Sir, Madam Dispeared Again After Divorce!
Chapter 1158 Can't Be Her Granddaughter

Julien pretended to jealously look at the two people sitting at the dining table, but his eyes and heart were only filled with tenderness. His jealousy was only for show.

"Mr. Julien, why are you still standing there? Come and sit down." Felicia, who had arranged dinner for the Old Madam and Sydney, beckoned to Julien as she saw that he was still standing at the entrance. Her voice caught the attention of the Old Madam and Sydney, and they both looked over.

Only then did Sydney realize that she had been too engrossed in talking to Old Madam to forget about him.

In a hurry, she awkwardly stood up and was about to step towards him. "Sorry, I forgot you. You..."

"Syd, don't go." Old Madam grabbed Sydney's hand, pulling her back to her seat. Then she stared at Julien with a disdainful expression. "He's a grown-up with legs. You don't have to invite him." Julien felt embarrassed and grumbled, "Grandma..."

"Don't complain, come over on your own. It's not like you're a child who needs everyone's care," scoffed Old Madam.

Julien put his palm on his forehead, saying helplessly, "I didn't."

"I don't care if you do or not. Hurry over and eat. Do you want everyone to wait for you?" she huffed, glaring at her grandson.

The corner of his mouth twitched, but he knew that he would be judged no matter what he said. So, he silently walked over and sat down next to Sydney.

Sydney turned to look at him and snickered behind her hand.

'How does it feel to be scolded by Grandma?'

Julien's eyes glimmered as he detected the gloating in her eyes. He discreetly reached under the table and lightly scratched Sydney's armpit.

Sydney trembled, and the amusement on her face stiffened.

Old Madam took the soup handed over by Felicia and was about to take a sip when she noticed Sydney in a daze. In a hurry, she put down her spoon and asked, "What's wrong? Don't these dishes suit your taste?"

Felicia, who was serving dishes, chimed in, "Yeah. If you don't like them, I'll ask the chef to cook something else. No worries, here's also your home. If there is anything you want, just speak up."

Their kindness toward her touched Sydney. She slowly shook her head and replied with a smile, "No, it's not like that. These dishes are good, and I can tell that they are made by Erika. Her cooking skills are always great."

She raised her thumb and continued, "I just got bitten by a bug or something. That's why I spaced out for a moment."

A bug?

Julien raised an eyebrow, amusedly curling his lips.

This woman was retaliating against him by calling him a bug.

"A bug?" Old Madam and Felicia were unaware of the couple's private interactions, so they believed her words.

"How could there be bugs?" Old Madam was confused.

Felicia was also surprised. "Yeah. Although the old residence is a garden with insects and bugs, the servants do pest control every day. There shouldn't be any bugs in the house." Sydney turned her head, glared at the smiling man, and awkwardly cleared her throat. "Perhaps it's just an exception. After all, some bugs can slip through the cracks." Such as the man beside her.

She had just laughed at him, but did he have to pay back by tickling her?

If her reaction had been greater, she would have made a spectacle of herself in front of everyone.

Old Madam and Felicia didn't think much about it. Instead, they nodded in agreement.

Syd has a point. Some small bugs may have slipped in. Make sure the pest control is done more meticulously tomorrow," Old Madam said to Felicia.

Felicia responded with a smile, "Don't worry, Old Madam. I'll take care of it. But for now..."

Sydney knew what Felicia was about to say and quickly waved her hand. "Felicia, don't worry about it for now. It was just a small bug that bit me. It's gone now, so you can do it tomorrow. Let's eat now. Grandma has been waiting for us for long, and it's already past her usual dinnertime."

Her words delighted Old Madam. She took Sydney's hand and graciously looked at her. "Sure enough, Syd cares about me the most."

"That's right. It's always girls who are the most caring," Felicia chimed in, smiling at Sydney.

"Yeah! It's a shame that I don't have any daughters or granddaughters. I only have one son and two grandsons. While the other old ladies are enjoying their lives with their granddaughters, I have to face two grumpy grandsons who rarely show up. Alas, what's the point in having such grandsons?"

Her disdainful gaze fell upon Julien, who had been unable to interject throughout the conversation.

Julien rubbed his temples, feeling somewhat helpless and amused.

So, his grandmother and Felicia hadn't cared about his usual greetings.

Or was it because he was a man that his care was not as valuable as Leaf's?

A sense of satisfaction welled up within Sydney as she caught a glimpse of frustration on his face. It was a payback for his tickling just now.

She placed her other hand on Old Madam's and gratefully held it. "Who says you don't have a granddaughter? Look, I'm calling you grandma, and you can treat me as your granddaughter."

Old Madam's eyes lit up, and she was about to agree.

Julien slammed his hand on the table, hastily interrupting, "No!"

Sydney, the Old Madam, and Felicia all turned to look at him.

Furrowing his brows, Julien met his grandmother's gaze and said helplessly, "Syd is my wife. If she becomes your granddaughter, what does that make me? Her brother?"

The words hung in the air, stunning not only Old Madam, but also Sydney and Felicia.

After a while, Old Madam laughed awkwardly. "It doesn't seem like a good idea."

She wanted Sydney to be her granddaughter, but not at the expense of letting her grandson lose his wife.

"Ah, it seems that in this lifetime, I'm destined to not have any granddaughters." Old Madam sighed regretfully.

Seeing that she had given up on the idea of making Sydney her granddaughter, Julien let out a sigh of relief and gave a faint smile.

He was not bothered that his grandmother didn't have a granddaughter.

He was happy about keeping his wife.
