Luther

POV

"I don't want to get up," Adele groans and cuddles closer to me. "Yesterday was so crazy, that I need to spend a week in bed."

"I second that," I pull her closer and my hands slowly roam down her back.

She moans softly when I push her onto her back and my lips move over her jaw to her neck. Adele's fingers curl into my hair and she sighs satisfied when I capture her n!pple in my mouth. My hand travels up her thigh and I trail a finger across her centre ever so slowly, making her wiggle. I relish how wet and ready she is when I slide two fingers in and out of her. She spreads her legs, allowing me better access and I centre myself at her core.

Our eyes lock and I keep her gaze as I slowly enter her. Her legs go around my waist, pulling me closer and I increase my pace. Our breathing becomes faster and harder as ! pump into her. "Don't stop," she pants as her nails dig into my shoulders.

Her muscles clenches around me and I can feel myself nearing the edge. When she cries out her surrender, I let myself go and my oga*sm washes over me.

I capture her lips and roll over before pulling her into my arms

Adele POV

"A week of this is exactly what I had in mind," I murmur as I intertwine our legs, throw my arm over his chest and rest my head on his shoulder.

"We can hide in our treehouse"" Luther chuckles just as there is a knock on the door.

"Urgh, noooo," I grunt softly.

"Sorry to disturb you, Alpha," Rena sounds apologetic. "But I thought you'd like to know that we have a lead on Sheldon."

"I'm coming," I shout and quickly untie my limbs from Luthers.

"A week has seven days and not seven minutes," he complains as I jump up and walk to the shower.

"Hurry up and join me," I shout as I open the tabs. "The sooner we get this over with, the sooner we can continue this."

Rena is pacing up and down in my office when I enter. She must be just as eager as me to put this ordeal behind us.

"Tell me what you got," I say as I sit behind my desk.

"He's at a Motel in Mexico," she informs me hastily. "We hacked his computer at home and found everything. False passports, secret bank accounts, the whole nine yards.

With that information, it was easy to track him down."

"That was stupid," I snort. "Going through all that drama to falsify everything, just to leave the evidence at home for anyone to replace."

"He didn't do it intentionally," Rena replies. "We found the pieces in his driveway. I suspect he accidentally dropped it or deliberately smashed it when running away. If it weren't for the IT guys, we'd still be searching." "And the rest of The Enforcers?" I ask.

"We found one in California" she sighs heavily. "We're still searching for the other four."

"I see," I mumble absentmindedly as I tap on my desk.

We need to get Sheldon before he moves on, but at the same time, Moonstone needs me. More than half of my guards are recovering from the attack, and I do not want to expose them.

I know Rena is trustworthy enough to apprehend Sheldon herself, but my hands are itching for him. It has been since the very moment I realized what they were doing. And honestly, Rena and Neal are the only people I trust to capture The Enforcers. "Who's helping you search for them?" I ask

"Parker," she replies. "He's my cousin, trustworthy and a genius with everything electronic. He's the one that found Sheldon."

"Put Parker in charge of the search for the other four," I say as I stand up. "Gather a team and go to California. I'll take care of Sheldon." Axel POV

"Goddess, I'm getting big," Liana is standing in front of the mirror and staring at her stomach. "I don't recall being this huge with Connor." "You're imagining it," I say softly as I put my arms around her waist from behind and kiss her on the neck.

"See, I can still hold you in my arms with ease - just like when you were pregnant with him."

"I'm scared," she turns around and looks at me. "After the things we saw yesterday ... how do you keep your child safe in such a cruel world?" "We keep them close as long as we can," I kiss her gently."

And shower them with love."

"They must learn to fight," she says firmly. "They must be able to protect themselves when we're not around."

"We will Love," I pull her closer to my chest. "I promise."

"We must hurry," Liana wiggles out of my arms. "Adele and Luther will be here any minute. Her message sounded urgent."

"Come on," I take her hand. "I ordered your favourite breakfast."

"Oo, bacon," she smiles brightly at me. "Thank you."

Reese is already waiting for us when we arrive at the dining room, but he looks like he has not slept at all. I do not even have to ask; I know it is his mate who has him tossing and turning.

"Luna" Reese looks hopefully at Liana. "Will you please help me convince Missy to accept me?"

"Help, yes. Convince, no," she smiles as she helps herself with the bacon. "Missy is a strong woman and has been through a lot in her life. You can't mould her into what you want her to be. You must accept her for who she is." "I never thought I'd say this, but I'm afraid she will reject me,

" he admits sheepishly.

"Then tell her that," she replies and sits down. "She will appreciate your honesty."

Reese looks like he wants to burst out in tears as he sits down and reaches for the toast.

"The guard at the gate just mind-linked me," I change the subject. "Adele and Luther just arrived."

Liana POV

Adele, Luther, Axel and I are in the office while Reese excused himself to make a couple of phone calls to check in on his pack.

"I'll escort you to Mexico," Axel looks at Adele. "And Mike and his team will assist Rena. We'll use my company's plane, it's the quickest."

"Do we know if the wives of The Enforcers are involved?" I frown. If the wives are involved, they will be punished but my concern is their children.

"We won't know until we speak with them," Adele replies.

"We'll cross that bridge when we get there," Axel takes my hand and smiles at me.

"Okay," I nod. "In the meantime, I'll arrange a meeting with the alphas regarding the members of Dark Moon."

"Thank you," Axel smiles at me. "Michelle sent a report early this morning. Everybody is physically cleared and ready to be discharged, but they'll stay there until we sort the housing."

"We're looking into a wellness clinic for them," I add and pick up my phone to read the incoming message.

"That's a great idea," Luther agrees. "Is that why Reese is still here?"

"Ah, yes," Axel grins mischievously. "You don't know."

"Know what?" He frowns.

"Missy is coming over, I announce and put my phone down.

"Know what?" He asks louder.

"Reese found his mate," Axel smirks. "It's your sister."

There is a knock on the door and Missy walks in.

"Reese is your mate?" Luther gapes at her.

"Hello to you too, brother," she rolls her eyes.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Luther jumps up and walks to her.

"You're leaving and you don't even tell me?"

"I'm not leaving," she huffs. "It's ... it's complicated."

"Your mate is an alpha," Luther grunts. "He's not going to give up his pack and serve under Axel. There's nothing complicated about that."

"Says the man who hated alpha households until two minutes ago," I mutter under my breath.

"He's one of the good guys, okay," Luther glares at me.

"And I don't want to leave Clear Moon," Missy snaps. "It's home and the only place I know."

"But you can..."

"I have abandonment issues," she admits softly. "! convinced myself that it doesn't matter, but it does. I'm safe at Clear Moon; I'm not leaving."

"Then I'll step down as alpha," Reese says, and we all look at him in surprise. We were so occupied that none of us noticed him coming back into the office.

"I don't want you to reject me," he walks to a dumbstruck Missy. "I don't know your story, but I hear you. I will resign and live here to be with you."

"No" Missy says quickly. "I mean... I, you shouldn't... it's not fair, and I ...

"Let's talk about it," he smiles lovingly at her.

"Everybody out," I order and stand up. "We have arrangements to make and these two need privacy."
