Chapter 407 His Calls

"I will stay here tonight. I feel comfortable here. I will be alone if I go home."

Kaylah frowned. However, this was a villa with many rooms, so Kaylah felt it was okay for Aryan to stay. Then, Kaylah shot a contemptuous glance at Aryan. "Alright. You look pitiful, so I will take you in tonight."

"Thank you, my little Princess."

Hendry had waited outside for a long time. He found that Aryan hadn't left yet. He always had faith in Kaylah but felt disappointed and hurt this time.

Hendry took out his phone and then called Kaylah with a spare number. Kaylah answered the call and sounded lively.

Hendry thought, it seems she is at ease with Aryan. It is understandable because the atmosphere in the Lowery family was depressing, and nobody showed her a smile. Even so, she still played the role of being my

wife with full fidelity back then.

"Hello? Who is that? I'll hang up if you remain silent."

The pleasant voice drew Hendry back to reality. "Are you with Aryan?"

Hendry? Kaylah thought.

Kaylah frowned and stared at her phone. Why did he change his phone number to call me again? Kaylah wondered. She did not want to chat with Hendry now, so she hung up the phone for a peaceful mind. Kaylah threw her phone aside and went to take a shower.

After the shower, Kaylah found her phone still ringing.

Kaylah picked up the phone.

"Hendry, I told you! We are divorced. When will you stop pestering me? Are you out of your mind?"

After a long silence, there came Hendry's ***and tired voice.

"Kaylah, I don't mean ill. I just want to ask you one question. Won't you give me a chance to pursue you?"

Kaylah sobered up. After a snort, she said, "Do you want a chance for love or one for cooperation? Hendry, I know what you are thinking. Let me make myself clear now. I won't cooperate with the Lowery Group! Give up your trick!"

Kaylah hung up the phone and sat on the bed. She felt sore in her eyes, and the reason might be that she was

too angry or that she was a little tired. Kaylah couldn't figure it out.

Kaylah lay on the bed and gritted her teeth.

At a moment like this, Hendry still cares about nothing but cooperation. The cooperation, not me, is his priority. Why should I care about such a man? Kaylah thought.

Kaylah tried to sleep but was sleepless. She tossed and turned on the bed. Then, she walked to the French window and saw a car outside. Soon, she found a man standing next to that car.

If that man was not Hendry, who else could it be?

Why does he stand there in such cold weather? Does he deliberately do so to arouse my sympathy? Kaylah

wondered.

Kaylah immediately closed the curtains. She thought for a moment, put on her coat, and went out.

At the door, Kaylah met Zion coming out of his bedroom. Noticing Kaylah's coat, Zion couldn't help but frown

"Where are you going at this late hour?"

"To take my takeout."

Zion didn't doubt Kaylah. "Don't do this again. Night snacks are not good for your health.”

"Got you, Zion. I won't do it again. Just this time, okay?"

Zion would yield whenever Kaylah gave him her puppy eyes. With a doting smile, Zion said, "Go." Then, Kaylah ran out of the villa.
