dragon statue opened its eyes. Its solid bodycracked and stone fragments fell down one by one.
