Super Mommy and Her Triplets -
Chapter 126
Chapter 126
Henry Cadman was a famous surgeon who had two PhDs. He also had more than forty years of clinicalpractice and was an internationally renowned professor of medicine.
After reading through the information on Glen's sickness, Henry shook his head and sighed. “IfCataleya were still around, she would definitely be able to successfully conduct the surgery. It'sunfortunate that she died from an illness two years ago.”
Artemis frowned at that. “Mr. Cadman, are you referring to Cataleya, the doctor who was skilled in bothmodern and traditional medicine?”
“You're right.” Henry stroked his white beard. He seemed to have suddenly thought of something, forhis expression turned sorrowful.
He sighed. “Cataleya had helped countless people in her lifetime, but she could not save herself in theend. She had been forcefully taken away by her sickness.”
Felicity quickly walked up to him and asked, “Does Ms. Cataleya have any disciples? Her brilliant skillsin medicine should have been passed down. Please tell us, Mr. Cadman. Old Mr. Chivers' sicknesscannot be dragged on any longer.”
“Disciples?” Henry muttered to himself. He then shook his head. “I've never heard of her acceptingdisciples. She was always on her own and was never tied down by anything. She didn't want to causeunnecessary trouble for herself. Therefore she didn't accept disciples.”
A look of disappointment could be seen on Felicity's face.
Artemis was getting frustrated as well.
Cataleya had been serving as a brilliant doctor for nearly her entire life and had saved countless lives. Was she really willing to bring all of her brilliant medical skills to the grave alone?
“Oh, right. I remember something.” Henry smacked his thigh. “My memory is terrible. I can't believe Iforgot such an important thing. Around three years ago, Cataleya told me that the royal family ofEskaria invited her to perform a craniotomy on the king. However, moving around was hard for her, soshe kept rejecting them. In the end, she couldn't withstand the pressure and sent a close friend of hersto Eskaria in her place.”
“Cataleya also said that her friend was smart and gifted. If she hadn't vowed to never accept disciples, she would have accepted that girl. Regardless, although they didn't have a mentor-mentee relationship, she still shared all of her medical techniques with the girl,” Henry added.
Felicity became excited when she heard that.
However, she soon lost the prior excitement when she thought about it.
The woman that Cataleya had sent to treat the king was probably Anonymous.
Alas, they could not even replace her.
“Are you talking about Anonymous?”
Henry nodded. “You're right. Her alias is Anonymous. Nonetheless, I have never seen her before.
According to Cataleya, she is an extremely talented child. Cataleya wouldn't have passed herknowledge to her if that wasn't the case.”
“Do you have any contact with Anonymous? Do you perhaps know where she is?” Felicity rushed toask.
Henry only sighed and shook his head. “It's a shame. I visited Cataleya before she died and managedto replace out that the girl had been through a lot and had decided to stop practicing medicine. This isprobably the reason behind her decision to disappear. It will be hard for you to replace her. Cataleya saidthat not many people know of Anonymous' real identity.”
Felicity's legs gave out as she slumped onto the couch.
They had gone through extreme lengths only to end up in the same spot.
She looked up at Artemis and said, “We can only beg Veronique. You must replace out about Anonymous'whereabouts from her. It doesn't matter even if I have to kneel and beg her, for I must get thatinformation from her. I can't possibly see him die just like that.”
Artemis nodded. “I got it. Leave Veronique to me. You and Uncle Yoel should accompany Granddadmore and convince him. What's most important is that he agrees to the surgery.”
“Okay.”
Meanwhile, in the patient's ward, Glen glared at Simon. “You really don't want to marry her?”
Simon shook his head furiously.
What kind of question was that?
He would rather die than marry the woman who threatened to release a dog to bite off his groin.
Glen grabbed the glass on the bedside table and smashed it toward Simon.
“You good-for-nothing fool! Have you forgotten your lessons on bearing responsibility? I wouldn't haveasked you to marry her if it weren't for her already giving birth to two kids. How dare you tarnish her?”
Simon barely managed to avoid the glass, and he quickly retreated to a corner of the room. “I don'tdeserve to enjoy what I never helped with. Please replace a better suitor for her, and don't trouble meanymore.”
Glen was about to laugh at how angry he was. “Fine. If you don't want to marry her, I'll get your cousinto do it.”
Simon lowered his head, and a smile appeared on his face.
In the end, he still had to rely on his family in crucial times.
However, Simon did not dare to get in the way of Glen's plans. It was better that he escaped from this.
Noticing that Simon didn't make a move to object, Glen became more determined.
Eddy will marry her, then.
“Granddad, we've already reached an agreement. Let Edmund marry her. Don't go back on your word.”
Glen waved his hand dismissively. “Get lost. Don't appear in front of me these few days. What aneyesore.”
Simon was rendered speechless.
In the study at the infirmary, Justin poked his head out from the piles of documents that were stackedbefore him. He glanced at Dwayne, who had just walked in, and frowned. “Why are you here?”
Dwayne shrugged. “It's Saturday. I'm here to visit Old Mr. Chivers.”
Justin snorted, and he pointed to the ceiling above him. “His ward is on the third floor. You're at thewrong place. Get lost.”
Dwayne walked over and smacked Justin on his shoulder. “You're already going to be a husband. Whyare you still so temperamental? I was passing by the second floor and decided to pay you a visit,” heteased.
With a disgusted look, Justin slapped his hand off. “If you have nothing to say, get lost.”
Dwayne blinked at him and smiled knowingly. He lowered his voice and replied, “Vero, who had a crushon you back then, is back. You should have met with her, right? Since you're still not married yet, whydon't you—”
Justin stared right at him. His eyes were cold and sharp as he glared venomously at Simon.
Dwayne ducked his head and quickly said, “Okay, okay. I'll stop talking. However, everyone from theRevelle family is a medical genius. Did you know that Simon and Zayron's paternity test was done bythe young boy Yvonne placed under her sister's care? He's only seven, but he's so brilliant.”
Justin's hand, which was holding a pen, froze momentarily.
“How did you know that?” he asked.
“I did some investigation on it. Artemis wanted me to replace out where Zayron sent Simon's blood sample.I found out that he gave it to a boy named Kai. I then realized that he's the grandson of the Revellefamily,” Dwayne responded.
Justin narrowed his eyes while a look of admiration flashed across his eyes. Although he did notpersonally read the paternity test, it should be accurate if it could be acknowledged by the NotaryPublic Office.
The seven-year-old child had to have extraordinary talent if he was able to produce such a completeand precise paternity test.
He started to become interested in the boy.
“Do you have the original copy of the paternity test? Let me have a look.”
