The reason that he was able to go out alone and leave Sydney here was because the man was cuffed to the chair of regrets and wouldn't be able to hurt Sydney. Otherwise, he wouldn't be going out himself.

After walking out of the interrogation room, Julien's phone immediately had signal. He quickly dialed Zach's number. Zach was having a meal with his friends. When he received the call, a chill went down his spine.

That was because he had a feeling that he would start to get busy from that moment onwards.

Zach sighed and apologized to his friends. He then stood up and walked out of the room to take the call. "Mr. Flint."

"When you were doing a background check on Greta, was there anything out of the ordinary?" Julien immediately asked.

Zach was a little taken aback. "When I was investigating Greta? Mr. Flint, are you saying that there's something wrong with the things that we've found out about Greta?"

Julien didn't express his opinion. Instead, he just told Zach what he got from the man in the interrogation room. This caused Zach to gasp and realize why Julien would ask him such a question.

Greta had quite a complicated background. Her background was definitely not what they thought it was.

If Greta was really an ordinary person, how could she know about someone so quickly?

This meant that someone was behind Greta and helped her do a background check. Not only that but being able to finish a background check in such a short amount of time meant that the person or force behind her was quite powerful.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Flint. When I had people run a background check on her, I didn't see anything out of the ordinary. That's because everything about Greta had been normal. She was just an ordinary person. I couldn't tell that her background could be fake at all," replied Zach feeling a little guilty.

Julien knew that this wasn't Zach's fault.

After all, someone intentionally wanted to keep Greta's identity a secret. Therefore, if she was given a fake identity, then others wouldn't think that her identity was fake.

"Run another background check on her. This time, I want you to replace out everything about her." Julien gave the order with a cold face.

Zach nodded immediately. "Yes, Mr. Flint. Don't worry. I will definitely run a thorough background check this time."

"Okay." Julien nodded and then put down his phone.

He had people working on the background check now, but his brows were still furrowed. He was still frowning.

That was because he was still worried about something. He was worried about who exactly was this Greta and why she had to hide her true identity in front of him and Sydney as well.

Was it just a coincidence that Greta appeared in front of Sydney or was it on purpose?

It was best if everything was just a coincidence. If not, then it was obvious that Greta was trying to achieve something by getting close to himself and Sydney.

Since Greta had to hide her true identity, what she was trying to achieve wasn't something good.

No matter what Greta was trying to achieve, Julien wasn't going to let her succeed.

"What are you thinking about? Why do you have that terrifying look on your face?" At that moment, Sydney's voice sounded from behind.

The cold and murderous expression on Julien's face immediately disappeared and his face softened. He turned around and looked at the woman walking towards him and shook his head lightly. "I've just asked Zach whether he had seen anything out of the ordinary when he was running a background check on Greta. He said that there was nothing out of the ordinary."

Sydney wasn't surprised by that answer at all. She walked up to Julien and stopped. "That's normal. Otherwise, what's the point of getting a fake identity?" With that, she furrowed her brows. "However, when Zach was running a background check on Greta, he had definitely looked at the information on the Census Net. Census Net belongs to the government. The information on there can't be easily changed, but Zach was only able to replace that Greta had an ordinary background on Census Net as well. It's obvious that Greta's background on Census Net is fake as well. This means that the person behind Greta either works for the government or knows someone from the government. Otherwise, Greta's information can't be changed on Census Net."

"You've reminded me." Julien squinted his eyes and picked up his phone again to call Zach.

Zachi quickly answered the call. "Mr. Flint, is there something you want me to do?"

"Contact the Cohen family. Get them to replace out the government organization that's in charge of Census Net. I want to know who has recently used his authorization to change Greta's background information." Julien tightened his grip on the phone and his voice was as cold as ice.

Census Net belonged to the government. The information on there couldn't be changed easily. One would need a certain level of clearance to do so.

The use of authorization would definitely leave a record.

As long as Julien was able to replace out who authorized the change from the login records, he would be able to replace that person. Then replaceing Greta's true identity would be much easier.

"Okay, Mr. Flint, I understand. I'll get on it right away," Zach said seriously.

Julien nodded and hung up the call.

Sydney looked at Julien. "Alright, stop furrowing your brows. Zach's going to get to the bottom of this very quickly."

Julien put away his phone and smiled at her. "Alright, I'll stop frowning. Then can you smooth out my brows for me?"

Sydney looked at him. "You want me to even do such things for you? You can smooth out your brows yourself."

"I just want you to do it for me." Julien looked at her with expectant eyes.

Seeing this, Sydney smiled helplessly and waved her hand. "Lower your head then. You're too tall. It's too tiring for me to keep my hand raised."

"Okay." Seeing that Sydney was willing to smooth out his brows for him, Julien was overjoyed. He immediately lowered his head.

Sydney raised her hand and gently smoothed out Julien's furrowed brows.

Seeing that the frustration disappeared slowly from the man's face, Sydney let out a beautiful smile. "That's more like it. Don't frown all the time. If you frown too much, then you'll get wrinkles quite easily. This would cause you to age a lot faster. Aren't you afraid that you'll age too quickly?"

Julien smiled. "Alright, I'll try to frown less."

"That's more like it." Sydney removed her hand from Julien's brows. She then held the man's hand. "Let's go sit over there for a while. Greta's not here yet. We don't know how long she's going to take. Standing here to wait for her isn't an option."

Julien nodded in agreement. He obviously wasn't going to disagree with Sydney's suggestion.

The two of them were led into a small lounge by the police.

When they sat on the sofa, Sydney immediately yawned. A trace of sleepiness appeared on her face. Seeing this, Julien asked worriedly, "Tired?" Sydney rested her head on Julien's shoulder and nodded. "A little. On the days that we weren't having sex, I would have been fast asleep by now." Therefore, it was natural that she was feeling sleepy.

Julien looked at his watch. It was two o'clock in the morning. It was past midnight, so it was indeed quite late.

He gently wrapped his arms around Sydney's shoulders. "How about we go back home first? We can come back again tomorrow."

Sydney shook her head. "No. Since we're already here today, there's no need to come again tomorrow."

"But you're tired." Julien couldn't help but frown.

But he soon remembered that he had just made a promise to Sydney. He then immediately stopped frowning.

Everything happened so fast. Sydney didn't even see him frown.

Sydney yawned again. "It's alright. I can still hold on for a while."

As she said that, she yawned again. Tears even welled up in her eyes. The tiredness could be clearly seen on her face.

Her looks at the moment made the words she had said to have no credibility at all. Julien hesitated for a while and then said, "Lean on me and take a nap. I'll wake you up when Greta gets here."
