"No, I can't sit here and do nothing." Erin clenched her fists, her eyes glinting with chilling malice. "I can't bring down Sydney any time soon, but I can deal with the Ward family." "What do you plan to do?" Glenda looked at her daughter with horror.

Erin smirked evilly. "Don't worry, Mom. The Ward family is eager to climb the social ladder and build a connection with Julien's family through marriage. I will make sure they give up the idea. Julien can only belong to me. No one can take him away from me. Wait and see. On the day of the banquet, the Ward family will give in."

Erin ignored her mother and quickly went upstairs.

Once upstairs, she took out her phone and dialed a number that she had looked at almost every day when she was abroad. It had been ingrained in her mind, and she would never forget. Touching the screen, she took a deep breath and pressed the Dail button.

Her heart started racing, and her face blushed. The twisted and sinister expression she had downstairs was gone.

She waited nervously like a shy girl contacting her crush.

In fact, she was contacting someone she fell for.

It had been seven years since she last saw and contacted him.

She felt a mixture of shyness and fear.

She was shy because she would talk to Julien later.

She feared that Julien would not answer her call.

Erin bit her lip, filled with unease.

Julien and Sydney arrived at the gate of the old residence.

As soon as the car stopped, his phone rang in his pocket.

Julien unfastened his seatbelt and took out his phone, surprised when he saw the caller ID. The air around him turned gloomy. Noticing his strange reaction, Sydney unfastened her seatbelt and turned to look at him. "What's wrong? Who is calling?" "Erin." Instead of hiding it, Julien showed her his phone.

Seeing the name flashing on the screen, Sydney couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. "It's her. Are you going to answer?"

"No, it's just a nuisance call." Julien took his phone back and rejected the call without hesitation.

But he didn't stop there. The phone number was added to the blacklist.

Sydney chuckled. "She likes you. Aren't you afraid your actions would hurt her feelings?"

Julien turned off the screen and said indifferently, "Whether she's hurt or not has nothing to do with me. I only care about your mood. The others are irrelevant. Aren't you happy about my decision?" Sydney blushed and snorted. "Alright, let's get out of the car. Grandma just called and asked me where we were. Let's go."

With that, she opened the car door and quickly got out.

Julien watched her flee shyly and got out of the car with a helpless smile.

On the other end of the phone, Erin was eagerly waiting for Julien to answer her call.

After waiting for several seconds, she received the prompt of a rejected call. It made her heart sink.

'Julien rejected my call?'

Erin widened her eyes in disbelief.

They hadn't seen each other for seven years. He had no reason to reject her call.

He was supposed to be happy to receive her call.

Erin bit her lower lip tightly, her eyes turning misty.

She decided to call again.

'Perhaps Julien just accidentally pressed the disconnection button.'

She thought to herself.

'It should be the case.'

Reassuring herself, she called Julien again.

But this time, she only received a mechanical voice prompt. "Sorry, the subscriber you dialed is busy now. Please try again later."

"Ah!" Erin lost her cool and threw her phone away.

She had been blocked.

Julien had put her on the blacklist.

She didn't believe that someone happened to be calling him.

The line had been through just now, but now he was on the phone. How could there be such a coincidence?

It meant that Julien had blocked her.

Dismayed, Erin curled up in bed, buried her face in her knees, and started to cry.

Sydney and Julien naturally didn't know anything about that.

Even if they did, they wouldn't care.

Erin was just an outsider to them, not worth their attention.

Besides, she had once offended them.

"Mr. Julien, Ms. Raines, you are finally here." As they walked through the gate hand in hand, Felicia rushed over with joy.

She grinned from ear to ear, seeing them so intimate. "Old Madam was wondering why you guys still hadn't arrived, and she sent me over to take a look. I didn't expect you guys to arrive. This is wonderful." Sydney smiled at her and said, "We were caught in a traffic jam. We're sorry to keep you guys waiting, and thank you for coming out to replace us."

"No worries. Let's go inside. Dinner is ready, and Old Madam is waiting for you." Felicia waved her hand to urge them.

Hand in hand with Sydney, Julien followed behind Felicia.

The three of them arrived at the dining room quickly and found Old Madam sitting in the seat of honor.

At the sight of Sydney, Old Madam stood up and went over on her cane.

Sydney quickly let go of Julien's hand and stepped forward to help Old Madam. "Grandma, be careful! I won't run away."

She walked Old Madam back to her seat.

Old Madam patted the back of her hand and smiled. "It's okay. I've lived almost my entire life in this house. Even with my eyes closed, I can replace the way. I won't fall. I'm just so happy to see you, my dear." "Me too. It's been a while. I'm so happy to see you today," Sydney said, helping her sit down.

Once sitting down, Old Madam patted the seat beside her and said, "Sit here and tell me how you've been recently."

"Sure." Sydney readily sat down and poured a glass of water for Old Madam as she recounted her recent life.

Old Madam kept smiling and patiently listened to her. They got along well.

Standing at the entrance, Julien sullenly looked at them. The corner of his mouth twitched as he was completely ignored. 'Forgetting someone?

'Why is my grandma looking at Sydney so graciously? Doesn't she remember I'm his grandson, does she?'
