“What truth? Can you somehow change the fact that your brother slept with Bailey?” Gerald probed.

Artemis narrowed his eyes as he walked over to his father before sitting down.

Reaching out to take out a few documents from the drawer, he threw them in front of Gerald.

“Take a look at these yourself. Feel free to ask me any questions after reading them. I'll explaineverything in detail.”

Gerald's curiosity was piqued. He could not help but lower his gaze at the documents on the table.

He scanned the information on the documents quickly.

When Gerald finished reading the documents, he looked at Artemis in astonishment. ”M-Max is Bailey'schild?”

“The DNA test is right in front of you. You still don't believe it? Fine. If you're not convinced by this, feelfree to ask our family doctor to come over and redo the test,” Artemis replied.

Gerald was stumped.

Artemis has never been one to spread lies. I shouldn't question the authenticity of the DNA test heshowed me.

“Does that mean Rhonda stole Bailey's son back then? So, neither Zayron nor Susan are Simon'schildren. These two and Max are triplets given birth by Bailey.”

“That's right,” Artemis answered confidently. “There's no taboo regarding my relationship with Bailey.We love each other. As my father, you shouldn't prevent us from being together.”

Artemis' words sounded a bit harsh.

Shooting his son a death glare, Gerald raged, “What do you mean? Am I that unreasonable to you?”

Artemis merely shrugged. “Zoey is the daughter of your first crush. You insist that I marry her becauseof your favoritism. I only want to make my stance clear.”

Seeing that his father remained silent, Artemis did not want to waste time any longer. As he strodetoward the door, he added, “I've made up my mind that I won't marry anyone other than Bailey in thislife. If you insist on stopping me, I'll have to cut ties with the Luther family.”

“You b*stard! How the h*ll did I raise someone like you...”

The sound of Gerald's tirade sounded behind Artemis. However, the latter could not care less as he leftthe study without looking back.

Meanwhile, over in the Shurmer residence, Zeke threw a stack of newspapers onto the coffee table.

“Was this your doing?”

A bloodthirsty smirk crept up on Zoey's face as she glanced at the newspapers on the table.

The overwhelming insults from others should be able to make Artemis come to his senses. That b*tch,Bailey, will finally back off, right?

“Yes, that was me. However, this photograph was given to me by Mom. If you have any questions, goupstairs and ask her!” Zoey snapped.

The veins on Zeke's forehead were bulging as he held back his rising anger.

He did not understand why his mother and sister insisted on beating a dead horse.

It's clear that Artemis doesn't love her. So why is she so obsessed with him?

“Zoey, do you think you can break them apart just like that? Hah! You're so naive. I can assure you thatnot only will you fail to break them up, but they will humiliate you in the end.”

The grin on Zoey's face froze when she heard Zeke's words.

“W-What do you mean by that? How can they humiliate me?” she asked.

Instead of replying instantly, Zeke paced around the living room a few times. Only then did he manageto put out the flames of anger raging within him.

“Do you take Artemis for an idiot? Do you think he won't notice it when you guys secretly took picturesof him and let those photographs be published? To avoid Artemis, Bailey went out of her way to oweRaiden a favor. She asked him to use a battleship to send her away. Both of them are sensible people.If the truth was as it seemed, do you think it would be that easy for you to expose this scandal?” heprobed.

Zoey chuckled upon hearing that. “Zeke, these are merely your speculations. Now that the scandal isall over the internet and media, I don't believe Artemis will continue to make mistakes with no regard tothe Luther family's reputation.”

“You...” Zeke wanted to continue reprimanding Zoey, but after seeing the stubborn and determinedexpression on her face, he finally gave up.

“Fine. I hope you can accomplish your goal.”

With that, he stormed out of the living room.

Looking at Zeke's retreating figure, Zoey broke into a smirk.

Oh, I will surely accomplish my goal. Soon, Artemis will be forced to abandon Bailey due to theoverwhelming rumors.

Meanwhile, Gerald had left the private mansion.

Artemis went to the Chivers residence as well. He had to explain some matters to Glen personally.

At the same time, Bailey was catching up on sleep in the bedroom.

She knew that the man who had just had his first taste of sex would not be satisfied so easily. He wouldundoubtedly torture her again that night.

Amidst her sleepy haze, the phone next to the bed started ringing.

Grabbing the phone, Bailey saw that it was a call from Veikko.

She was wide awake within seconds.

Frowning, she sat up from bed and asked, “Veikko, did something happen to Shannon?”

“Ms. Bailey, someone is looking into me. The other party already knows that I'm in Springwyn. They'retrying to locate me.”

Bailey was stunned.

“All right, I got it. Don't act rashly. Wait for my instructions.”

With that, Bailey hung up the phone. Then, she found a set of codes before making a call.

“Use all the forces in Hallsbay to help me replace the whereabouts of Micah,” she ordered.

“Got it.”

Around ten minutes later, the other party returned the call. “Ms. Bailey, Micah left Hallsbay early in themorning. He took Tarragon's private plane. However, we can't locate his route. All we know is that hehas left the country.”

Bailey tightened her grip on the phone as her gaze turned cold.

She had a hunch that Micah had discovered Shannon's whereabouts.
