Sky's Rejection
Sky’s Rejection Chapter 73

(Sky’s POV)

“Calling one, calling all.

Nature here, nature far.

Lavish none, banish all.

Don’t prolong, who don’t belong.”

I laid back as I chanted, repeatedly. I felt as if my body was slowly melting away. I wasn’t sure if it was the magic I was using or because of whatever was happening to my body. My bones ached, as fire seared underneath my skin. I felt every last one of the rogues leave our territory, allowing me to breathe a sigh of relief. Though it didn’t last as the pain began to intensify again.

“Did we remove the placenta yet? At least locate it?” Ty asked, looking deeply at the doctor. She shook her head no, as Ty grunted in annoyance. The words were blurring together as a constant ringing echoed in my ears. I felt as if I was dying. My body was heavy even though I could still feel the pain pulsating through me.

“Alpha, you should see this.” Doctor Lilian spoke in a shaky voice. See what? Honestly right now I didn’t care if she could just get these pains to lessen even in the slightest.

“Luna? I need you to push again.” Doctor Lilian said. Did she replace the placenta? Will this make the pain stop? I am willing to try anything to make this pain disperse.

I grabbed onto my mate’s hand, realizing now how pale he was looking. What did the doctor tell him or show him to make him have this kind of reaction? I pulled Ty by his hand to the other side of me and decided to push everything else out of my mind. I could worry about everything after this pain is gone. Ty stared at Dimitri as if he was trying to assess his emotional state. I pushed myself forward, as my body protested in every way. I could really use Rain and Angel right now.

Alright Sky, breathe you have this. I spoke to myself trying to build up the encouragement I need to continue.

Push, push, push. I kept pushing, trying my hardest to send whatever was stuck out. Maybe that would stop this insufferable pain.

“Hold on, Luna Queen.” Doctor Lilian said. I slammed my back into the bed, breathing heavily. Whatever I was doing, it wasn’t decreasing this pain at all. If it was doing anything, I was only making myself dizzy and nauseous. Goddess, please make this pain stop.

“What is it? Why did you have her stop? Is everything fine?” Dimitri went on a rant, his emotions seemed to be all over the place. I squeezed his hand, as I sent a reassuring smile his way. I needed him to be calm. If for some reason, I am dying our little princess will need him to be there for her. I looked over at Ty, his expression showing he understood exactly what I was trying to tell him. I needed to know he would watch over my little girl if I had to leave this world. Ty had a saddened look on his face, as he started to dab at the sweat pouring down me. I saw the unsheded tears building in his eyes. I wish I could stop his pain but right now I have too much of my own.

Doctor Lilian reached into me, a piercing screech ripped through my lips, my mind blanking from everything as black spots invaded my vision. What the hell did she just do to me? My nails dug into Ty and Dimitri’s hands, as I heard both their panicking voices turning into nothing but a jumbled mess. I couldn’t understand any of it, it was all incoherent static.

(Ty’s POV)

Sky’s scream echoed between the walls; her eyes seemed to be sinking into themselves. Her focus drifted elsewhere as her nails dug into my hand. B***d pooled between our hands, and I wondered what possibly could have happened.

“Sky, are you alright? Please respond.” I pleaded as I looked at her pale face.

“Sky, my love. What is happening, talk to me. SKY.” Dimitri pleaded; he seemed lost as he crouched down near her face.

“What did you do to her?” I spoke in anger towards the doctor, gritting my teeth to stop me from screaming at her. Sky seemed to slightly relax before tensing up again.

“I… I… I didn…” Doctor Lilian began, stumbling over her words. She seemed to be frightened, maybe she didn’t understand what had occurred either.

“HOW DARE YOU HARM THE LUNA QUEEN?” Dimitri bellowed, though his eyes never left Sky. He was only worried and that is why he was expressing himself this way. He usually thought reasonably until it came to Sky. I mean what wolf wasn’t like that.

