Sir, Madam Dispeared Again After Divorce!
Chapter 738 The Origin of Julien's Family

"I called you, but your phone was off." Julien's eyes fell on her bag, his tone a little accusing.

He called her, and her phone was turned off.

It would be strange if he were not aggrieved in his heart.

Sydney understood the man's thoughts, and the corners of her mouth twitched. "Sorry, my phone happened to die at that time and I charged it when I got back into the car." Julien let out a snort without speaking.

Sydney looked at him for a moment and then suddenly pulled his arm. "Are you angry?"

"No," Julien said with his head turned away.

Sydney was speechless.

He said he was not angry, but he pulled a long face.

Her phone was just out of battery, so he couldn't get in touch with her. Did he have to be so upset?

This man was getting more and more unreasonable.

Although she thought so, Sydney still coaxed Julien. She held his arm and gently shook it. "Well, it's my fault for not checking the charge before going out. I will be more careful next time, okay?" Julien then turned his head around, but his face still looked proud. "All right."

He looked like he reluctantly forgave Sydney, which made Zach in the driver's seat unable to accept it.

How did Julien become like this?

He was like a little wife, waiting for Sydney to coax him.

Did Julien and Sydney exchange their roles by mistake?

The thought made Zach shiver.

Seeing Julien's reaction, Sydney gave a wry smile, shook her head, and said, "Enough is enough."

She poked Julien with her elbow unhappily.

Julien grabbed her arm and pulled her into his arms.

Sydney let out a cry and then fell into his arms.

Julien wrapped his arms around her waist to keep her from breaking away. "Don't move."

Sydney wanted to get up and sit aside immediately, but he told her not to move.

She understood that he just did not want her to get up so that he could continue to hold her.

She decided to do as he wished.

Sydney relaxed, leaning against Julien's chest without moving.

Seeing this, Julien smiled with satisfaction.

Zach expressionlessly withdrew his gaze and then pressed a button.

The next second, the partition that separated the front seats from the back seats was rolled up.

Julien glanced at the partition in front of him, looking contented.

Julien thought, 'Good. Zach is sensible.'

Sydney wondered what Julien was thinking as she leaned against his chest, playing with the diamond buttons on his shirt. She asked, "What did you want to see me about this afternoon?" Julien glanced down at her and whispered, "I just missed you and wanted to hear your voice."

Sydney paused for a moment as she played with the buttons. She blushed slightly and raised her eyes toward the man.

But from her angle, she couldn't see the man's full face. She only saw his well-defined jaw and sexy Adam's apple.

His Adam's apple bobbed up and down while he breathed and swallowed. Sydney had an urge to touch it.

She had never touched a man's Adam's apple, so she didn't know what it would feel like and whether it was soft or hard.

Seeing the woman in his arms suddenly quiet, Julien slightly loosened his arms around her, looked down at Sydney, and asked, "What's wrong?"

"Nothing." Sydney came out of her trance and shook her head slightly with a smile. "I'm just thinking that we have only been apart for a short while and you miss me. Are you lying to me?" "Do you think I would lie to you?" Julien raised her chin.

Sydney met with his infinite eyes.

His pupils were pure and clear, looking very beautiful but a little frightening.

His eyes were like black holes as if people would be dragged into them after looking for a long time.

So few people could stare at Julien like this because they were afraid.

But Sydney didn't feel scared. Instead, she thought his pupils were so charming.

Thinking of this, Sydney couldn't help but raise her hand and touch Julien's eyes.

Julien froze for a moment, and his eyes blinked slightly.

His long, thick eyelashes brushed her hand, tickling her palm.

Sydney couldn't help but laugh.

Julien grabbed her hand, put it to his lips, and bit it gently, his voice husky and sexy. "What are you laughing at?"

"Your eyelashes tickled my palm. I've just realized that you have long eyelashes." Sydney looked at Julien's eyelashes with undisguised envy in her eyes.

She was so envious.

As a man, he had such long, thick eyelashes, which made her feel inferior.

Julien naturally saw envy in Sydney's eyes, although it quickly disappeared.

He chuckled and said slowly, "Do you like them?"

"Of course, they are so beautiful." Sydney nodded.

Julien's smile broadened. "Then I allow you to touch them often in the future."

Sydney grunted. "Who wants to touch your eyelashes often? By the way, I suddenly noticed that you look like a foreigner."

She suddenly raised her hand, cupped the man's face, and looked at it carefully. The longer she looked at it, the surer she was.

Julien's face was not as soft as other men in this country.

His face was deeply lined.

She hadn't looked at him so closely before, so she hadn't noticed it yet. Now, she felt surprised.

Seeing Sydney staring at him with an amazed face, Julien chuckled again. "You're right. I'm mixed race."

"What?" Sydney exclaimed, "Really?"

"Yes." Julien nodded. "My great-grandfather came to this country a hundred years ago and married my great-grandmother, who later gave birth to my grandfather. My grandfather took the surname 'Burke', the abbreviation of Burke-Gaffney."

After hearing Julien's words, it dawned on Sydney. "So that's how it is. Your mother's family is quite complicated."

Julien laughed. "My mother's family is huge. It's indeed a bit complicated."

"I have never heard you mention your grandfather's family, and I've never heard of a family surnamed Burke either." Sydney tilted her head, thought carefully for a moment, and nodded with certainty. "I'm sure haven't."

Julien embraced her tightly again. "They just don't use Burke as their surname."

"What do you mean?"

"Do you want to hear more?" Julien asked.

Sydney nodded. "Of course, otherwise I wouldn't have raised these questions."

"Then I'll tell you." Julien smiled.

"Hurry up," Sydney urged, shaking his arm.

Julien patted the back of her hand to calm her down before saying slowly, "As I said, my great-grandfather was a foreigner surnamed Burke-Gaffney, so my grandfather inherited my great-grandfather's surname, which was eventually reduced to Burke, right?"

"Yes," Sydney responded.

Julien continued, "After my great-grandfather moved to this country and married my great-grandmother, he stayed here. Their son took his surname, although my great-grandfather married into my great- grandmother's family, and my great-grandmother's surname is Harrow."
