Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love
Chapter 104 I Don't Want To See You Ever Again

"Now is not the time to ask questions about love. You better think of a way to make Charles let go of us!" Caspar boasted an irate look as he scolded Fannie.

"What do you mean? I'm not going to ask Nancy for help! God, no!" Despise was written all over her face as she cursed those words like a spell.

"Are you an idiot?! I didn't exactly ask you to do that!" This time, Caspar aggressively rubbed his temple, trying to think of a solution. After pausing for a while, he continued, "Maybe we can still have a chance if dad and mom agree to help us!"

"What are you thinking? Are you going to sell out the shares I just gained?! What?! No way! I went through significant measures just to get my hands on them!" Fannie gritted her teeth in disbelief. There was n way he'd let Caspar do what he was thinking!

Seeing as how delusional and desperate Fannie was, he tried to knock some sense into her. Raising his hand, he landed a slap on her face and uttered, "Fannie Ning, if you dare to do against Nancy, I'm sure you'll be dead in less than a month. Just think about it!" Although Caspar did exaggerate a little, we weren't really lying at all. He knew Charles would do anything in his power to protect Nancy, and if that happened, they would be at a disadvantage.

So instead of trying to persuade Fannie in her deranged state, he got in his car and drove off, leaving the former behind. "Hey! You son of a bitch!" Left in utter disbelief, Fannie stamped her feet in anger all the while she tried to hail a taxi to go home.

When she got back, Jill was surprised to see the look on her daughter's face.

"Fannie, what's wrong with you?" she asked, staring at her red cheeks while wearing a long face.

"Caspar slapped me! That jerk!" Fannie cursed, covering her right cheek with her palm.

"Damn it! Why did he hit you? Tell me! I'll chop his hand off!" As her mother, Jill had never inflicted any physical injury to Fannie, let alone some man! How could she not be enraged with this? So, to soothe her mother's mood, Fannie immediately explained everything.

"Just as I thought. Something like this happened because you've gone too far. And now you're telling me to go and be Nancy? How could I be so shameless?!" Even Clark, who was sitting in the wheelchair, couldn't help but lash out.

"Shame is not important! I just need the stocks!" Fannie snapped at her father, arching her brows to showcase her irritation. Then, she turned to Jill and asked, "Mom, what should I do? What if Charles goes against us?"

"Your life is more important. Are you willing to give it up just for the money, Fannie?!" questioned Clark. His daughter might be cunning and inherently greedy, but Clark still cared about her safety. So, although he would seldom get mad, he couldn't help but raise his voice.

"Stop shouting! Can't you see? She already knows she's in trouble. Let's go and beg Nancy. Tell her we'll give her our shares in exchange for your safety," Jill suggested, finally realizing how grave the situation was. More than that, they knew Charles wouldn't let them go the second he learned about what they'd done.

"What?! No, mom! It's not up to Nancy. It's Charles we need to please, not her!" Fannie retorted, still unwilling to lower her pride to her half-sister.

Had it not been for Nancy, Charles wouldn't know who we are. So technically, it's really that woman's fault! And for the sake of our daughter, we need to replace Nancy and try begging her for help," Jill snarled. She almost swallowed her pride while saying those words.

"Okay, I'll listen to you, but this will be the last time!" Recognizing how helpless he was in this situation, Clark could only agree one last time.

So, when he and Jill barged in the sanatorium, Nancy was caught in utter surprise. They were the last people she was expecting to visit.

More than that, Nancy just didn't want to see them, especially now that her mother had fallen into a coma.

"Nancy, we heard that your mother was ill, so we came to personally check on her." With the softest voice she could muster, Jill pretended to be worried as if she hadn't viciously walked in here yesterday. But her facade didn't work on Nancy. After all, the latter had already been informed of what had tragically happened yesterday in the same room. "You did this, didn't you?! How dare you come here and attack my ill mother! You heartless being! Don't you have any conscience?! How could you sleep at night, huh?!"

Nancy couldn't refrain herself from flaring up. She was usually a very calm person, but since they did this to her mother, she couldn't just stay silent and do nothing. Perhaps it was the seething anger in Nancy's eyes, but Jill suddenly felt a pang in her heart. 'Am I really that evil? I only did that because of the shares!'

Reflecting on what happened and thinking about the shares, Jill couldn't help crying.

