Sky’s Rejection Chapter 57

(Dean’s POV)

“Doc, I need you to run whatever test you think is necessary and figure out what is wrong with my mate. We also decided it was best if you started the antidotes to any poisons that could potentially harm a wolf or witch.” Dimitri stated, or more like demanded. I knew at any minute I might have to hold him back seeing the way he is eyeing the doctor.

“Anything for our Luna Queen.” Doctor Ron replied before getting straight to work on Sky. The more he touched her, the more I could see Dimitri fighting with his wolf. What do I do?

‘Go to him.’ Ariel linked to Mark and myself. All this stress and she still hasn’t popped that baby out. I honestly couldn’t believe it. I shake my head, trying to clear my mind of unnecessary thoughts. I walked over to Dimitri, as fast as the crowded room allowed. I grabbed his shoulder and arm, as Mark took his other side. Within seconds, Sky screamed in her unconscious state as the doctor pushed around on her stomach. Dimitri lost control of Demon and it was taking all of Mark and I’s strength to hold him back.

“Calm down Di.” Mark Said in a strained voice as he tries to keep Dimitri from moving near the Doctor.

“You two need to stop him from getting to the doctor or we will be dealing with a whole lot of issues we don’t need right now.” Ariel says in a panic as her eyes widen and she tries to move herself out of harms way.

‘Do you think you could do anything to help babe?’ I asked Diane through our mate bond, trying to glance at her across the room.

‘I could temporarily sedate him, I am not sure how long it will last.’ Diane replied with uncertainty through our bond.

‘Do it.’ I mind linked back to her with strain. Holding a pissed off Royal wolf from his mate was not in my plans right now.

‘Alright.’ Diane replied with hesitation. I watched as she slowly raised her hands before chanting under her breath. Her sole focus on Di. I wanted to tell her how much she had every ounce of my heart at this point. Watching her with perfection as she used her witch powers was hypnotizing. This was my mate. As I was lost in thought Dimitri went limb in my arms, making me sigh in relief. Struggling against my best friend and Alpha went against every ounce of my nature. I felt sparks before realizing Diane had slithered her way over to my side.

“It’s okay now.” She said with a slight smile, rubbing her hand in a circular motion on my back. Successfully calming me down. I gave her a slight reassuring smile before looking over to Mark. He looked petrified, it was almost funny.

“Diane put him into a sedated state, per my request. She doesn’t know how long it will last, so let’s take a break before he comes back into his right mind. Let’s place Di on the arm chair and relax until he wakes back up.” I told Mark, making him nod in slight relief but I could still see he was partially scared. I turned towards the doc, “Might want to finish up quickly, I am sure he is not going to want to see you till Demon calms down.”

I placed Di down before sitting at his side with Diane next to me. Mark sat on his other side, as Ariel came over and sat next to him. She was sweating as if she ran around the whole territory, what is up with her?

“Of course Royal Beta Dean, I will be done after switching out her antibiotics for the last possible poison. I am sorry for the inconvenience her exam caused.” Doctor Ron said with a bow. He finished quickly before scurrying out of the room. Diane snuggled up to my side and I sighed in content. I finally have my mate, just like I always dreamed.

*Flashback*

“Dean, help Diane replace the right fit as the new king and inform the council what has happened here. They need to know about the change in power as well. I will leave all but ten warriors with you. Have them swipe over the whole Kingdom and make sure no one who is loyal to that a*s-hat is still alive. Come home when everything is settled. I am going to take Our Luna Queen home.” Dimitri ordered as I glanced over at Diane.

“Yes Alpha,” I responded with a smile on my face. I couldn’t wait to talk with my mate. First, I needed to make sure my Alpha and Luna got home safely. “Bravo team, escort our Alpha and Luna home. The rest of you scope out the land and make sure nothing else is going on here. I want full reports within the hour.”

“Hi.” Diane said softly as she approached me, I turned towards her. Seeing the fading bruise made my wolf whine in sadness. We wanted revenged but I knew Sky already got it for me.