“Dimitri, calm down.” I said slowly as I shifted my eyes towards him. Anger building in Sky’s mate wasn’t going to help her any.

“Luna Queen, I need you to push again.” Doctor Lilian said as Dimitri turned towards her with a snarl. I shook Sky a little and realized she wasn’t registering anything around her. I need a new plan. That’s it.

“On my count lift Sky in a sitting position. She will realize we need her to push.” I said as I wrapped my arm around her shoulder. Dimitri followed suit. I hope this works. “One, two three.” We both yanked Sky in a sitting position, her head hanging backwards. Come on, come on. We need you Sky.

After a few minutes, Sky growled in agony as she pushed harder than I have seen her push all night. Her hand wrapped around my arm squeezing and I only hoped Dimitri was feeling the same pain she was causing me. It only took ten minutes before Sky laid back in exhaustion. She seemed to be breathing steadily. Maybe her pain has finally stopped.

“How are you feeling, my love?” Dimitri asked near Sky’s ear. She m****d before she sent a reassuring smile up at him. The pain must be better. She doesn’t seem as if she is faking to satisfy her mate this time.

“Did you get the placenta?” I asked hurriedly to Doctor Lilian. I wanted to know if this was over or if I would have to watch Sky suffer longer. She needed to rest and finally meet her pup.

“Yes, I got the placenta and pup number two.” After Doctor Lilian’s words came out, Sky jolted up to see. A quiet little cry rang through the room, and I would have to say we were all in shock at this point.

“Second pup? We did multiple ultrasounds and there was always only one. How is this possible?” Dimitri asked in shock. He was holding the pup in his arms, looking at it as if it was an alien.

“It’s a boy. Born an hour apart from his sister. Some pups hide themselves. I am surprised they both survived. A lot of wolves are pregnant with two pups and never know. One is hiding the whole time before they pass away in the womb. This is the first record of surviving twins. It is indeed impressive, though I should have expected this with the first ever hybrid.” Doctor Lilian explained.

Dimitri curled up on the bed with his mate as he held the little prince between them. They seemed content, as Sky finally seemed relaxed. I watched as Angel and Rain took the front to see their pup.

“Where is our princess?” Sky asked softly. You could tell this took a lot out of her, but she wanted to be able to bond with their children.

“I will go get her.” I stated, heading towards the bathroom. I typed in the code, pushing the bathtub to the side. As I lifted the little pup in my arms, I watched a yawn come out of her tiny little mouth. She looked up at me with the prettiest eyes I have ever seen. It was like every color slowly rotated in her eyes as specks of silver and gold floated around. She was stunning, almost hypnotizing. This little girl will be more like her mother than anyone thinks. I walked out of the bathroom, holding the princess close as I approached Sky and Dimitri.

“Sky, she reminds me so much of you. Here she is.” I said, as I passed the princess to Sky’s outstretched arms.

“Do you mind?” Dimitri asked as he held out the little prince. I took him in my arms, faster than I have ever reacted to anything before.

“Of course not. I would love to see our little prince.” I declared as I cradled the little guy in my arms. His bright blue eyes stared up at me and I almost felt as if he was judging me like his father always did. I chuckled internally. The princess seems so much like Sky, while the prince is a spitting double of his father. Goddess can only help us with these two.

“I have chosen names; would you like to hear them?” Sky asked as she stared up at me. The way Dimitri looked I assume they had been trying to get my attention for a few minutes now. I must have got lost in my thoughts.

“Of course, little one.” I said with a bright smile on my face. No matter their names I will love them as much as I love Sky. They are a part of her, now making them a part of me.

“This little princess will be named, Xeraphina Goddess Royal. That little prince will be named, Xavier God Royal. They will rule together.” Sky said as she stared at her children lovingly. These two will have enough love to satisfy a lifetime.

Xeraphina. First born, Princess of Wolves. Special little girl.

Xavier. Second born. Prince of wolves. Father’s prodigy.