"Oh, I really didn't know Jade would suffer so much. I'm so sorry! I'll return the shares to you, Nancy! Please forgive us." After summoning up all her pride to beg, Jill reluctantly took out the deal with Jade's forced fingerprint.

"This is my mother's in the first place! You've really gone too far this time, Jill! If my mother can recover, I'd rather not have the shares." Standing beside her bedridden mother, Nancy pierced her sharp eyes through Jill.

But the latter seemed unaffected. In fact, she even kept winking at Clark to signal his cue in their grand facade.

So, decoding his wife's non-verbal cue, Clark uttered with a heavy sigh, "Nancy, forgive your aunt. We all know we did wrong."

"You have made too many mistakes, and every time, you just never learn to repent. So, what makes you think I'll believe you this time?!" The coldness in Nancy's voice made it clear that the two would never get what they wanted.

And in a desperate attempt, Jill took Nancy's hand and slapped herself in the face.

"I don't care. Just leave! I don't want to see you ever again!" The disdain in her voice showcased how sick she felt just by merely looking at their faces.

"In that case, you should ask Charles to let us go!" Jill was still unwavering. She'd never leave this room without assurance that Fannie will be safe.

"I can't change his mind!" Nancy was telling the truth, and even Jill and Clark knew that it would take so much to change Charles' mind once he had decided.

"Nancy, you can't leave us hanging. Are you willing to see the Ning family be ruined?" Sensing the finality in Nancy's tone, Jill felt so helpless and began to sob.

"Nancy, for my sake-your father-please stop Charles!" Clark's last trick in his sleeves was to play the father card in persuading her daughter. Although, if he was, to tell the truth, he too wasn't sure if it would work.

"Alright, alright. I will try, but I can't promise you that Charles will change his mind." As soon as she said that, both Jill and Clark almost jumped in elation while their eyes were filled with relief. However, at the back of Nancy's mind, she only said just because she wanted the two to leave. As for whether she would really do it, she had no idea.

"I know you can, Nancy. You are so sweet and kind. He loves you and would do anything for you." Jill had never, not even once, in her life, said such sweet words to Nancy. But since the situation called for it and because she was in dire desperation, she just had to do it.

Even Nancy felt disgusted with those words. So she just opened the door, signaling that it was time for them to leave.

"Go! I don't want to see you anymore," she sneered while holding the knob.

"I'm telling you the truth, Nancy. You have to persuade Charles!"

Jill shouted, but Nancy just slammed the door shut before heaving a deep sigh.

Then, she walked back towards the bed and placed the paper front of her mother. "Mom, Jill has given back your shares. Could you please wake up now? I need you, mom. Please don't ever scare me like that again."

Now that she was left alone, all her frustrations rained down at once. Suddenly, she felt her legs weaken, and her lips began to tremble. So she sat down by the bed and grabbed her mother's hand as tears came rolling down her cheeks.

She didn't care no matter how many shares she owned. They were not as important as her mother.

"Mom, please wake up. I only have you now. What will happen to me if you leave too?" She continued weeping while tightly clasping Jade's hand and rubbing it against her cheeks.

Nancy was in this position when her phone suddenly rang.

It was from an unregistered number.

"Hello?" Thinking that it was something about her patient, Nancy answered in a hurry.

However, it turned out to be Caspar.

"Nancy..." His voice sounded a little bitter from the other line.

"Caspar?" Nancy felt nothing but disgust upon hearing his voice.

"Yes, it's me. I didn't think Fannie would go that far. What should I do?" They were not really that close, so Nancy was baffled as to why he would call her to say this.

More than that, what happened between them in the past didn't matter to her now.

"Caspar, what does it have to do with me?" Nancy asked, thinking how ridiculous he sounded right now.

"I still love you, Nancy." Without thinking twice, Caspar blurted out his true feelings.

"You son of a bitch!" Nancy cursed in a low voice and hung up, feeling so flustered at that sudden confession.

As she tried to calm herself, the door suddenly reeked open.

And to her surprise, the bastard-Caspar-walked in, holding a large bouquet of roses.

"Fuck off!" she immediately shouted in a low voice.

"Nancy, I know you don't want to see me, but I really miss you. What I said is true-I still love you." With these words, he walked towards her, sporting a sly smile.