“Hey, I want you to know hoe sorry I am for marking you the way I did. You avoided me and made me feel like you didn’t want me. I have done nothing but dream about my mate and how I would always cherish her. Then I screw up within seconds. Of course that isn’t any excuse I just want you to know me better and maybe see why I did it. Again it was wrong and I fully take responsibility…..” I ramble, and am sure I never would have stopped if it wasn’t for my mate. She giggled slightly before gripping onto my shirt and slamming her lips into mine. The mate bond exploded through out my body as I gripped her around the waist and yanked her up into my arms. She gave out the cutest little squeal as her arms wrapped around my neck. I was getting painfully hard and she pushed me over the top as she released a m**n into my mouth as I squeezed her a*s in my hands. I loved how responsive she was to me.

I slowly pulled my lips away, as I looked deep into her eyes. I felt our souls pull closer together. Within seconds, before I could think, Diane said the words that made me go weak in the knees. “I am yours and you are mine. I accept you as my mate, Dean.”

She whispered against my neck, as I felt my mate bond begin to engrave itself into my skin. She was officially my mate and not only did she wear my mark, I also had hers. I smiled at her before gently kissing her nose and letting her back onto her feet.

“Let’s go replace a replacement King and call the council… mate.” Diane said in her sweet voice before giggling and running off. I ran after her, never feeling more content with my life as I did in that moment.

*End of Flashback*

I was snapped out of my thoughts as I felt panic feel the room. Ariel whined softly, “Um, Mark? I think the pup is coming.”

I looked down to what she was staring at and saw a pool of water. What the hell is that? Wait a minute… She is having the pup. s**t. Sky is not going to be happy she missed this.

“I can help.” Diane said as she shot out of the seat next to me and ran over to Ariel. As soon as she touched Ariel’s arm, I watched Ariel’s face relax in relief.

“What are you doing to her?” Mark question in a panic, worry lacing every word.

“Just taking her pain away slightly until we can get her to the pack hospital. I definitely do not know how to deliver a baby, and a pup one at that.” Diane said as I watched her eyes widen in horror. Now to think of it, I don’t know how to deliver a pup either. I jolted up out of my seat and looked around. What are we suppose to do with the Alpha and Luna? We can’t leave them two alone unconscious. If something happened I would never here the end of it.

‘Doc, we need a bed ready for the Gamma Female, it is pup time.’ I mind linked the doctor as I got an excited squeal in return. Dimitri’s mother. See, when you message the pack doctor about new arrivals it automatically links in the Luna. Of course that is Sky, but because she is unconscious, it goes to the previous Luna or Beta Female. Hence the lovely squeal that just blew my ear drum.

‘Hurry, hurry. I can not wait to meet the new pup. How is Sky? How is Ariel feeling? Where is my son? His father has been trying to contact him for over an hour now.’ Samantha said all at once. She has always been a rambler.

Be fore I could answer her, Ariel screamed a b***d curdling high pitch grunt of pain. I could feel it echoing throughout me. I looked over to see her face contorted in pain. Diane was looking around in confusion as she slowly removed her hand, staring of in space. What the hell just happened. I started making my way towards Ariel as I felt someone jump behind me, landing btween Ariel and myself. A light blue orb surrounded them before the disappeared. Holy s**t.

I looked between the hospital bed and where Ariel was standing seconds ago. Di was groaning by my side, slowly coming out of the sedation. It is as if the pain relief on Ariel and sedation on Di wore off at the same time. The craziest part is …. That was Sky.

She’s awake. How did she wake up? What was wrong with her? How did she disappear with Ariel like that? How did she even know what was going on? Wait, the biggest question is where the hell did she go?

“WHERE IS MY MATE?” Di bellowed as he spun around in circles. Mark and Diane looked confused as if just realizing Sky was gone also. Did they not see her jump right next to Ariel?

“Where is my mate and pup?” Mark asked softly as a single tear fell down his face. Di whipped around towards Mark, looking as if he could kill someone. As soon as he saw Mark’s face, I watch Di walk towards him and engulf him into his arms.

“We will replace them buddy. Tell me what is going on?” Di said softly with concern and care lacing his every word. Di is the best Alpha and an even better brother. Time to replace their mates and figure out what is going on with mine.
