REBORN UNDER THE FULL MOON
Chapter 84: Curse of The Full Moon

I moved aimlessly not knowing where I was going but I kept moving forward into the woods, my ears ringing and I wasn't really focusing on anything.

All that kept repeating in my mind was that I needed to leave this pack and now, I needed to get far away.

The full moon shone illuminating my way and mocking me. I remembered what grand nan said to me but I kept moving forward. I was mentally exhausted and I didn't feel like thing for my self at this point. All I wanted as to leave. The night became extremely still as it got darker. The world was quiet and I could hear nothing but the sounds of the crickets.

I kept moving forwards like I knew this place by heart.

I ended up in the middle of the woods in a clearing where three women stood with their blood red gowns.

Their eyes were the same color of their gown and their smiles looked plastic. I ignored them and I continued to move forward.

I didn't have time for any paranormal shit today, I told myself.

"Lyra," the three of them call out in their inhumane voices and stopped me for moving forward.

I looked up at the in acknowledgment and waited for what they wanted to say.

"Go back, a child with your blood is not allowed to pass," they said.

"I cannot go back," I responded to them.

"You have to, the curse you carry will not allow you to pass," they said.

"Who are you and what does the curse have to do with you? It does not affect you in anyway. Let me go," I said already agitated.

"No, we are the balancer of the universe. If we let you go, you will disrupt the balance and we cannot have that. we cannot allow you do that," they said looking at me.

"I need to leave," I shouted.

"Hahhahahaha," they laughed showing me their black teeth.

"You cannot leave," they said to me looking directly into my eyes and I felt a chill run up my spine.

"Grand nan," I said as I remember she told me to call on her when I needed her help.

"Grand nan! I need you! I shouted and suddenly the place became very windy.

"Dear child you called," she said gently to me as she walked towards me.

"Yes, I called." I nodded then I pointed to the women standing in front of me.

"They wouldn't let me pass," I said to her.

She looked at them and gasped, "The scribe virgins," she said.

"The scribe virgins?" I asked.

"Yes, they are the balancers, if you leave this territory, which I assume you are trying to do, you will break the barrier of balance and they can't let that happen because the curse bearer will become stronger," grand nan explained. "Who is the curse bearer?" I asked.

"The curse bearer is the keeper of curses. Any curse you lay on put upon something, is sent to the curse bearer and he accepts it and makes it permanent. Think of him like a rebel of vengeance. He solidifies curses." She said to me. "What can be done?" I asked again.

"You have to be reborn," the scribe virgins said.

"What?" I asked not understanding them.

"You need to be reborn under the full moon. You need to get rid of your curse and to do that, you need to collect your curse back from the curse bearer," the scribe virgins said and I looked at grand nan who nodded. "How do I do that? how do I take curse back?" I questioned.

"You need to go to the realm of the curse bearer," the scribe virgins responded.

"Yes dear, you need to visit the curse bearer. But I need to tell you, it is not an easy task. People visit the curse bearer and never come back. In history, there is only one man who visited the curse bearer and came back," grand nan placed her hand on my cheek.

"Who was it?" I asked.

"It was Zeus," my grand nan said.

"There is no way, I am going to ask him how he did it. He might as well go to hell," I said angrily.

"Don't say that dear child. Since you don't want to ask him how he did it, I will help you." She said as she put a necklace made of pearls around my neck.

"If things get really bad and you feel like you are not going to survive, pull the necklace and let the pearls fall on the ground.

You will return back here" she said.

"Okay," I nodded as I made up my mind to face the curse bearer, I moved towards the scribe virgins.

"I want to face the curse bearer and collect the curse back. I want to be able to break the curse and become reborn under the full moon," I said to them.

"I knew you had it in you, I knew you will agree to the," the middle one said and they all laughed.

"But there is one thing I want to ask of you," I said to them.

"What is it?" they replied.

"I want to break this curse for my linage not just for me alone. I don't want anybody with my blood to be under this kind of curse again for eternity," I said to them. "You are truly a wise one," they said.

"We will grant you wish on one condition too," they said to me.

"What is the condition?" I asked them.

"You will bring back our necklace, it is on the curse bearers neck," they said.

"No," grand nan shouted.

"The deal is not with you," they said to her.

"She is from my lineage, I will not let you people kill her. you couldn't get it yourself and you suffered great injuries. You want to get her killed," grand nan accused them.
