Sir, Madam Dispeared Again After Divorce!
Chapter 859 Powerful Greta

Five minutes had already passed in their allotted ten minutes of questioning.

'If he keeps stalling, we won't have enough time to hear him speak the truth. Time is running out,' thought Sydney.

Sydney's impatience was observed by the suspect. He admitted without wasting any more time, "I'll explain. A customer gave me $15,000 to rob the bag held by a woman. She instructed me to wait in front of the mall, and if I see any woman approaching a red Benz, that will be the target."

"The customer is a she?" Julien murmured, and then his gaze met Sydney's.

Sydney nodded. She was so certain that it was Greta.

"Was your customer in a wheelchair?" questioned Sydney.

The suspect nodded and said, "Correct, yes, she was in a wheelchair."

"That's Greta." Sydney's guess was totally verified by the response.

Greta clenched his fists. "What a bold bitch to expose herself in front of us!"

"She must be confident that he won't say her name." Sydney pointed at the suspect and further asked, "How did Greta contact you?"

The suspect answered, raising his head hesitantly to look at Sydney, "Via our website."

"Website?" Sydney was surprised.

Julien figured it out. He explained to Sydney, "They have networks, so they are able to connect with other peers. There must be a group of robbers in Port City. They communicate online or inside their own group."

"That's right, sir," the suspect promptly responded, "we accept orders for robbery as well as fighting. People can place orders on our website if they need helpers. We steal, too. Many orders are placed by elites like you guys. They want us to steal information and paperwork from their rivals."

"You even have such a business?" Sydney's mouth corners twitched in surprise. She had never thought that such a thing could possibly occur.

Apparently, she had no idea that people would place orders to hire men to fight or steal.

Upon seeing Sydney's amazement, Julien grinned and said, "He told the truth. Many business elites tend to hire such thugs. They don't want to leave themselves open to charges. Those hatchet men have their way and can manage it neatly, so they are popular."

"Are they popular with you?" Sydney stared at Julien while asking.

"Nope. I don't need them. I've got enough guys." Julien shook his head without thinking.

Sydney nodded, but she was confused. Greta knew not only that such organizations existed but also how to place orders. She was more knowledgeable than Sydney ever imagined.

Even Sydney knew nothing about such organizations, much less the general public.

However, Greta knew it, which quite aroused Sydney's curiosity.

Sydney came to a halt to dig deeper. Anyway, the police had been sent to summon Greta.

Sydney would get all the answers by interrogating Greta.

"You claimed Greta had given you $15,000, which means you are just an employee of hers, so why wouldn't you confess earlier?" asked Sydney, who sounded annoyed. There was no reason for him to keep the secret if it was just an employment relationship.

After all, Greta wasn't really significant to him, nor did hiding do him any good.

But this guy was so stubborn and reluctant to tell the truth. If it were not for Julien's interrogation skills, they would have never known.

Sydney had no faith in any of his professional ethics.

There must be a reason hiding behind this.

Seeing her identify the hinge so quickly, Julien was impressed, and a proud smile appeared on his face.

Of course, his sweetheart was indeed clever!

"It's not that I wanted to keep her a secret," the suspect cried out in agony, "but Greta threatened to harm my girlfriend if I confessed. I have no way."

"But in the end, you betrayed her." Sydney glanced in his direction.

'His girlfriend was not that crucial in his view after all.' Sydney scorned him in silence.

Her sarcasm was clear to the man. He grumbled, "It's not my fault. It's due to your torment on me."

"Whether or not we tortured you is irrelevant. It shows that, at least in comparison to you, your girlfriend was not that important in your mind." Sydney debunked him relentlessly. The man started to speak but eventually stopped, running out of excuses.

He was fully aware and ashamed now.

Julien gave him a disgusted glance and then turned to face Sydney. He assured her, "Don't worry, honey. I'm not a man like him. If I were in danger, I wouldn't trade you off for my safety." Sydney responded with a nod, "I believe in you."

It was not a casual echo; Sydney firmly believed it instead.

Julien had been taught since he was young that he shouldn't sacrifice others to meet his needs.

That was why Sydney chose to believe him without any hesitation.

With Sydney's affirmative answer, Julien smiled and smoothed his knitted eyebrows.

"All right, Greta threatened to avenge your girlfriend, but how do you know she has the ability to track down your girlfriend?" Sydney raised another question.

"Greta has, I'm sure," the man groaned. "She shouldn't have known that I have a girlfriend because our relationship is not in any public records. She is aware, though, as she correctly named my girlfriend's address. How else would Greta know all of this unless she is not an ordinary person?"

Sydney was stuck on this question.

'Greta hired this man randomly shortly before, so it was impossible to know about his family background.

'While additional investigation needed time.

'Besides, power was necessary to look into others' social relations. Grata wouldn't be able to know his girlfriend if she had no background.

'Greta, on the other hand, knew exactly what she needed to know in a short amount of time.

'It indicated that Greta must have a powerful background.'

Julien realized it, too. He looked awful after realizing it.

He had asked Zach to investigate Greta previously. Results showed that she was affluent but unremarkable.

This fact went against previous survey replaceings. Greta had demonstrated her strength through what she had done.

Julien trusted his subordinates to not muddle through.

Then the sole explanation was that Greta intentionally concealed her true identity. To trick people, she feigned being an ordinary person. 'What a good move,' contemplated Julien.

Julien thought Greta was nobody.

But in reality, she faked everything.

"I'm going to make a call," Julien told Sydney while removing his hand from the man's neck and taking out his phone.

"Okay," responded Sydney. She knew he was going to contact the source to investigate Greta.

Julien gave her a pat on the head and walked out.
