Chapter 74: The Preparation

LYRA'S POV

Preparations for the weeding started but I was still bothered by the fact that I have been feeling unsettled for the past few days.

"Lyra, we need to go for you fitting now!" Aria shouted from her room and I went out to meet her instantly.

"You don't have to always shout you know. You can act normal and speak like a normal person," I said to Aria but she rolled her eyes at me. "Hey girls, I am ready," Merida said as she came out of her room.

"Girl, why are you glowing like this?" Aria asked her.

"I glow like this every day," Merida said suddenly turning red.

"No way," Aria said with wide eyes and Merida blushed a deeper shade of red.

"What is going on? Why do I feel lost in this conversation?" I asked not understanding what was going on.

"She had a fun time with that handsome fae," Aria wriggled her brows.

"What?" I asked surprised and Merida looked like she wanted the ground to swallow her.

"So, when were you going to tell me about the fae?" I asked her smirking.

"um.. I.. I soon.. I guess," she stuttered.

"Oh, my! I never thought I would ever see you being a stuttering mess," Aria teased.

"Please stop," Merida said with a small voice.

"Okay, okay enough. Let's go for my fitting. I think we have teased Merida enough," I said with a smile.

"You look so beautiful," Aria smiled at me with tears in her eyes while I wore my wedding dress.

"Kyle won't be able to take his eyes off you," Merida smiled.

"Is everything for the wedding prepared? Do I need to check it again?" I asked them.

"No, we have gone over everything and it is all perfect." Merida responded.

After the fitting the girls convinced me to go to the spa and I spent the rest of my day relaxing but I couldn't help but drift back to the uneasy feeling that settled in the pit of my stomach. "Where is Kyle?" I asked.

"Are you missing him?" Aria teased.

"I really need to speak with him." I said seriously.

"I don't know. I haven't seen him today," Aria answered and Merida nodded.

"Okay," I replied.

KYLE'S POV

I didn't understand what he was saying. What did he mean by he didn't accept Lyra as my wife and mate. why will he want me to marry Kiera. I need to talk to Kiera. I said to myself as I walked back home. He summoned me again and I had to go to him even though I didn't want to.

Kiera told me she had left him and she doesn't work for him anymore, so why will he want me to marry her? I kept wondering on my way back to the pack.

"Where is Kiera?" I asked her friends as soon as I came down from my truck.

"She is in her room," they responded and I nodded as I walked up.

"Kiera, are you still working for my father?" I asked her.

"No, why are you asking me this question now, it is strange," she said with a nervous smile.

"I got summoned by him and he asked me to marry you, I replace that weird because you are no longer working for him. What could he possibly gain from me marrying you?" I asked her.

"I don't know maybe he just wants us to get together," she shrugged.

"Yeah, except I am in love with Lyra, so that is not going to happen. You think it is so too right?" I asked her.

"It doesn't matter what I think. Leave Kyle," she said as she pointed to the door.

"What, why? we haven't finished our discussion," I said to her.

"I am not in the mood to talk anymore, please leave," Kiera said.

"Are you okay?" I said as I moved towards her.

"I. Said. Leave!" She shouted as she raised her head to look at me. Her eyes were golden, they looked like mine when my vampire is in charge.

"Y..y..y your eyes are.." I didn't finish what I was saying because she pushed me out and locked the door.

Could Kiera be a hybrid? I questioned as I walked towards my room.

It is a possibility that Kiera is a hybrid who hides her vampire side because that is the only reasonable reason why father will ask me to marry her. he will get very strong hybrids or strong vampires/ wolves as his grandchildren. But I feel there is more to it. I will talk to Kiera when she is no longer angry. I said to myself as I walked out of the pack house towards Lyra's house.

"Hi babe," I kissed Lyra as she opened the door for me.

"Hi, where did you go? I didn't see you all day," she said to me.

"I had urgent business to do outside the pack," I said to her.

"That sounds suspicious," she looked at me as she peppered kisses on my neck.

"Hmm," I responded not being able to form any intellectual response because my senses were flooded by this beautiful woman in front of me.

"Do you want to come to my room?" she asked me suggestively.

"Hell yeah," I replied as I enveloped her in a kiss.

I really needed this.

"Lyra!" I woke up to Aria loud voice the next more as I turned to face my beautiful fiancée.

Memories of the night before replayed in my mind as I took in her soft, beautiful skin that was exposed.

She is so beautiful, I thought as I examined every inch of my body. My member got hardened again and I started to kiss her cheeks.

"Mhhm, Kyle," her beautiful eyes stared at me as she woke up.

"Yes baby," I responded as I took her lips with mine.

"Really?" Aria stood at the door as we covered up our bodies with the duvet.

"Aria! Get out!" Lyra said turning red while I laughed.
