Return Of The Prodigy
Return of the Prodigy Chapter 30

Bang.

Peter smashed the phone to pieces, his face contorted with rage. "Damn Adam, I won't rest until I've killed you!"

Trey and Gemma were scared and quietly took a step back.

They had never seen Peter so crazy before. In their fear, they couldn't help but think that they must quickly get Katie to divorce that lunatic, so as not to be implicated.

"Don't just stand there! Where's your phone? Keep calling her!" Peter roared.

Trembling, Gemma took out her own phone and called Katie.

"I'm sorry, the number you have dialed is powered off..."

"Damn it!"

Peter kicked the car, leaving a large dent in the door. Gemma hurriedly stepped aside.

"What time is it?" Peter asked with bloodshot eyes.

"Five, five o'clock."

"Damn it!" Peter cursed. With only one hour left, what should he do? Regardless, stabilizing the order was the most important.

"Come with me to the Hartleys!"

Peter turned and got in the car. Trey and Gemma exchanged glances, hesitating.

"Hurry up."

Trey and Gemma shivered and quickly got into the car.

The car sped towards the Hartleys.

...

Hartleys.

Peter knelt down in the hall with a thud.

"Grandpa, just go ahead and kill me."

Dave, sitting in the first place, frowned and asked, "What's going on?"

Peter immediately cried out, "Today, following your instructions, I went to Byron Group to discuss the details of cooperation. But I don't know what that despicable Katie did. The people from Byron Group threw me out directly, saying they only negotiate with Katie. If they don't see Katie before six o'clock, they will tear up the contract and withdraw the project."

"I thought the project was crucial. The Hartleys finally got the order, and it can't be ruined by Katie. So, I went to replace her in person and even called her. But, but she..."

Dave slammed the table, angrily asking, "What did she say?"

Peter lowered his head, stammering, "She, she wants you to come and invite her personally."

"Rubbish!"

Dave erupted in anger, slamming the table, "What is she up to? Rebelling? I fire her, and she wants revenge, doesn't she? Does she want to be kicked out of the Hartleys, out of Lisle?!" "Dad, dad..."

Trey stepped forward, whispering, "Calm down first. I can prove that what was said just now wasn't by Katie. It was Adam, that lunatic. You can rest assured; I'll make Katie divorce him tomorrow."

"Shut up! Isn't it because you raised such a good son-in-law!" Dave scolded.

Trey was scared, trembling, almost kneeling down.

"Where are they now? Get them back immediately!"

"She turned off her phone."

Dave glared, "How dare she? Is she trying to ruin my Hartleys?"

"Call that useless guy immediately."

Peter's eyes lit up, "Yes, quickly call that lunatic."

Trey was also stunned, then lowered his head weakly, "I don't have his number."

"I, I don't have it either," Gemma said.

Bang.

Dave grabbed a teacup and smashed it on Trey, "How can you be a father-in-law? You don't even have your son-in-law's phone number?"

"You useless thing, what else can you do?"

Trey, drenched in tea, dared not wipe it off, nodding repeatedly, "Yes, yes, it's all my fault. I'm useless."

"Humph!" Dave snorted heavily.

Peter anxiously said, "Grandpa, it's almost six o'clock. What should we do?"

Dave's face changed colors rapidly, but eventually, he gritted his teeth and stomped his foot, "Let's go, come with me to see what this unfilial child is up to."

Grandpa really wants to go and invite Katie?

Although Peter found it hard to believe, he couldn't help but secretly heave a sigh of relief. As long as Grandpa is willing to intervene and vent his anger on Katie, as long as he doesn't blame him, it's fine. Trey, on the other hand, looked shocked and hurriedly tried to stop, "Dad, dad, we can't do this."

"Get out of the way!" Dave walked out angrily.

"Keep calling, keep calling until that jerk's phone is on."

After ten minutes, as the car just left the villa area, Peter suddenly exclaimed, "Grandpa, it's connected..."
