“I want to look into my background, Artemis. I want to know what on earth happened back then.”

Unsurprisingly, Artemis didn't turn her down.

As he brushed his lips along the nape of her neck, he murmured, “I've already sent someone toinvestigate, and I'm sure we'll get some news soon. Don't worry. I'll help you replace your family. You mayseem cold and indifferent, but deep down inside, I know you've been yearning for family love.”

With that, Bailey smiled and melted into his embrace. “From today onward, I'm giving myself to you.The past few years have been too hectic and tiring. I can hardly breathe with all this weight on myshoulders.”

Artemis hugged her even tighter.

Yes, she's right. She single-handedly raised two children and even managed to teach them so well. Ican only imagine the amount of pressure she had faced over the years.

“Sure. Leave everything to me from now on,” Artemis reassured. “After all, I'm your man. There's noneed to feel bad or shameful for depending on me. With me around, all you need to do is enjoy yourlife.”

Bailey couldn't help but chuckle.

When the rays of sunlight poured through the windows, she instinctively raised a hand to shield hereyes. Is this what tranquility feels like? Wow... It sure is addictive.

“Bay, should I make a public announcement about our kids?”

“Huh? What for?” Bailey asked, looking somewhat bemused.

Artemis smiled and planted a kiss on her lips. “I'm afraid that some people might try to smear ourprivate lives. According to Ken, someone secretly photographed us in the restaurant last night. Givenour current situation, there will undoubtedly be an uproar if our intimate photos are leaked.”

To the man's surprise, Bailey merely smirked as a devilish glint flashed in her eyes. “It's okay. Let themsay whatever they like. We'll announce the truth about our kids once things have reached a criticalpoint. That way, it'd be a tight slap in the face of those gossipmongers. Ha! I can't wait to see theirdefeated looks!”

The more Artemis gazed at the mischievous yet gorgeous woman, the more he felt himself falling headover heels in love with her. He was, without a doubt, ready to do anything for Bailey.

“Sure. We'll do as you say.”

At a hotel near the eastern outskirts of Hallsbay, Rose flung a card at the two thugs in front of her.“There's a total of five hundred thousand in this card. If you follow my instructions and violate RainieYeanisky from Fashionista, I'll reward you with another five hundred thousand.”

Micah sobered up almost immediately. “Where is he?”

“He was last seen in Springwyn, so I checked the immigration records. He's still there.”

By then, Micah had grabbed the phone and sat up straight.

“Have you found out where he's staying?”

“Not yet. The Saviors has a branch in Springwyn, so we have to tread lightly. We don't want to alert the

enemy.”

“Good,” Micah said through gritted teeth as he stood up from the couch. “Secretly investigate them andtry not to arouse any suspicion. Even if they're alerted, no one is to make a move. I don't want anyharm to befall my woman. Do you hear me?”

“Yes, of course.”

After pacing back and forth in the living room with the phone in his hand, Micah eventually decided tomake a trip to Springwyn.

“Jerry, I'm going overseas for a few days. If Artemis asks about it, tell him I've returned to Tarragon'sheadquarters.”
