Roma’s pov:

Who would have ever thought that I’d see the day where I’m happy and at peace with myself.

I stood at my window and watched as Aria was laughing and playing with my little boy. My mate and my son. Joy filled my heart, making it lighter and freer. The weight in my chest was no longer pressing down on me. I was no longer plagued with recurring nightmares and frightening dreams.

It was midnight but my mate didn’t care. She insisted on this get togethers once a month when the full moon is at its highest.

Sophia, Aria’s best friend was laying a blanket on the ground and helping my beta to set some food for the picnic.

Raphael looked at Sophia softly, took her hand and kissed her knuckles.

I grinned to myself. Raphael liked to tease me that I was hopelessly in love with my mate but he was the hopeless romantic when it came to his second chance mate.

After the battle with the hunters, Raphael had wasted no time in telling Sophia how he felt and he had successfully marked her and claimed her as his.

My son, Luca, waddled into Raphael’s waiting arms, who picked him up, threw him up in the air and caught him.

Aria came and wrapped her arms around Sophia, kissing her on the cheek.

I was no longer the monster that people feared. I was the hero, the proud alpha of this pack with a lovely family and healthy heir… And a beautiful wife.

As if sensing my thoughts, Aria suddenly looked up and smiled at me, waving me over.

I smiled back proudly at her.

My family was happy. The pack was safe and prosperous.

I looked at the moon shining over us and muttered a quick prayer of thanks.

She had really been good to me.
