Chapter 358

The news published was more shocking and exciting than the previous one.

In the end, some newspapers even publicized the photograph.

In that incriminating picture, Bailey and Artemis were embracing each other in a restaurant.

The oversized photograph took up almost a quarter of the entire page.

What do people call this again? This is a smoking gun!

Artemis left the restaurant with Bailey in his arms. The two were behaving intimately before getting intothe car and driving to a private mansion. What did that imply?

Any adult could imagine what happened between them on that night.

A loud smack rang out across the Luther residence.

Gerald slammed the newspaper in his hand onto the coffee table. His face turned gloomy like a ragingstorm.

“Simon Luther, get your as* down here!”

The butler on the side informed fearfully, “M-Mr. Luther, Mr. Simon didn't come home last night.”

Hearing that, Gerald slammed his hand on the table.

These two b*stards! Are they trying to give me a heart attack?

Sitting on the side, Felicity narrowed her eyes as she read the newspaper's contents.

She somehow felt relieved seeing her son being intimate with Bailey.

In all honesty, she was reluctant to let that awful woman from the Shurmer family marry into the Lutherfamily.

She would rather accept Bailey than have Zoey as her daughter-in-law.

“Now that Artemis is together with Bailey, it's hard for us to change that fact. It's better to think of waysto suppress this matter,” Felicity suggested.

“No way!” Glaring at his wife, Gerald said through gritted teeth, “Our family can't afford to lose face likethis. It's beyond embarrassing for the elder brother to covet his younger brother's woman. If we allowthem to continue making mistakes, don't you think the Luther family will become the laughingstock ofthe whole world?”

Felicity slowly got up and walked toward the stairs. “Fine. Go ahead if you want to trouble yourself andinterfere in their personal lives. I don't have the energy to deal with these matters. They can marrywhomever they want. Our children can take care of themselves. I think I have finally come around tothat fact.”

Gerald was at a loss for words.

While the public was in an uproar, the two main subjects of the chaos were enjoying themselves in themansion.

Lying in Artemis' arms on the grass, Bailey looked at the horizon and said with a chuckle, “It's indeedhuman nature to act in a despicable way. They still want to annoy me even though they clearly knowthat they are fighting a losing battle.”

Artemis reached out and caressed her face. Arching his brow, he asked, “How despicable indeed. Theystill dare to provoke you despite knowing how capable you are. That's just dumb.”

Pfft!

Bailey could not hold back her laughter.

That wicked woman is at it again.

“Guess who's messing with me again this time?”

Artemis blinked and fell silent. After a while, he asked tentatively, “Was it the Jefferson family?”

Bailey shook her head.

“Then was it the previous Best Actress, Rose?” Artemis asked.

Once again, Bailey shook her head. Glaring at him, she commented with a pout, “Come on! You'redoing this on purpose. You've already guessed it, but you're playing dumb.”

Artemis chuckled. Massaging his temples, he said with a sigh, “I'm worried that you might throw atantrum since that woman likes me. That's why I didn't dare to mention her name in front of you.”

Glaring at him, Bailey retorted, “Am I that petty to you? Besides, she was the one who messed up therelationship between you two. I'm not going to remember her kindness for saving your life.”

“That's good to know.”

Remaining silent, Bailey fixated her gaze on the clouds in the sky. Despite the carefree look on herface, countless thoughts flooded her mind at that moment.

Zoey Shurmer... Waverly Gezmond...

Bailey felt as though she had figured something out, but when she delved further into it, she couldn'tseem to grasp that vague idea in her mind.

“Mr. Luther, your father is here. He's waiting for you in the study now,” the maid informed Artemis froma distance.

Artemis narrowed his eyes slightly, not intending to move at all.

Smiling, Bailey reached out to pinch his handsome face. “You'd better explain the situation to yourfather. It's about time he gives up. I know he likes Zoey, but there's no way I'm going to let go of theman I fancy. Oh, what should we do? This is a sticky situation.”

Artemis' mood instantly improved when he heard those words.

He pinched her nose and uttered softly, “Well, you should guard this man properly so that other womenwon't have a chance to steal him away.”

Giggling, Bailey wrapped her arms around Artemis' neck and kissed his lips. “Help me to settle thismatter with your parents. After all, they're my future in-laws. Maintaining a good relationship with themwill save us from a lot of trouble in the future.”

“Okay.”

When Artemis entered the study, he was met with a flying teacup that was aimed at his head.

He managed to avoid getting hit by dodging swiftly. Nonetheless, he did not reach out to catch it,allowing the priceless teacup to shatter on the floor.

“You b*stard! Don't you know she's your brother's woman? How dare you cross the line and getentangled with her? Are you trying to humiliate the Luther family's name?” Gerald thundered.

A smile crept up on Artemis' face as he stepped past the broken shards on the floor.

“Who said she is Simon's woman? Did you see them sleeping together?”

“B*stard!” In a fit of rage, Gerald picked up another teacup on the table and prepared to hurl it at hisson.

Arching his brows, Artemis said indifferently, “Calm down if you want to know the truth. Let's sit downand have a talk.”

The truth?

Gerald abruptly paused in his tracks.
