The moment Morris realized the curse on him had been lifted, he sprang to his feet, regaining his usual agility. All the resentment he had bottled up over the past two days erupted in an instant.
He glanced at Yulia, who lay sprawled on the floor in a pitiful state, and then slipped on the shoes he had arrived in. Expressionless, he walked over, his presence as foreboding as death itself.
His intense aura of bloodlust forced Yulia to crawl backward despite her overwhelming pain. She begged, "No, no! I was wrong! I regret it! Please, Morris, Mr. Chivers, please don't come any closer! I'm a woman. You should have mercy. You should be a gentleman!"
At that moment, Yulia was consumed by pure terror, her face a mask of disbelief. She thought, 'How could this be? He is clearly afflicted by the invisible spell-one my grandmother specifically created. How could he have broken free?'
Panicked, she began to plead desperately. But Morris was unmoved. 1s time, she had completely crossed the line. Even though she was the biological daughter of his professor, he wasn't going to let her go.
When he was about 3 feet away from her, he summoned all his strength and delivered a brutal kick to her abdomen. One kick after another followed.
He thought, 'Mercy and gentlemanly conduct-other than Cherise, no woman deserves such treatment from me.'
Years of intense training had turned Morris into a powerhouse, and his strikes were merciless. As Yulia coughed up blood again, she eventually succumbed to the agony and fell unconscious.

In the underground lab of GlobalVision Group, Cherise let out a deep breath as she watched the serum become fully infused with the cursed worm.
Her face was drenched in sweat, and her exhaustion was palpable. It was evident just how much psychological pressure she had endured over the past few hours.
"Boss, it worked, didn't it? Looks like it's fully integrated. I've got to say, my respect for you keeps growing!" Crow sounded more excited than anyone else.
Cherise nodded and said, "It's done. I wonder if he can feel the effects yet. Let's hope everything goes smoothly. Has Leo called in?"
Crow replied, "He has. He said they'd found Hannia. Hannia spent a long time coaxing her mother before managing to get her to reveal all their nearby properties. The Dark Web Division team is likely conducting a thorough search right now. "But here's the thing-we went through so much trouble to keep Mr. Chivers's disappearance under wraps, yet it feels like someone leaked it all at once.
"Now the internet's flooded with rumors. Some say you're not good enough for him, claiming your true colors are showing. Others are saying that the wedding's close, but he can't stand you and has run away.
"A few are even calling you cursed, like fate itself is punishing him for being with you. Then there are people saying that Mr. Chivers got involved in some shady dealings and has been arrested. It felt like they hired an army of trolls.
"We were so busy earlier that we didn't have time to shut them up. Once I shower and change out of this lab coat, I'll happily jump in and clap back."
These words managed to elicit a chuckle from Cherise, briefly easing her exhaustion. She said lightly, "Leave it be. Let them talk. Isn't she just trying to stir up public opinion? Let her have her fun.

"Anyway, I'm heading out. The lab's cleanup is on you. I'm going to freshen up-I can't have my husband smelling sweat all over me when he actually comes back." With that, she waved at Crow and left the lab. Crow didn't mind at all, grinning as he replied, "Go ahead, go ahead. Oh heavens, please bring my boss's husband back soon!"

The curse on Morris had indeed been lifted by Cherise. Back at Carson's place, the divination hexagrams shifted on their own as soon as Morris was freed from the spell. Seated nearby, Carson glanced at the signs and nodded in satisfaction. "Morris is as steadfast as I thought. Not bad at all."
Eugene hesitated before asking, "Mr. Garcia, don't tell me you knew character and resilience?"
is's whereabouts all along but kept quiet to test his
Carson burst into hearty laughter and replied, "How could you say that? Testing him? Do I seem like that kind of person? Besides, Morris's character is beyond question.
"Freeing him from the spell wasn't something Cherise could've done alone. Without his resolve, breaking the spell's hold wouldn't have been possible. Cherise has much better judgment than her grandmother ever did."

After venting all his rage on Yulia, Morris turned and walked out of the room without so much as a backward glance. Yulia lay on the floor, seemingly lifeless and unconscious, ignored by everyone.
The commotion had been so intense that a few servants of the villa huddled behind the pillars outside the room, trembling as they eavesdropped. When Morris came out, one of them let out a startled yelp, too terrified to meet his eyes. Aware of their presence, Morris ignored them entirely. His gaze landed on the surveillance camera mounted above the room. With a swift jump off the wall, he ripped the camera down
He pulled out its chip, tossed the rest aside, and strode out of the villa, exuding an intimidating aura. Not a single person dared to approach him.
Only after Morris was completely out of sight did the servants, their legs still shaking, dare to enter the room.
Switching on the lights, they were greeted by the sight of a pool of blood on the floor. One servant fainted immediately, while another began screaming uncontrollably, too frightened to step forward.
The remaining two mustered their courage and walked to Yulia. One called out nervously, "Ms. Muller... Ms. Muller..." The other tentatively placed a hand under Yulia's nose to check her breathing. The room was a scene of utter chaos, leaving them all in a state of panic and helplessness.
