Luther POV

I stare absentmindedly out the window - the book on my lap, long forgotten. I tried to read but my mind kept going back to Adele. I cannot help it - I worry about her. She has been itching to end The Enforcers and now she is willing to trade the big finale for a nap. It is not like her to do anything half-assed.

"Hi," Adele says and surprised I look at her as she walks to me.

"Are you feeling better?" I quickly stand up.

"I'm sorry I snapped at you," she pouts, throwing her arms around my neck. "You didn't deserve that."

"But are you better?" I study her face intensely for any signs of fatigue.

"I'm fine," she smiles brightly. "And I feel terrible for being so rude. I didn't mean to be, I only wanted to sleep. We'll be in time for the punishments if we leave now." "Adele, this isn't like you," I hold her back when she tries to lead me to the door. "Are you sure there's nothing wrong?"

"Yes," she quickly kisses me. "I was tired, I slept and now I'm fine."

Liana POV

Clear Moon is crawling with curious visitors when we arrive with Philip. The truth about Fantasy Island has spread like wildfire and everyone wants to see Philip hang for his sins.

We ensure that Philip is properly locked up before we go home to freshen up.

"Isn't that Moonstone's car parked in front of our house?"

Axel asks surprised when we enter the driveway.

"It is," I nod. "I thought they weren't coming. I hope everything is all right."

"I'm sure it is," he says reassuringly. "They would've called if something was wrong."

Adele and Luther are all smiles when we meet them in

Axel's office.

"Sorry for being late," Adele apologises. "The last couple of days drained me, but I'm all better now."

"Are you sure that's all?" I smile mischievously while Axel helps me to take a seat.

"Positive," Adele insists. "So, what's next on the agenda?"

"Because of the public interest, all involved will be sentenced publicly," Axel explains. "People will have the opportunity to object. Except in Philip's case, his fate is sealed. We did bloodwork on everyone. Those who match UNOS needs will donate their organs. The rest will receive A +

"What about the pigs?" Adele grins. "Shouldn't they be fed?

"This time we're not trying to hide the bodies," I laugh softly. "And I doubt that Shedrick would allow spectators on his farm. He hardly tolerated the guards."

"We have an hour until the proceedings," Axel glances at his watch. "If you'll excuse me, I'm going to check on Michelle to see if she needs any help."

"Are they harvesting the organs here?" Luther gapes at him.

"No," Axel rolls his eyes. "It's happening in an operating room at the hospital. Michelle is manipulating the medical records claiming the wolves died in a car accident." "Paperwork," Luther sighs. "How boring."

"Yeah, well, somebody has to do it," Axel shrugs.

"Luther should accompany you," I say quickly. "There's something I need Adele's help with."

Axel gives me a knowing look but does not say a word as he drags Luther behind him.

"How can I help?" Adele looks curiously at me.

"For starters, you can help me up." I hold up my hand and she helps me out of my seat. "And then you can follow me to the bathroom for a pregnancy test." "You lost me," she frowns as we walk.

"It's quite clear that you're pregnant."

"The test isn't for me," I laugh. "It's for you."

"But I'm not pregnant," she looks perplexed at me. "I would know if ...

"Would you?" I raise my eyebrows as I take out a test and hand it to her.

"Of course," she chuckles awkwardly and looks at the test as if it will bite her.

"Then humour me," I insist and place the test in her hand before leaving the bathroom.

Adele POV

I think I am dead. It must be because my blood is frozen, I have stopped breathing, and my heart has stopped.

"Ready or not, I'm coming in," Liana announces as she opens the door.

"So?" She looks at me with big, sparkling eyes. "Was I right?"

"How did you know?" I mumble as she takes the positive test out of my hand.

"Oh, please," she smiles. "You worked for me for a year, and not once did you say you were tired."

"Well, I ..."

"Congratulations!" She shrieks and hugs me tightly.

"Wait, is this good news?" She looks at me intensely when I do not participate in the celebration.

"I don't know," I can feel the tears gathering. "It's unplanned

I'm in shock and Luther... oh, goddess, Luther."

"It will be fine," Liana says sternly and places her hands on my shoulders. "I know how you're feeling, and I can guarantee you this is a good thing. Luther will be elated, and you'll be a wonderful mother."

"How can you tell?" I sniff and wipe my cheeks. "There are no guarantees in life."

"Because I know you," she says seriously. "Your child is going to have the same happy childhood as you did. And don't let me get started on Luther. That man gave up everything to replace his sister. Can you imagine what a loving father he would be?" "Yeah," I smile. "He's pretty great."

"And so are you," she hugs me.

Axel POV

"I fvcking hate this," I grunt as we watch Hilda and the spouses being escorted out of the cells. "Orphaning children is the last thing I want to do."

"Are you going to kill them too?" Luther swallows next to me.

"No," I shake my head. "They'll be going to prison for a very long time. That doesn't change the fact that the kids will grow up with relatives and not their parents. What's wrong with people? How can they get involved with shady s**t and not think what it will do to their children once the truth gets out?"

"Beats me," Luther sighs. "When I'm a father, I will..."

"When?" I look at him smiling. "Is there something you want to tell me?"

"No," he huffs. "But hopefully one day I'll be a father and I will dedicate my life to them and Adele."

"Alpha," David interrupts and we turn around. "We're ready, to begin with the trials."

"I'll get Adele and Liana," Luther offers.

"No need," Liana and Adele walk towards us. "We're right here."

"You look a little pale," Luther frowns and cups Adele's cheek. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," she smiles. "We'll talk later, okay."

I look at Liana and she winks at me. Instinctively I know she was right about Adele's pregnancy.

"Do you ladies want to sit out?" I offer. Clearly, Adele is emotional, and I do not want to make things harder for her.

"No," Adele says adamantly. "We started this together, we finish it together."

"Let's go then," I take Liana's hand and lead the way.

"Why are you so quiet?" I ask Liana as we walk. "Is everything okay?"

"Would it be wrong if I go back on my word and show mercy to Philip?" Her blue eyes are serious when she looks at me.

"Show mercy how?" I ask carefully. The people are out for blood. Letting Philip live, will not sit well with them.

"I told him he'd be alive when we harvest his organs," she says softly. "But now I'm thinking he should be unconscious."

"I would call that more humanity than mercy," I smile softly at her.

The crowd quiets down as the accused women are being led onto the training grounds. I look at the women as David reads their charges. Not only did they assist in destroying lives, but they also ruined their own families.

Not one person objects or pleads on their behalf as they are sentenced to twenty-five years in prison.

The Enforcers are brought forward and the crowd cheers when they are all sentenced to death.

Liana and I follow as they are taken back to the cells.

Philip is lying on the bed in his cell staring into the abyss and does not even look up when we enter.

"It's over," I say firmly. "Your wolves who attacked Moonstone will remain in captivity. Except for your ranks, they'll be executed along with The Enforcers."

"When you're done gloating, you can fvck off," Philip grunts.

"Gloating?" Liana sneers and I know she is on the verge of losing her temper. "You're so demented that you're confusing common courtesy with gloating. Gloating is keeping a journal of how you r***d and killed women. You know what? Burn in hell, we were going to sedate you before harvesting your organs, but I just decided against it.

You deserve every moment of excruciating pain coming your way."

Liana turns around and storms away.

"You could've gotten away with all of this," smirk as I leave. "If you didn't piss off my wife."
