Chapter 43: Fractured Dreams

POV

"Time for your little princess to go. Ha ha ha," The man laughed as he sliced through Lyra's neck.

"No!!" I screamed.

"No," I said as I opened my eyes.

"It was a dream," I said as I rubbed my eyes.

"Where will Aria take Lyra, why would she want to hide Lyra from me. What does she know? She trying to hide Lyra from everyone. There must be something up," I reasoned.

I was still lost in thought when the bell started ringing.

"We are under attack!" The warning was sent to everyone through the mind link.

I smelled them again. It was the ghouls. I hid my scent instantly. I knew they were looking for me because my scent was in the witches havern.

I left the room and went outside making sure my scent was fully masked. The ghouls pushed everyone in their way and walked into the pack house.

I checked to make sure no one was injured then I walked into the pack house.

I entered my room to replace it upside down. The ghouls had already left but there was a message in my room.

"We will replace you, and you will lead us to her. we are closer than you think,"

"This is getting really serious and all Aria could do was to run away with Lyra and didn't tell me anything. She abandoned everyone and everything," I said frustratedly as I punched the wall. "What do you want?" I asked coldly as Ryker walked into my room.

"I noticed you masked your scent. You were the one they were looking for," he said with wide eyes.

"Yes," I nodded. There was no point denying it.

"They are not supposed to be in our world. They are supposed to be in the underworld. Why are they here now?" Ryker asked looking scared.

"Haven't you heard that the wall of the under world has been broken and if you haven't looked around, you are not the only one searching for Lyra?

Everyone in our world and in the underworld are searching for her," I said to him and Ryker looked very shocked.

"Have you found her?"

"No, I haven't found her. Aria has hidden her somewhere and she made sure that no one could replace her," I sighed.

"You need to focus and look for her. you are a hybrid! You should be able to track her down. I counted on you," he said his eyes turning red showing his wolf.

"I'm sorry," I bowed my head.

If I replace Lyra will I really bring her to him? He wants her dead. For reason I don't know but this is turning out to be a web of lies and deceit.

Everyone know something they are not telling and everyday, it is coming to hunt us.

"I guess it is time for me to have a conversation with Ryker," I said as I walked into the pack house.

"Ryker, I need to speak with you," I said to him.

"When did you stop calling me father?" He asked angrily.

"The day found out you aren't my father. Now let's cut the chitchat and have a real conversation. What do you know that you are not telling me?" I asked looking straight into his eyes. "I don't understand what you are talking about," he laughed ignoring my comment about him not being my father.

"What do you know about the species in the underworld and who have you made a bargain with?" I asked.

"I will not be discussing that with you. Now get the fuck out of my room," Ryker shouted trying to make me scared but all I saw was a weak man trying to cover up his secrets.

"I will not repeat myself. Either you start talking or you meet your end," I smiled at him in a psychotic manner.

"I always knew you had a dark side to you. You always hid behind your façade trying to play a good son. It's nice now that I am getting to know the real you. You fucking excuse for a son," Ryker said.

I looked at him with a blank face. "Are you going to talk or should I force the answers I need out of you?" I asked.

"You can't do anything. Don't think you can threaten me because you are a hybrid. I have killed way worse species than you and I am not afraid to do it now," Ryker said trying to look tough.

I reached forward and grabbed Ryker's neck lifting him from the ground.

"Tell me now or I will snap your neck in two," I said my eyes turning gold to show that my vampire self was just at the surface.

"I know I should have killed you when that bitch came to me pregnant with you," Ryker spat and my hands tighten around his neck.

"Killing me won't change anything. There are people who are more powerful, more dangerous and very deadly. They are out searching for your little princess and they won't hesitate to snap her little neck. You want answers? Fine I will tell you?" Ryker choked out and I put him down.

"What do you want to know?" He asked a he rubbed his neck.

"I want to know why the underworld wall has broken ad what caused it." I asked.

"The underworld's wall cracked over a century ago when the fight between the queen mother and the colossal god happened. The species that got banished were the species made by the colossal god. They were evil, corrupt and wanted to end every other species for their own benefit.

The queen mother and colossal god made a pack that the crack was there to make every other species straight and responsible. The only reason the underworld's wall will break will be because of the evil going on in our world. And then the bad species will come out and the colossal god will have his revenge on the queen mother. That is where your little princess comes in.
