Chapter 406 Her Disappointment

***Bop

Zion ate on as if nothing had happened. He even peeled a prawn and left it on the plate before Kaylah. Kaylah turned to look at Aryan. "Aryan, peel one for me, please."

Aryan felt flattered but shivered, especially when he saw the murderous look in Zion's eyes. However, Aryan soon smiled at Zion at the thought that this was a request from Kaylah. Then, Aryan showed off while

peeling prawns.

"Kaylah asked me to do so. How can I refuse Kaylah?"

Zion gritted his teeth and almost threw his plate to the ground. With his eyes fixed on Kaylah, Zion felt that Kaylah was up to something bad.

Zion knew why Kaylah was angry with him. His face darkened at the thought of the reason.

Zion took a gulp of water to suppress his dissatisfaction and anger.

Zion had been positive and active, but Andy had the final say on this matter. He wanted to ask Andy several

times but gave up at the thought that he wasn't in the right place.

Zion vented his anger by peeling the prawns for himself. At last, he went upstairs alone.

Looking at Zion's back, Kaylah sighed. To be honest, she was disappointed in Zion.

"He looks like a smart man, but why is he so ***in love? What a blockhead!"

Aryan peeled a few more prawns for Kaylah. "I told you. Given his personality, it is difficult for him to get a

lover or a wife. Kaylah, it seems that you will lose the bet."

Kaylah glanced at Aryan. She was unhappy, but what Aryan had said was right. Therefore, Kaylah said nothing and started eating.

There was nothing wrong with the food, was there?

Aryan served more food to Kaylah and was very attentive.

"Kaylah, your brother teaches us a lesson. We must lose no time to enjoy a beautiful relationship. Don't you

agree?"

Aryan tried to sound Kaylah out.

After his confession to Kaylah, Aryan had done so several times. He didn't do it on purpose, but he couldn't help it.

Kaylah's brows moved. It was the most difficult thing for Kaylah to say no to true feelings. Even if she didn't love Aryan, she didn't want to hurt a sincere man like him. Kaylah remained calm. "Aryan, I know what you are thinking. To be honest, I am very touched. However, I still need time. Let's be friends for the time being, okay?" After Kaylah finished her speech, silence ***the room.

Kaylah lowered her head. She did not dare look at Aryan. She was afraid that she would say yes out of sympathy if Aryan looked sorrowful.

"Okay. You are the boss. I will be your friend forever."

I have waited for Kaylah for so many years, so a few more days won't be a problem. Aryan thought.

Aryan quickly shifted his gaze away after one glance at Kaylah. He pretended that nothing had happened.

"Come, eat on. Didn't you work hard today? How can you work tomorrow if you don't eat your fill? If the

socialites in San Francisco have no fancy clothes to wear, they will beat me up."

Kaylah patted Aryan with a smile. She felt a bit guilty about Aryan anyway.

After the meal, Aryan refused to leave.
